Is this bad ? ? ?

i got sunburn and i'm NOT peeling or have sunposioning, what the heck? my cousion told me i'm sick, im i really sick, or is cousin being STUPID AND ABSURD?
Is this bad ? ? ?
Sunburns are dangerous. The most serious consequence of over exposure to the sun is skin cancer. Peeling usually follows several days later. The pain of a sunburn is usually greatest between 6 and 48 hours after exposure.

First you must stop the burn

Use cool wet compresses for first 48 hours. Baking soda or vinegar compresses are comforting. Do not use ice.

Cool oatmeal baths may be helpful

NO lotions or petroleum jelly in the first 48 hours!! These hold in the heat!

Apply moisturizing lotions after 48 hours

If your hair color is blonde/red, your eye color blue/green and you have many freckles you have a high risk of developing skin cancer if you exposure your body to sun too much.
Is this bad ? ? ?
hmm u need skin care
Reply:It depends on how long ago you got the sunburn. If it has been over a week contact your doctor
Reply:your cousin is being stupid
Reply:if u just got sunburn your ok but if you had it for more than a week call a doctor
Reply:it's not dangerous, it's lucky. I wish I didn't peel. usually when this happens, it's just a little red and then goes tan.

If you're talking about a 3rd degree burn here, then I'd say something's definitely strange. but over all, I'd say you were just lucky this time and you'll have a nice tan to show for it.

If you're REALLY that worried, you can go to an MD and have them check it. but I'd say, no peeling, no cry!
Reply:No you should be fine just rube some sun screen over it before you go to bed and drink plenty of water if this does no help talk to your doctor.
Reply:As old as possible
Reply:maybe u should get ya skin check and use a diffrent body wash that my cure it or make it better u'r situation

Her ex bf just stopped by unannounced?

she dated im a few years ago. dont hardly ever talked over the few years. The last time she talked to him was before we started dating. he contacted her last week by IM. Yesterday, he just stopped by unannounced. He was there for about 15 minutes. She told me, and i asked her if she talked about us? she said no, it didnt come up. Though she had sunburn, and when he asked her about it, she said she was at a tournament, my tournament, but admitted to me she purposely left me out of it. i asked her why, and she said she didnt want to throw it in his face. Please help me understand?
Her ex bf just stopped by unannounced?
hmm this is hard she should have said something ... like stand up or respect your relationship ... something like that .. instead of a tournament she should have said my b/f s tournament that was kindve messed up but at least she was honest
Her ex bf just stopped by unannounced?
Well at least she was honest in telling you that he stopped over. I think your over-analyzing this a bit if she wanted someone else I'm sure she would tell you as long as you guys have a good relationship. As long as it doesn't keep happening and she doesn't lie I would just let it slide. No need to cause a problem over nothing
Reply:First off an ex showing up without being invited , and the person invited him in ?? hMMMM let me to wonder maybe dep down she still wants him
Reply:She probably didn't want to hurt his feelings, she's with you why are you worried?
Reply:well it sounds like something's going on. he probably wants her back and she is too afraid to tell you. she's probably feeling very confused and scared. i wouldn't worry if i were you, it sounds like she really wants to stay with you. and she's being honest with you, so you're okay. :] just reaffirm to her that you're always there for her, night/day. always.

just letting her know that should really help.

other than that, there's really nothing you can do.

good luckkk !
Reply:Disregard my answer i completely misunderstood the question!
Reply:You just have to understand that girls have to keep a distance away from their boyfriends. what she means by throwing it in your face is that she wants to wait till she is comfortable with it and then tell you. It's how girls work. But you are not totally wrong, it is alright to be suspicious about what she said. But I advise you, wait till she is ready
Reply:i dunno i mean its different if he still cool with her fam
Reply:All I gotta say about that is don't be blind. I wouldn't really try to understand it-just be on the lookout for other signs. If she continues to see him I would have a serious talk. I'm not believing her but try not to ask so many questions or your gonna drive yourself crazy. Just let it go for now.
Reply:Perhaps she felt it would be awkward to talk to her ex BF about her present relationship, even if she doesn't feel anything toward him anymore. I mean, if you visited with an ex GF, would you want her to go on about the guy she's seeing? (Although a brief acknowledgement would've been nice...)
Reply:She may still have feelings for him. I'm not saying she wants to leave you and run to him but when you have truely moved on you don't care about hurting an Ex's feelings. Obviously something in their IM lead him to believe that he could just drop by anytime and be welcome.

You need to have a honest talk with you girlfriend and don't make any demands but let her know how you feel and see where you relationship goes from there.

Cold sore help?

ok, so I get nasty cold sores from time to time. Got a sunburn on my lips last weekend %26amp; now I'm paying for it. Have a Monster one on top that's going for biggest %26amp; most painful I've ever had %26amp; a slighly smaller one smack in middle of lower lip. My prescription pills only work at the first tingle if I take before the sore erupts %26amp; I missed my 2 minute time frame. I look like an ogre. Anybody have any useful tips/tricks that I haven't already tried??? P.S. I've tried every over the counter topical in my lifetime %26amp; they don't work.
Cold sore help?
Prevention mouth wash is the best product I've used for cold sores. It heals the area and keeps infection from spreading or getting worse. Gets rid of cold sores fairly quickly, a lot faster than most medicated creams. It's inexpensive too. You can get it at most major stores, Walmart, etc..

CARMEX works great and is cheap.
Reply:pop em n put salt n limon on it....n by the way thats nasty
Reply:try some chapstick... :/

blistex works real good. get the medicated green package one or the dark blue package one.
Reply:I hear blistex is pretty good... carmex always works for me... ugh, that really sucks though. Good luck with treating them!

鈾?br>Reply:Well, what I always do with any pustule is heat up a needle and pop the sucker. Getting all the pus out helps a lot.
Reply:sadly there is very little you can do. Keep aplying ointment to keep is from drying out.
Reply:Better see your Dr.-
Reply:Get Abreva. Apply as directed. This stuff really DOES WORK. It's expensive ... over $14 for a 'teeny, tiny' tube, but that tube will become your 'best friend' if you get cold sores.
Reply:abreva works great but ull have to pay almost $20 bucks for it, id use carmex, only .97 cents at walmart
Reply:When you go out in the sun make shure you wear chap stick

with sunblock in it. you can find it at wal mart. Now for cold sores in genral use blistex it works!
Reply:I have learned just through trial and error that if I drink too much juice (vitamin c??) that they dont heal as fast. Also I like Abrevia! My mama used to put a dab of rubbing alcohol on my lip.. Im not really sure how safe that is, but I still do it... and it seems to dry it up. My friend says a steeped and hot tea bag is relieving and softens it up so it heals less painful.
Reply:It burns like fire but i use alcohol rubbing kind and it dries it up faster plus kills germs
Reply:Not only can cold sores cause pain and discomfort for several days, they鈥檙e so noticeable, they can be embarrassing too. Although living with cold sores can be a hassle, treating them doesn鈥檛 have to be. Remember, they are caused by a virus and are considered a medical condition鈥攜our healthcare provider can help. Call them they will help and give you tips.
Reply:Doesn't Abreva 鈩?help?
Reply:Hi ogre, opps i mean catwoman ha ha ha. Only joking! Get a cold, used tea bag and press it against the sores, keeping it there for hours if you can ( you're in then eh ha ha ha ) and change the bag around when it becomes warm! Also try lavender oil! It really works! Gently rub a little bit of the oil into the sores and if it dries out, put some more on, its great stuff. Hope you return from ogre land very soon! Good luck.

I have mild acne and i'm going to exercise cuz sweating helps your acne?

but when i exercise i'm afraid i will get sunburn so it is ok to put on some sun screen when i'm exercising will it clog my pore when im sweating? or maybe some moisturizer with spf 15 will it clog my pore ? or should i put on no cream on my face when im exercising? should i first cleanse my face with a facial wash before going to exercise? or exercise without cleaning my face and without any cream on and go home afterward washing my face with a cleanser and putting on the cream such as moisturizer? Like when you sweat it actually opens up your pores to get rid of toxin, but even if you wear an oil-free sunscreen wouldn't the sunscreen go into your pore and clog it? i don't understand how it is oil-free when you put it on your face when the pore open it will go into the pore?
I have mild acne and i'm going to exercise cuz sweating helps your acne?
use aveno positively radiant daily moisturizer. It has SPF 15 and it doesn't clog your pores. %26amp; sweating doesn't help your acne it makes it worse. The sun clears up your acne. but not TOO much sun. surnburs=bad. healthy sun glow=tan%26amp;no acne
I have mild acne and i'm going to exercise cuz sweating helps your acne?
excercize doesnt help your acne sweating clogs up your pores even more
Reply:sweating makes it worse
Reply:that shouldn't make you stop exercising. there are solutions for acne, first of them is hygiene
Reply:Firstly, you're completely wrong. Sweating doesn't help acne more at all or in anyway. It makes the pores/acne even worse because when you sweat it contains bacteria and that's what causes acne..

What does a Tattoo Feel like????

I'm really serious about getting a tattoo, my friend got one and says it feels like a cat scratch, but others said it feels like an indian sunburn, so I don't know, but I know the pain varies where you get it, so what about on your low tummy close to your hip on the side???
What does a Tattoo Feel like????
It has a lot to do with where it is placed. If you get it in an area where there is more fat and muscle it doesn't hurt as much as it does on bone (like your ankle). It also depends on who does the tattoo. Some hurt worse than others, you may hear the term "heavy handed", the people who have that reputation usually go to deep or to hard. Over all I would compare the pain to a sweat bee. I have also heard it feels like ant bites. Hope this helps.
What does a Tattoo Feel like????
feels like you have a scar. i've had mine since i was 18 and i hate it.
Reply:one hurt like heck the whole time being done

other one barely hurt
Reply:When you get it it feels like you're being scratched really hard. Then feels like an indian sunburn while it's healing. After that you shouldn't feel it if it was done properly.
Reply:No idea and i never wanna get a tatoo.
Reply:never had one, but some ppl say it hurts others say it dont, i guess its youre pain tolerence
Reply:bee stings real fast is kinda how it feels and kinda a burn numb feel its not the worse pain in the world though.
Reply:A needle jammed into you many times, very fast!
Reply:I don't have one. But I hear it's really painful on the back, ankle and toe areas.
Reply:It only hurts if you're a weenie.
Reply:it only hurts while getting it, then it doesn't hurt after that
Reply:it feelslike you want to get rid of it.
Reply:terrible i heard it hurts for three days
Reply:people can say it doesn't hurt (they are liars who want to sound tough, in my opinion), and some parts of the body really don't hurt (others hurt really bad), but in general you should expect some pain and depending on the placement of said tattoo and length of sitting time it can get pretty painful, but it's also worth it. I sat 5 hours for the "soft" side of my forearm and the last half of that I was wincing and grimacing through the conversation. The other painful piece I had done was on my chest, and in particular near my nipple. good luck.
Reply:It fells like somebody heated up the tip of an icepick and stuck it in your skin and started to move the icepick around. After about 5 minutes the area starts to go numb, so it will be less painful. It mainly the outline of the tattoo you fell. The colouring is a breeze.
Reply:it herts alittle bit but that's ok be a little mazochic and you will enjoy the pain .a tattoo feels like an abnormal artistic stain in your body, a different pease of skin will make the difference i gess.i think you should try it ,just to avoide the routine and you have to change your look to get on well with your new tattoo.
Reply:I got mine right above my *****, it felt life hard scratching right near my bones. There no fat there to cushin the pain so that's where it hurt the most. Especially after her kept going over it with the differenet colors. But after a while your adrenaline kicks in %26amp; it just feels sore. When it is healing it feels like a rug/indian burn. Not that bad. .. but it really itches when it starts to peel, be sure not to scratch it though.... ok well good luck!!!.

p.s. make sure you research your tattoo artist %26amp; that you are completly satisfied with everything about the design. If there is something that you don't like, don';t be afraid nto speak up...

Irritated skin?

Lastnite my nose and the part of skin above my lips was very irritated...sore and red. and if I smiled it felt tight and ruff. Today It it now mainly the part above lips. PLEASE is there ANYTHING I can do about it???? I have my homecoming dance tonite!!!!!! I don't want my face to be red, and I wana be able to smile without my face feeling like its streching.

I tried that aloe stuff for sunburn , it didn't work. what do i do!?!?!?
Irritated skin?
sleep
Irritated skin?
try lipgloss and keep putting it on all day dont smile more then you need to till to night and drink tons of water
Reply:u could use something called vic's for nose and vaseline for lip problem or lip gloss galor.
Reply:try something cool - like a cool compress or even an ice cube though a little messy and then apply a little vaseline to the spot. this will soften it a little. It culd be several things happening. You could be getting a blemish or just the air drying you out but that should help a little
Reply:Doesn't this stuff always happen at times like Homecoming?

Vaseline makes creams that help with this without being oily. I would continuously throughout the day continuously apply cream to the area and put a small bottle of cream in your purse tonight--it would be best if you could find one without a scent and hypoallergenic.

Have fun!
Reply:get some milk from fridge put it on some gauze or flannel apply to the skin for 5 minutes milk has a anti inflammatory properties that will take the itch away or petroleum jelly

Checking to see what the doctor has prescribed, the chap was surprised that he had written down calamine lotion and viagra.

"that's odd", said the chap. "I can see the need for the calamine lotion, but why the viagra ?"

My skin hurts!?

I know, stupid thing but I can't see my shoulders up close. They feel like they are bruised. Is this just the skin tightening? Should I use cold or warm water? Any products anyone would recamend? I hate sunburn :( but it has never hurt like this. It is not blistering or shedding.
My skin hurts!?
Use cool water. Warm water makes it worse. Also get a aloe vera gel for sunburns and apply it to your sunburn. It will make it feel a lot better.

Hope you heal soon.
My skin hurts!?
cold water.pure aloe vera gel and then some vinegar

Help needed...c'mon i know you people know this.?

Ok so i have very white skin and i was out at the pool for four hours today and stupid blonde me didnt put sun block on and well i live in Arizona so..yeahhhhh..i got a Huge sunburn on my shoulders and back and a little on my cheeks.. well its terrible on my shoulders i can barely move them. Do you know anything that can get rid of the burning and redness. And OH how can i prevent it from peeling skin??
Help needed...c'mon i know you people know this.?
it's going to peel, you can't really do anything about it. use aloe vera and lotion to mosturize it. for some reason, when i got sunburned, i put ice on it and it made it better. also i heard taking advil helps.
Help needed...c'mon i know you people know this.?
white vinegar
Reply:ALOE! Banana Boat makes a lotion with Vitamin E and Aloe that is supposed to help you not peel. Next time remember the sun block!
Reply:aloe vera works well, it gives a cooling sensation. If blisters form, you might want to get checked out. As for peeling skin, possibly moisturizing.
Reply:I don't know about the peeling skin, but Aloe Vera lotion, cream, etc... is the best for sun burn redness and burning. Good Luck, I am fair skinned as well, and I KNOW that hurts!
Reply:aloa vera gel.
Reply:cactus plant (aloe vera)

witch hazel possibly.

ice..might help

and advil/tylenol
Reply:I don't know if the peeling can be stopped as you burned the skin. For the pain try Vinegar or Noxzema Cream.
Reply:Butter, good old landolakes, not margarine.
Reply:Doh! Well, the bad news is, it's going to peel. A sunburn is no different than, say, touching a hot iron briefly. It's a "superficial burn," meaning it only penetrates through the first layer of your skin.

But it's still a burn, and that skin is still dead. It'll have to peel away. You can keep aloe on it to help it feel better, and stay super hydrated. OTC pain killers will help with the pain. Once the redness and pain go away a bit, you can use a loofa or shower poof to GENTLY exfoliate the skin. But be very careful. That skin underneath is new and probably pretty unhappy with you already.

And FYI, May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month. If getting a totally painful sunburn doesn't make you more aware, I don't know what will! :) Good luck, get some SPF!
Reply:Regular Petroleum jelly."Vaseline".Use lots and apply in the morning, midday, and at night.Try it you will like it.Keep the area covered when you go outside.

If you usually tan without any types of lotion or anything, then will you get skin cancer?

Because I always tan without any creams or anything because I am just a kid. I'm only 12 but I never wear sunscreen because I want to get tan. And I never get a sunburn either. But I am still curious and although I might not because I'm young I still want to know what will happen. Like COULD skin cancer occur?
If you usually tan without any types of lotion or anything, then will you get skin cancer?
if you sunbathe without suncream over time it doesnt mean you automatically get skin cancer it just means you are at higher risk. suncream doesnt stop u getting a tan,, it stops the uv rays from harming you. you ca still get a tan with suncream
If you usually tan without any types of lotion or anything, then will you get skin cancer?
you can get skin cancer no matter what type of skin you have or how easily you tan. it doesn't have anything to do with getting sunburn. you can get it no matter what
Reply:Over-Exposure to UV rays, like those from the sun, could increase your chances of getting skin cancer. On the other hand, no exposure to the sun would be bad as well and reduce your body's ability to metabolize Vitamin D, and some other things you need.

Try to limit your exposure by using a good sun blocker while you're outside. The sun that does get through will be enough. Tanning is a uniquely human idea. If you're a vain person who *has* to live up to other people's standards of what you "should look like"...then tanning would seem important to you...I hope you are not one of those people.

Use sun block when outside now and avoid the added chances of getting skin cancer when you're older. People will like you no matter what shade your skin is.

My skin is horrible!!!Help!?

Okay so just recently my skin broke out really bad so I went to the doctor. He gave me stuff to try out (I forget what its called). The instructions were to put the stuff on after I wash my face with my face wash.I use Proactive. After a few days my acne was going away. Then I noticed my skin was dried out.I thought maybe it was that time of the year when skin gets dry.The next morning my face was swollen and peeling like a sunburn. The swelling is gone and my face is still a little dry.My acne is coming back. When should I start washing my face again and how often?
My skin is horrible!!!Help!?
If you're using a prescription topical, use a very gentle cleanser. Also, don't forget to moisturize. Stop the proactive for a while. Just a gentle, nonmedicated, milky cleanser, a moisturizer and the topical. That will probably calm your skin. If you're drying out and irritating your skin, it will continue to break out.
My skin is horrible!!!Help!?
Consult your doc...did you tell him you are using Proactive?

Maybe the stuff he gave you is not to be used with Proactive and thatz why this bad reaction happened...neways rather than making matters worse go to the doc.

GoodLuck!
Reply:maybe you were allergic to the "stuff" call and ask your docter about it
Reply:clean your face with moisturizer soap, pat dry, you can also make a solution with lemon as a astringent, that will make your face feel clean
Reply:Water, drink lots of water. It will cleanse toxins, which make you break out and keep your skin from drying out. Don't over wash your face, 2 maybe 3 times a day. Try pure aloe gel on your face it will help heal and moisturize your face.
Reply:I use Proactive too. After your skin gets used to it, it can take the scrubbing and doesn't get as red anymore. After the three step process, you have to use another moisturizer...one that isn't too heavy. Try Hope In A Jar.

But I noticed with Proactive, you can't stop using it....you will start to break out again. It's like heroin. :P
Reply:try asking your doctor for a pill called acutane you take it for a couple of months it may dry your face out at first but moisturizer will fix that but after a couple of months your acne will be gone forever..i swear it works
Reply:talk to your doctor. you might have had an allergic reaction to the stuff he gave you (make sure he knows EVERYTHING that you use for your face) and/or there might have been a chemical reaction.
Reply:You just induced a severe chemical burn with the products you used on your face.

What was the prescription - did it mention not to use it with products containing benzoyl peroxide, glycolic acid or other chemicals?

Proactiv contains benzoyl peroxide. It strips the skin just like a sunburn - causing the same damage to your skin as a sunburn.

Does your face wash also contain benzoyl peroxide?

Your acne will be worse than you ever imagined, because you have stripped your skin of the cells that usually fight bacteria, protect against UV rays and moisture loss.

Ask your mom to read the recommendation for this situation on my web site at: http://www.sunflowernaturals.com/acne.sh...

It's just a gentle oatmeal pack, but make sure your mom says it's okay before you try it. It would help relieve pain, help rebuild cells and feed your skin to help it get healthy again.

Hey, I'm sorry you had to suffer from this.

I need help?

well, i go swimming a lot.. and im VERY dark. so when i go swimming, what time would it be best to go swimming around?? and if i wear a long sleeved shirt on top, then do you think it would decrease the risk to get sunburned?
I need help?
they sell special shirts that have uv pretectant in them

http://www.coolibar.com/swimming-sun-pro...

You should always have sunscreen on spf15 of higher to protect your skin from the sun, no matter how dark or light your skin is. The worst time to be in the sun is between 10 am and 3pm that is when the rays are at there highest peek.
I need help?
Well, you can get sunburned through a shirt, so that won help much, and you should be safe without sunscreen after 4 pm
Reply:7-8 because the uv rays wont get to you when its dusk

What are some signs of skin cancer?

I keep getting sunburned.
What are some signs of skin cancer?
okay, first of all Please start putting on some sunblock when going outside Find out when the sun at the strongest point and avoid outside exposure at that time. Wear long sleeved loose fitting shirts when outside. But the best advice is to wear the sunscreen.

What are some signs of skin cancer?
The most common warning sign of skin cancer is a change in the appearance ofthe skin, such as a new growth or a sore that will not heal.

The term "skin cancer" refers to three different conditions. Fromthe least to the most dangerous, they are:

basal cell carcinoma (or basal cell carcinoma epithelioma)

squamous cell carcinoma

melanoma

The two most common forms of skin cancer are basal cell carcinoma andsquamous cell carcinoma. Together, these two are also referred to as nonmelanomaskin cancer. Melanoma is generally the most serious form of skin cancer becauseit tends to spread (metastasize) throughout the body quickly.

How does aloe vera work?

I have a really bad sunburn and I used aloe vera. I'm curious on what aloe vera really does. I know it forms a protective barrier which helps retain moisture and promotes healing but does it do anything else for a sun burn? possibly prevent peeling?
How does aloe vera work?
Aloe vera gel straight from the plant is used for sunburns, insect bites, minor cuts, it helps speed the healing process of your skins bobos, it soothes your bobos, it is good for mosquito bites and it helps heal and soothe your rashes.

Skin problem.?

As you can see I have dark skin, however I have never suffered from uneven skin pigmentation. The problem is I went to the beach this past weekend and I got really burnt. And now my skin is peeling, the first parts to start peeling became lighter (obviously since all the other skin was coming off and I'm going back to my natural skin tone) but todays when i was showering the peeling sort of developed and now most of my arm is peeling but even in the parts where I've already shed some sking you can see a patches of whiter skin.

I'm really worried cause I don't know if its just the sunburn and it will eventually look normal again or if I might have caught some type of fungus or skin problem thing.

Please help.
Skin problem.?
Consult a dermatologist..
Skin problem.?
Sounds like you got sunburned. The skin under the burn is lighter because it hasen't been tanned by the sun. It will probably darken as you expose it to the sun...but don't overdo it again! Use sunblock; I know we (if you are black) don't think that we need it, but we do.

What product works best for acne/pimples/zits that look like blisters?

My 15 year old brother has developed three dime size pimples on his nose that frighteningly look like blisters, one is so bad it looks like it sort of burst. He does not mess with them at all!! They are very frightening, and I'm afraid they may end up disfiguring his face. They've been around for a couple of weeks and don't look like they'll be leaving without an intervention. He uses maximum strengh clarasil wipes right now on his entire face, but there is absolutely no effect on his nose. What product can you all suggest that will take care of these horrible zits? (and please, it's not a result of sunburn,we are not having a sunny season where we live)

Thanks!
What product works best for acne/pimples/zits that look like blisters?
there is something at walmart it comes in a pack with the cleanser toner and repair lotion and its called Acne .. something i can't remeber i think acne free maybe?? but its like 20 dollars for the set. My sister got it and she has terrible acne on her chin and using it everyday there was HUGE results in close to a week and a half. i would really recommend this!!! i wish i could remeber exactly the name but i think acne free. its orange and white.
What product works best for acne/pimples/zits that look like blisters?
PROACTIVE!
Reply:sounds like impetigo to me...
Reply:cetaphil (i think thats how you spell it) but you can get it at costco for super cheap
Reply:This problem is not just skin deep but is a system wide issue - I would not be surprised if he also had them on his neck/shoulders/chest. If he can got to a dermatologist, Accutane is a powerful medicine for the sort of "cystic" acne - it dries out every pore in your body and can sometimes actually "cure" the acne. I recommend going to a doctor rather than try over the counter for this serious and really painful and scarring disease.

The same thing is happening to my middle toe. It is the strangest thing! When the toe brushes against the bed or the sofa it's excrusiating burning feeling
Burning sensation on skin when touched....?
I'm not really sure but maybe fibromyalgia. I would def. go see your doctor about it. Good Luck!

Pain is the most prominent symptom of fibromyalgia. It usually involves "tender points" on the body where pain seems the greatest. Here is a link to the points and the top of the **** and the back of the thighs are 2 of the points. http://www.arthritis.org/conditions/Dise...

Remix? Help....?

Does anyone know of any mixes (preferably drum%26amp;bass like) of the song "Sunburn" by Muse? I?

I heard this remix around a few years ago and have it on a tape somewhere which does me no good. The closest thing I've found is the Timo Maas mix, but that is definitely much different. Anybody??
Remix? Help....?
There are the mixes of Sunburn done by Armin Van Buuren and Atb too.

I SKIPPED SCHOOL TODAY BUT lM REALLY WORRIED??????

I skipped school today and walked to the local mall it was a 2 hour walk. I got there and ate lunch. Another 2 hours to come back home.

I hung outside for 1 hour and a half for school to end then went back to school.

When i got home i had a MAJOR sunburn on my face.

I was outside for 5 hours and a half in the 100 degree texas weather.

how do i get rid of the sun burn????

how bad does peeling look like???
I SKIPPED SCHOOL TODAY BUT lM REALLY WORRIED??????
I guess there's a cheesy moral like "value your education" behind this, but think of it this way: you need to go to school, because only an idiot would go out in the sun in hundred degree weather for five hours without protection from the sun (and I'm presuming this because you probably wouldn't have gotten the sunburn if you had gotten in the shade at least). Ah, sweet irony.
I SKIPPED SCHOOL TODAY BUT lM REALLY WORRIED??????
dont worry mate just think of those innocent Iraqi's who have no education and are being killed by your government for OIL.
Reply:ohh your guna get in trouuble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You shouldnt of skipped school.I did it once and got detention for three weeks!!!!
Reply:Peeling is fun...you get to shed off skin...and peel it...I love peeling my skin. Sometimes I burn just to peel.
Reply:Aloe Vera works great for sun burn. You can get it at wal-mart or any other drug store.
Reply:why would you skip school?-sounds like you're lazy
Reply:at first sunburns dont hurt. after a few hours it will. you have litterally burnt and killed a layer of your upper layer of skin called the epidermis. this will peel and make way for new cells from your lower layer called the dermis. the severity of peeling will depend on how bad the burn is. use lotions with aloe vera and keep it moisturized might help. also UV rays can penetrate cloud cover so even if its cloudy outside use sun screen.
Reply:aloe vera works..if you go to the store there are alot of products that help sun burn. Just wash your face with cool water before and put the aloe vera on and within i would say a week it should go away. If you use the aloe vera it shouldn't peel as bad.
Reply:unfotunatly you cannot get rid of sunburn by doing something. its goes away with time. also not all people peel but if you do there again is not much you can do . you can apply moisterizer made for your face and that will minimize the appearance of it peeling. Also when you get outta the shower take a wash cloth and scrub your face . it will take off all the dead skin cells. If it bothers you that much and you have extra cash you can visit a dermatologists office and get a microderm abbraision which takes off the top layers of the epedermis.

Brother burned playing with fire?

My brother and his friend were messing around with AXE body spray and fire and in the process my brother got minor burns on his legs and one on his foot that look like minor 1st degree burns from the pictures i have seen on the web. Some of his hair was burned off in the process but only on the back of the leg. To avoid getting in trouble he shaved his legs and just told my parents he lost a bet with the friend who was with him. He immediately ran to his shower turned it on the coldest temperature and soaked it for about 10 minutes. I then gave him solar cain and he shaved his legs. There is a burn on the back of his leg that has bumps and is a little red like a sunburn and his foot has the same thing but a little more red and it hurts more. I am asking this because he plays football and i was wondering if it is ok for him to put on shoes on the burn and if it will get infected. What should we do (btw i had nothing to do with it and we would rather no t mention this to my mom)
Brother burned playing with fire?
The little bumps indicate a 2nd degree burn. He should be ok to wear shoes, as long as he keeps the affected areas clean. This means that right after his practices and games, he needs to clean the burns thoroughly. Just an fyi, your first aid was right on the mark! Good job!
Brother burned playing with fire?
He needs to have the burn evaluated by a doctor, who can give him burn cream to ward off infection. He definitely needs to keep it clean.
Reply:i believe that those 'little bumps' are going to be 'little blisters'.

Minor Burn Injury

1. Soak the burn in cool water for 15 minutes.

2. Apply cool cloth to the burn for a few minutes each day.

3. Apply BurnRx (see below) to the burn and cover it with a dressing or bandage.

4. Re-apply burn with BurnRx to promote healing.

5. Apply topical antibiotic to the burn to prevent infection if necessary.

6. If necessary, take over-the-counter pain medication to control pain.

7. If burn pain, redness, swelling persists or if there are signs of infection see a physician.

Cool The Burn:

Use lots of COOL water. Be creative. You can use wet towels - this works well for cooling areas that cannot be immersed in a tub. (Be sure youre-wet the towels often as they will get warm.) Garden hoses, bathtubs, rivers, streams, whatever you can get to.

A word of caution: DO NOT USE ICE OR ICE WATER ON ANYTHING OTHER THAN A MINOR BURN! It will cause body heat loss.

3. Cover The Burn

It seems like the last thing you would want to do if you have just burned yourself, but it works. It will keep air from entering the wound; this will help to alleviate the pain and prevent infection.

Use a dry sterile dressing or a clean cloth and loosely bandage in place.

** DO-NOTS

- Do not apply ice to a burn unless it is VERY minor.

- Do not touch the burn with anything other than a dressing.

- DO NOT BREAK BLISTERS!

anywho. an answer to your question. he can wear shoes if he wants- but make sure you help him wrap up his foot with sterile gauze/dressings- use an ankle wrap bandage or whatever to keep it all in place- but dont make any of these dressings too tight. snug is ok. not tight.

What were the name of these sunglasses called???

These sunglasses were popular in the mid-eighties. The had little leather or cloth "visors'' that were attached on the sides to keep the sun from peeking in on the side when you were wearing them. Some also had an attachment to clip on at the nose to protect it from sunburn. I remember seeing them used a lot with artic explorers and alpine skiiers.

Joke,husband n wife,must read,courtesy yahoo groups?

TO MY DEAR WIFE:

During the past year I have tried to make love to you 365 times.

I have succeeded 36 times, which is an average of once every ten days.

The following is a list of why I did not succeed more often:

54 times the sheets were clean

17 times it was too late

49 times you were too tired

20 times it was too hot

15 times you pretended to be sleep

22 times you had a headache

17 times you were afraid of waking the baby

16 times you said you were too sore

12 times it was the wrong time of the month

19 times you had to get up early

9 times you said weren't in the mood

7 times you were sunburned

6 times you were watching the late show

5 times you didn't want to mess up your new hairdo

3 times you said the neighbors would hear us

9 times you said your mother would hear us

Of the 36 times I did succeed, the activity was not satisfactory because:

6 times you just laid there

8 times you reminded me there's a crack in the ceiling

4 times you told me to hurry up and get it over with

7 times I had to wake you and tell you I finished

1 time I was afraid I had hurt you because I felt you move

======================================...

TO MY DEAR HUSBAND:

I think you have things a little confused. Here are the reasons you didn't get more than you did:

5 times you came home drunk and tried to screw the cat

36 times you did not come home at all

21 times you didn't come with energy

33 times you came too soon

19 times you went soft before you got in

38 times you worked too late

10 times you got cramps in your toes

29 times you had to get up early to play golf

2 times you were in a fight and someone kicked you in the balls

4 times you got it stuck in your zipper

3 times you had a cold and your nose was running

2 times you had a splinter in your finger

20 times you lost the motion after thinking about it all day

6 times you came in your pajamas while reading a dirty book

98 times you were too busy watching TV

Of the times we did get together:

The reason I laid still was because you missed and were screwing the sheets.

I wasn't talking about the crack in the ceiling, what I said was, "Would you prefer me on my back or kneeling?"

The time you felt me move was because you farted and I was trying to breathe.

I went on a 12 mile hike yesterday now I'm in pain any suggestions?

I hiked to the top of a very tall mountain yesterday 12 mile round trip 11,750 feet is the elevation that I hiked to. Might I add it's hard to breathe up there but well worth it. Anyway. Today I am sunburned and my muscles ache really bad. Any suggestions?
I went on a 12 mile hike yesterday now I'm in pain any suggestions?
Aloe vera gel for the sunburn (a green gel you can find in drugstores and most food markets). Advil (or any other painkiller/ anti-inflammatory) for your muscles.

Relax; since you don't do this everyday, your muscles aren't used to it. They need recovery time, so give yourself a few days without strenuous exercise. Stretch often so they won't seize up. Take a cold shower. I always take a cold shower after a longer-than-usual run, and this seems to help with soreness. Good luck!
I went on a 12 mile hike yesterday now I'm in pain any suggestions?
drink water, stretch and relax
Reply:Ibuprofen is an anti inflammatory, so it might help with the muscle aches. Aloe Vera, Noxzema (I know it sounds weird, but it's a nice, cool feeling) or vinegar may help with the sunburn.
Reply:Gosh I know how you feel. I took a 3 hour ballet class two days ago and I can't move still. I've been stretching and massaging my muscles. Each day gets a little better.

Next time be sure to warm up. It'll help avoid the pain later on.
Reply:Dig a hole 11,750 feet deep to even everything out.....
Reply:A5-35 or Neo-flex
Reply:Take a hot bath and a long nap
Reply:HOT bath with epsom salts, thermogesic gel, and ibuprofin. Guarantee you'll feel better by morning!

My husband was in the marine corps and a 16 mile hike in full uniform carrying over 100 lbs of equipment was commonplace. So, I know from experience what will help. Good luck!

Follow-up: Forgot about the sunburn: Milk helps with a sunburn better than almost anything.
Reply:I would suggest rest ice and elevation for a couple of days when it is possible. When the pain has subsided a bit, I would encourage as much massage of the muscles as you can tolerate so that they will relax.

Remember work TO the pain, not THROUGH the pain. Work until pain comes and then quit. The second will cause more injury and delay recovery.

Spray-On-Tans?

I'm a 17 year old male....

Ok, so i have really light skin (pale) and i can't get a natural tan because i will get sunburn

so, i'm considering in SPRAY-ON-TANS...

but, what do i do with it? I mean, do i NEED TO GO TO THE TANNING SALON FIRST and THEN APPLY THE TAN-ON-SPRAY, or CAN I JUST BUY THE SPRAY, AND SPRAY IT ONTO MY PALE SKIN??Also, which spray-on-tan is the BEST AND LOOKS THE MOST NATURAL for pale skin??

Remember, i just want a LIGHT tan, nothing serious

The person who answers ALL my questions will get BEST ANSWER, thanks
Spray-On-Tans?
You can either go to the tanning salon and get it sprayed on for you, or you can buy a can of the spray and spray it on yourself. Either or both, actually. I have pale skin and I have had some luck with Neutrogena micromist, but I prefer lotions because they deliver a more natural, non-orange look. Unfortunately most self-tanners aren't even for pale people, and I usually turn a sick shade of orange or yellow. I've heard some good things about L'Oreal Sublime Glow spray from friends with naturally pale skin, try that one.
Spray-On-Tans?
try the jergens natural tanning lotion.
Reply:Okay, I'm so pale that one time a neighbor said she could see my white legs glow in the dark at night when I walked the dog. First, the salons that offer the spray on's are of the best quality, more coverage, totally nude or suit, they spray, then wipe you down. You can buy the spray, I've done it, but you have to do it in the tub and you almost always have to redo in a few hours to fill in areas you missed. It's okay, but make sure you get the right color. What I've found works the best and has the most natural color for really pale skin is the Tan Towel. I got mine from QVC or HSN, not sure. They don't last as long as spray on, and can by drying so you need to moisturize, however it's much less messy, you know exactly what coverage you are getting and if you do it twice in one night you get a good, non-orange color. Just watch your knees, ankles, toes, elbows with any of the products. After you apply over these areas, lightly wipe with a dry tissue to get anythat sinks in the skin creases. Also, shave or wax before you apply.
Reply:if you go to a salon that uses actual mystic products, they should have three levels of the mystic: light, medium, and dark. so you could do the lightest level and it wouldn't be too drastic.

also, you would go to the salon, they would talk you through the mystic, and most likely, you would go into the booth by yourself and just press a button and it will spray all over your body.

i love the mystic and i do it weekly...and no one has ever said it looked fake. they always comment on how real it looks. so make sure the salon uses mystic products and it is NOT an airbrush tan! good luck!

HELP! wierd rash on face!!!?

i developed a rash today, around 2pm, there is a little on my ear, and some on my cheeks and chin. im 13 years old, and had a bad case of poison oak and since then i have eliminated all of my clothes and bought new ones when the rash dissapated. i took all the measures, i doubt it is rosacea, or another case of poison oak, unless you mysteriously get it back every year, at the exactly the same time.

the average temperature here in oregon is 89 degrees Farenheight. (sp) the temperature last week was in the 50s and 60s. so could it be heat rash? i need HELP!

i did try some of that new aveeno active naturals continuous protection sunblock stuff, 2 days ago, but my dad says that may just be a coincidince.

today i used some standard kids sunblock, but ive been using that since forever. but i put that on my arms and legs and forehead too. i do have a sunburn on my left cheek bone, if that helps at all.

what do you think?

Should I shave my chest hair?

I know I know, I've seen the Seinfeld episode, it'll grow back worse they say, like sasquatch worse. But those of you following my questions as of late know that Im in some kind of wierd 'no hair' thing. Having already polished off the groin area, and shave my head bald too this past weekend again( I did it awhile back) , but now my chest hair, what little is there is irritating me. I'm not going Bob Gildolf on you, I still intend to keep a fairly sophisticated gotee and my eyebrows and the arm/leg hairs. My guess is that, maybe it will scratch the female ladies who intend to body surf on my upper extremeties, maybe it will itch. Maybe it won't grow back, maybe I'll get a sunburn. Maybe a rash. Thats my worries, but if YOU say it's okay...they'll be a razor sound far off in the distance to tonights moon light.
Should I shave my chest hair?
Shaving doens't last long enough.. if you gonna take it off do it right.. WAX IT!

For him it doesn't grow back too much, but he's a LIGHT blonde. The hair just bothers him alot.

Just shave it, and see if you like it.

TSS? -- help!?

I'm 17 and I just finished my period. Today, I just noticed that my arms and legs were red, almost like a mild sunburn; keep in mind that I have very fair skin and my face is usually blushed, so maybe my skin is just sensitive? I've also had some pressure on the sides of my head, but I've had this before -- due to a misaligned neck. I don't have a fever or anything like that, so do you think it's at all possible that I have TSS or am I just worrying too much?
TSS? -- help!?
I'd go to a doctor, just to be safe.

SUN MARKS and WEDDING DRESS!!!?

Ok two weeks ago I went tubing and I forgot to put sunscreen on my chest (blah me...) of course I got bad sunburn, all the pain and peeling and stuff, now it's healing, but still pink with two white bikini strap marks on my chest (I was pretty pale). The worst part is, I'm getting married on June 30th and my wedding dress is strapless (I know, blah me again). So any idea how I can remove/cover up the ugly sun mark??? any medical cream is probably not going to do the trick in such short period of time, so more likely anything to cover it up? I dont think regular foundation's gonna work and it's gonna stain my wedding dress anyways...so please help me......T_T
SUN MARKS and WEDDING DRESS!!!?
try using a lotion that tans your skin to even out the lines.

Or maybe even getting a spray tan.
SUN MARKS and WEDDING DRESS!!!?
I think it would heal by June 30th but i would put sunscreen on each time you go out so it doesn't get any more damage. I would try the Dove tanning lotion that you put on every day. I have used it and it will give you a nice glo, it also smells much better than any other sunless tanning lotion. At least out of the few i have tried.

My face was really dry when i woke up this morning...any tips on what i should do?it is like almost peeling...
If this is a lot worse than your usual dry skin, I would definitely avoid any exfoliants or scrub stuff. Some of the other answers on this question worried me, so I thought I would respond.

Does it look infected? If this is WAY worse than usual, you could possibly have an infection. Is it painful? Is it extremely red?

I would use antibiotic ointment and not wash your face for a few days. If it gets worse, see a doctor.
My face was really dry when i woke up this morning...any tips on what i should do?it is like almost peeling...
Olive oil is a really good moisturizer.

Makes my face really smooth. I 鈾?it.
Reply:You need to exfoliate to remove all that dead skin (you may even try a sugar scrub) then make sure to put lots of moisturizer on after.
Reply:same thing happens to me sometimes. i usually just put a teeny bit of lotion right on the spot that usually gets dry every night before i go to bed. then when i wake up in the morning i put lotion on it too, and eventually it goes away.
Reply:Dry skin is very common, especially when the weather gets colder. Apply moisturizer every day. Remove makeup before going to bed at night. Avoid the use of harsh soaps.
Reply:You may need to invest in a good quality moisturizer.

May I suggest:

Clinquie "Dramatically Different Moisturizing lotion" (that is it's name). I use it and it rocks.. It sounds like you have a very dry complexion.. ask to have the lotion that is used for very dry skin.
Reply:My skin does this in cold weather too. Lots of lotion! Dont use make up that dries out your skin either, if you use regular foundation or powder, switch to a moisture-rich one or a tinted moisturizer. Make sure you arent using a harsh facial cleanser that will strip your face of the moisture it needs.
Reply:A good moisturiser will help morning and night also make sure you are drinking enough water believe it or not the skin actually gets dehydrated.
Reply:Put on Vaseline or face lotion it will help peel faster or aloe vera really works

Any immediate relief for severe itching?

Ok, my fiance is itching really bad. He had gotten a sunburn 2 days ago on his back and upper arms and today he just all of a sudden started to itch. We was thinking that it would go away, but it proggressed and now, it's late and it is keeping him from going to sleep. He is in the tub right now, it seems to be the only thing that is helping right now. But he really needs to go to work tomorrow, and sleeping in the tub is not an option. We have put aloe, lotion, and other home remedies on him, but it just seems to not work. Is there anything else we can do to help it stop? Thanks.
Any immediate relief for severe itching?
I would suggest an oral antihistamine, such as diphenhydramine (Benadryl), to alleviate itching. Be advised that it may make him a bit drowsy as well, which may help him sleep, but it can also cause "hang-over" effects or morning drowsiness (be careful when driving to work). If he has pain associated with the sunburn, I suggest an oral analgesic, preferably a NSAID, such as ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen (Aleve)--best taken w/ some food to avoid stomach upset.
Any immediate relief for severe itching?
Aveeno, calamine lotion, hydrocortisone, topical benadryl, maybe oral benadryl.
Reply:For immediate relief of generalized itching, 50 mg benadryl or diphenhydramine may relieve his symptoms. However, benadryl can cause drowsiness. So during the day, steroids may be used for long time relief. Since it is such a large surface, he may need a short 4 day course of oral steroids if the itching is not resolved by benadryl.

Another thing, keeping the skin cool may relieve symptoms for a short period of time. Have stay away from hot or even warm showers because heat can cause an increase of histamine release to cause more itching. (Histamine is chemical released by particular cells in the skin that causes the itchy sensation. )
Reply:BENADRYL CAN GET AT ANY DRUGSTORE OVER TEH COUNTER

Anyone have a once & for all bacne solution?

I'm a 19 yr old girl, and ever since I was 16 I've had acne on my back.

It's soooo annoying .. %26amp; it prevents me from wearing certain clothes, etc.

It's as if the skin on my back is the same as the skin on my face .... except I can't reach it easily and it's harder to keep clean. The products I use on my face don't work on my back.

It's not all red %26amp; inflamed %26amp; horrible, but it's still there ....... and it never goes away ....... unless I get a nasty sunburn, which fades into a tan, and then it dries that **** up.

anyone know any EFFECTIVE products ?? :/
Anyone have a once %26amp; for all bacne solution?
My daughter is now 20 %26amp; had back acne as you describe.

There are two medications that she uses that are effective in clearing up her back.

One is a topical anti-biotic called Clindamycin.

The other is a topical anti-inflammatory steroid called Clobetasol.

Both are prescription medications that we obtained from a Dermatologist.

Maybe these will work for you, also.

Other things we did:

Use a gentle soap to clean your back. Do not use one that strips all the oil off.

Then, If you are treating a large acne lesions, put Clindamycin on a bandaid and apply not-to-tightly to the skin (leave a little space between band-aid and skin) over each lesion. Then apply Clindamycin sparingly to all other acne areas. The key is to do this every morning and evening (twice a day). It's a pain in the neck, and hopefully you have a family member or friend that will help you with the application (buy disposable plastic gloves for them...that's what I used with my daughter, because I am not immune to acne). It is a routine you have to keep up for months.

If your back starts itching badly, take off the bandaids %26amp; apply Clobetasol sparingly. It acts to calm inflamed skin and will also stop the itch, according to my daughter.

Your dermatologist may have different instructions for you; if so, follow her directions.

And most importantly, don't scratch or pick off scabs. Keep either Clindamycin or Clobetasol (on bandaids) on any larger lesions that itch... or bother you because they are drying out.

My daughter's back was almost entirely clear of active acne, then she scratched a few scabs off, they bled, and the scratching spread the acne bacteria into the surrounding skin and that area re-erupted with a couple of pimples again.

The goal is to keep your skin from getting reinfected by acne bacteria, which likes to multiply and spread,

until you finally kill off all the acne bacteria.on your back.

My daughter still has acne scars. They have faded, and I wonder if they will eventually all fade away or not..

I also installed a chlorine filter on the shower head (we use one we got on-line called April Select Shower filter with refillable filter cartridge (again, expensive for a teen, about $38 for the 1st filter/housing and $18 for disposable cartridge refill which lasts about 6 months). It's not a "treatment" for acne, but it just made sense to me to get one, because I suspected the chlorine in our water was drying out and irritating the skin on her back too much, making her itch and spread the bacteria. I was also being bothered by the drying effect of chlorine on my skin, also.
Anyone have a once %26amp; for all bacne solution?
Tanning salon. Tanning dries out the outer layer of skin, preventing acne.

Vacation with Friends...?

I want to go to New Jersey with my friend and her family, but my parents are saying no. I used to behave very badly and do things I shouldn't have done, but I have shown extreme amounts of responsibility in the past few months. Now their excuse to not let me go is because my younger sister went away for the weekend and came home with a bad sunburn, and they will not allow their children to be neglected by other people. I'm almost 17 years old, though. Does anyone have any advice? The vacation is in a week and I'm running out of ideas!
Vacation with Friends...?
you are their child and you are their responcibility.

maybe there is another reason why they dont want you to go. what about finances. its impolite to send your kid on a vacation without funds

just try to talk things out and ask them if there is a specific reason why they dont want you to go with your friend and her family. maybe your parents dont like your friend or something.
Vacation with Friends...?
Sorry , be on your best behavior and pray your parents

will change their minds,, good luck

Spray tanning...? I need a good brand that doesn't turn you orange or smell bad!?

Hey everyone. Well I'm really bad at tanning outside, like all I really get is a sunburn. It kinda runs in my family because I'm mostly Czech and Irish I think and soo yeah, we don't get a good tan very easily. Lol. And besides, I don't want to tan all day outside because I don't want skin cancer! So I want to get a good brand of spray tan in a can that doesn't turn me all orange or smell bad. And isn't too expensive. Please help!! Thanks.

Self Tanners -L'Oreal - Sublime Bronze Dejah on 6/29/2007 3:47:00 AM

I have tried alot of sunless tanners. I am VERY pale and need alittle color in the summer. L'Oreal Sublime Bronze (tinted) tanning lotion (that's really more like a light gel) works wonderfully. It gives an instant glow that is not too shimmery. The color developes quick and if applied properly does not streak. People always think that I've been to a tanning bed. If that tells you anything about the color. The price is good , but over all I think worth it considering that I get a pretty glow and get rid of my Casper complexion for awhile.

Very good :)

Tip:

Use a loofah sponge before using tanning lotion,it will help exfoliate. :)

Have a gr8 day!
Spray tanning...? I need a good brand that doesn't turn you orange or smell bad!?
yeah. netragena is good. but all tanningg stuff turns you orange. and one huge tip is DONT GO SPRAY/MYSTIC TANNING. its a disasterrrr
Reply:Don't have a direct answer for you. However, you are concerned about cancer from the sun, yet you want to subject yourself to what amounts to a chemical burn. Just a thought!!!!
Reply:This summer Victoria's Secret has an alliance with Model Co. and they're letting us sell their new Spray Tan line. The first item they have is a Spray Tan that lasts 2-2 1/2 weeks and it has a Tan remover that you can buy to go along with it. You use it in the shower, just like a shower gel, but it's got little scrubbers in it that remove the tan. The second one they have is a bronzer, granted it only lasts a day, it looks very nice and gives off a little bit of shimmer...(NOT glitter...you don't want to look like a 12 year old)*

A foot note on both of these products: they should ALWAYS be shaken up before you use them, and when you spray them, make sure you stand at least a foot away, so that you don't get blotches that look green or orange...yuck!

Both of these products are very nice items to have this summer, and are probably the safest way to go....But above all they both smell great!

Good luck
Reply:look if you can do the mistic tan do that 3 times in 2 weeks and that will last about a month at your tanning salon but jergins tanning lotion takes bout a week and it does not turn you orange that is what worked for me you have to apply about 2 times a day
Reply:Not sure what Smells good to you, but the Jergens Natural Glow Lotion smells descent and works well. Apply it almost every day perhaps after a shower. You just have to make sure to rub it in good so it doesnt look streaky ( that doesnt usually happen unless you pile it on tho... lol i was desperate for a tan once and just gobbed it on hahah don't do that )

Good Luck Hope it works for you if you try it.
Reply:It probably will turn you orange because you lack the yellow undertone that most people have. They'll all smell a bit rusty because of the dihydroxyacetone, or DHA, in them. It's a carbohydrate, and the process of "tanning" is no different than when you cut an apple open and leave it exposed to air. It turns brown, and that's why (the proper term's the Maillard effect.)

These tanners work better on people who are already a light-medium tone or darker anyway. My mother is full Irish, and lacks that yellow undertone. She always turns orange when she uses any self-tanner. As for me, my father was full Native American, so I have a light olive complexion. They work fine for me with no orange appearance.

As for the moron who said it amounts to a chemical burn, that's a load of crap. Read what I said above, and crack a science book for once in your sorry life.
Reply:Dove's tanning lotion works good. But if you want to get a spray tan that works AMAZING go to Sephora, they only have one kind, it comes in a bottle that you can refill and that you could also decipher which amount you want, so if u want a natural glow, no prob it works, doesn't make u orange either. Good LUCK!!!

Tanning oil...?

Ok well i have been using tanning lotion, and i am getting tired of applying it everynight, and if i don't, i get blotchy tan the next day. I was wondering there was some type of oil that you can put on and go sit out in the sun that makes you get a tan but NO sunburn. I never tan first, i always turn red like a tomato and then tan. What can i use to get a tan?
Tanning oil...?
I tan outside for 1 hour (no longer) with tanning bed lotion. I am very fair and burn like you first then tan but this works for me (no burn first) I apply a rich lotion after (oil of olay quench) I shower before I go to bed. Hydrated skin stays tan much longer then dry skin too!

Hope this helps
Tanning oil...?
Talk to your doctor or go to a tanning salon
Reply:use a tanning lotion w/ a low spf
Reply:I would suggest you read something about melanoma first. I prefer to put on sunscreen and just get out more often...higher SPF (at least 30).
Reply:I always turn red like a tomatoe when I go outside, but I used this banana boat tanning oil with spf 8 and it made me real tan. I was out side laying for an hour or less but I was swimming also. I went from being pale to a medium-ish skin tone and no sun burn. It worked great!
Reply:Just don't tan. Skin cancer isn't just found on old people. Teens and even children are found to have skin cancer. If you going out ALWAYS wear spf 30. you should also wear a mousturizer with SPF.

If you want to look tan, get a spray tan, or use a gradual tanning lotion. they work really well. I recommened Bronze Bombshell Glow and Steady from bath and body works. put it on your face everyother day.

Even if you put a high SPF multiple times a day, you will still probably get tan. and tanning only gets you leathery skin later in life. UMMM...EWWWW. just slap on som SPF please!

How can you get a redness tint out of your face?

it seems when i am natural (without makeup) i have a redness tint and its not because of a sunburn

HELPP!!
How can you get a redness tint out of your face?
Are you a native american?
How can you get a redness tint out of your face?
I have that too. Just wear a makeup that has a yellow tint and not red tint. It is perfectly normal.
Reply:either go to a dermatogolist, or get a lotion or makeup that hides or fixes it. I'm sure its not that serious unless its abnormally red.
Reply:I have the same "problem", use a concealer or moistureizer that has a green color to it. ( Avon has a new daily moisturizer just for this problem.) the green cancells out the green and makes your face look smoother.
Reply:They have face powder in a light green which cuts red. My sister and I both use it and it really works.

Also if you wear foundation you should put the powder on before the foundation for a smooth finish and shine control
Reply:Go to a dermatologist and get it checked out they should be able to help you. It could be because your either way to hot or way to cold also. But i still think you should go to a dermatologist
Reply:I have the same problem. Do what the people above me said with the makeup tips, but I have also found there are other things you can do to help.

For starters, although I love the color pink and red I try to avoid wearing them as my tops because it just brings out the pink in my face.

Also, I went to the salon to get the red tones out of my hair because that also brought out the red in my face.
Reply:It sounds like you might have rosacea. It's a skin disorder that mostly affects people with fair skin who blush easily. A dermatologist can give you a lotion or gel that helps with the redness - tetracycline helps, too. You should stay away from spicy foods, vigorous exercise and the sun - anything that makes your blood vessels dilate will make the condition worse. What works the best for me is mineral makeup. Bare Escentuals is the brand I use but there are other brands on the market, too. It's very lightweight, doesn't rub off and is put on with a brush - it's a powder. It completely covers the red.

How can i make the skin in my face to peel off?

hmm i got a sunburn.. i want to peel my skin off... how can i do it?

sorry for my bad english!!
How can i make the skin in my face to peel off?
It will start peeling itself in a few days. If you peel it now yourself, you'll be RAW. Just put aloe vera gel on it and it will help with the redness and itching.
How can i make the skin in my face to peel off?
put lots of moisturizer...do not peel it yourself or it might scar.
Reply:wait until it does it itself or next time you sunning use baby oil lol

I need advice for an ill piglette, 4 weeks old with a major case of the poops..?

we just got a 4 week old piglette. she took heself off the bottle/formula about 3 to 4 days ago...she is eating pellet food and drinking water....we did catch her eating dog and cat food so we put them up and she is still having the problem. she shivers alot and seems to have sunburn on her head, ears and back....what can i do to help her problems and does anyone know what it can be from? any information will be greatly appreciated...she is NOT a potbelly she is a regular feeder pig like for 4-H being kept as a pet. thanks for your time in advance.....
I need advice for an ill piglette, 4 weeks old with a major case of the poops..?
There are many causes of diarrhea in pigs, especially baby pigs. Some require antibiotics, and some just time. The most important thing to do for your piglette is to make sure she is getting enough to drink - make sure she has plenty of water. Babies of all types can get very sick very quickly when they have diarrhea. You may need to contact your veterinarian soon if your little one doesn't get any better, if she seems to be acting very tired, or if there is any blood in the diarrhea. As to the shivering and the 'sunburn' - it could be signs of a fever (although pigs can get sunburned just like us if we stay out in the sun too long). Good luck with the little girl!

Is this the worst excuse for being off school ever ?

I did not got to this school much, as I did not like it, the "excuse" was I was being bulled %26amp; was too scared to go to the school, which was a bad thing for me too.

The school %26amp; Norfolk County Council, said it was the worst excuse %26amp; no one is ever bulled at all, just a work of fiction, lies.

Me staying away from school was very good for the school, they did not have to deal with the problem %26amp; they did not care, they still got the money form the Council.

Rug burn on nose, and no skin on it, exposed to sun?

i fell and the skin was scratched off. after that there is only pink left. i went camping, so i was exposed to a lot of sun. now i got sunburn on my nose. i think that its not good and around the small pink circle its darker skin. did i damage it? what should i do? can i get rid of scaring from it by seeing a skin specialist?

i really don't want any scars on my face, arrg there goes my shot at being an underwear model.
Rug burn on nose, and no skin on it, exposed to sun?
well thats only natural thats what they call healing process, the skin when scratched, a scab forms.. you said there was only the pink left, i guess u have scratched it badly.. and the fact that it was exposed, that would really leave a black pigment on ur nose.. but dont ever ever pick on it.. coz that would only further the damage.. and as time passes it will fade. but theres nothing wrong in seeing a skin specialist..

What the...?

when i went to camp in early july i got a really really bad sunburn (its in the shape of a tank top) and its gone but the tan is there! how do i get rid of it because i have to go to a party and wear a tube top dress tomorrow! help!!
What the...?
Use bronzer to fill in the non-tan parts =) It will work.
What the...?
buy a ten spray and spray that part and your done
Reply:nothing is going to get rid of it by tomorrow, you can try using a self tanner to even it out, but nothing is going to help before tomorrow
Reply:yay for fake tanning lotion.! put it on just where you need to get dark. the color of the fake tan and the real tan probably won't match perfectly, so mix equal parts bronzer (grocery stores) with regular lotion (because bronzers tend to be way to dark on their own) and slather over yourself. this should help blend everything together for the day.

also, you may want to hit up a tanning bed... slather 45 spf sunscreen on the parts of you that are already tan, and just get the white parts darker. I do this all the time after i get weird tan lines.

Removal of sun(liver)spots.?

I am 28 yrs old and have fair skin. I have never been one for tanning in my younger years %26amp; have never gotten sunburned. Everyday I use SPF 15, I wear a hat when going out %26amp; in general I avoid the sun like the plague. At a very young age I have been anti-age obsessed, unline the other girls my age who would tan. So you can imagine my shock when on my left cheek I developed a SUN SPOT! First, I can't imagine how since as I said I take so many precautions. And 2nd, I want to get rid of it. I went to a dermatologist who confirmed it was a sun spot. She put me on Tretioin 0.25% cream. However, creams like Retin-A, hyrdroquinone tend to scare me.For one, I really don't want chemicals on my face. Hydroquinone has cancer causing properties and is banned for use in Eurpoe. And Retin-A may actually WORSEN hyperpigmentation on spots and can reoccur once you stop using it.

What I am looking for is a NATURAL way that is effective in PERMANENTLY erasing this spot!!!!!!!!!
Removal of sun(liver)spots.?
Try Porecelana or Nadinola cream. They are available at the drugstore. It takes a month to 6 weeks to work so be patient. Otherwise use a cover up stick to touch it up.

Is it true that Germans don't tan easily?

I've heard that German skin doesn't tan very well.. I'm mostly German and no matter HOW hard I try, I DON'T TAN. I don't even sunburn. My grandma came from Germany.. so is it true??
Is it true that Germans don't tan easily?
I live in Germany and I see A LOT of tan girls walking around! So I dunno what to tell you hun!
Is it true that Germans don't tan easily?
Scandanavian skin burns before it tans. Depends what part of Germany.
Reply:Yes they have very light skin pigments because the live so far away from the equator
Reply:Melanin is produced to protect the skin from negative influence of sun rays. If you have problems with tanning, you are more at risk, I think. Maybe some synthesis deffect?
Reply:Absolutely not.I've been in Germany a lot of times and I saw tanned Germans.

Tanning and not tanning is a matter of your genepool (which does not exclusively come from your granny).

I'm Hungarian,I have fair skin, and even tho my dad tans really easily I'm in the same boat as you are: I simply cannot tan.I used to get burnt, now I don't even do that.

My guess is that people with very fair skin do not tan easily.

Try the solarium,it helped me get a nice color.

Oh,and when I was near the sea for two weeks in Italy.Salty weather is good for your tan.
Reply:It's not just specific to Germans! Many people don't tan easily- like Nicole Kidman. My dad is blonde and he has reddish-white skin- he doesn't tan AT ALL. He just gets really red and then burns and then peels. Don't abuse your skin with too much sun because you'll pay the price later. Sun is very damaging to the skin and over-exposing yourself in hopes of tanning will accelerate sun spots and wrinkle formation.

Just make the most of your fair skin- so many colors look lovely on you- take advantage of that!

How long do I have to go in a tanning bed for it to be dangerous?

I am going on a tropical vacation and want to be a little tan so I will not get too sunburned. (I am very fair-skinned.) I recently bought a membership at a tanning parlor and have only gone once, a few days ago (for the first time in my entire life.) I know tanning beds are very dangerous and I fully intend to stop tanning after my vacation (in about a month.) but I just read an article talking about tanning even once a month is bad. How often should I go and for how long to get a good tan but not cause any damage? I went for 6 minutes, Level 1 my first time. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How long do I have to go in a tanning bed for it to be dangerous?
Unbelievable. Come on, now. You hear it over and over for years that tanning causes skin cancer.....and YOU don't think it will happen to you? Did you know it's common for people as young as 18, 19, 20 to get skin cancer? That's like saying that "I'm going to stop smoking after.." or "I'm going to stop drinking after.." or "I'm going to stop doing 'E' after...". BS. Tell the tanning salon that your work hours changed and you won't be able to come in and see if you can get at least a partial refund.

With fair skin you will never get a good tan, you will only get pink. And ANY color that you get from the tanning booth or the sun? It's all damage.

You don't want to get burned on your vacation? Simple. SUNSCREEN. Apply OFTEN. I have very fair skin---but it's BEAUTIFUL skin. My sisters are older than I am....and 2 out of 3 have had skin cancer twice. That's why I always used the highest sunscreen I could.
How long do I have to go in a tanning bed for it to be dangerous?
45 minutes at most
Reply:Tanning, regardless of whether from sun rays, or a tanning bed amounts to you being roasted like the Thanksgiving Day turkey. This is not said as a joke, but in hope of you forgetting this nonsense. The effects of burned skin is NOT reversible. You will pay for it down the road, in the way of leathery skin, skin cancer, etc.
Reply:how many times do you have to be told tanning in any way is bad for you think of the cancer you may get or leather like skin you have to live with for the rest of your life
Reply:Your best solution is a high SPF sunscreen, applied very regularly throughout the day, especially if you go in water. Even the water-resistant stuff should be reapplied when you get out. I know you say you are not concerned about being tan, but I think you probably want to a bit to look good. Keep in mind, looking tan and "good or healthy" now could mean cancer later or lot of leathery, wrinkly skin. And, later could mean when you are 30ish; not necessarily when you are 60 or 70. Please just protect your skin instead of tanning it.

Rash under breast??

I recently discovered a rash under both of my breasts kind of in the center where the cleavage is and going underneath. It almost looks like a sunburn that is peeling but i havent been out. It doesnt itch its just red and kinda peely. I wear sports bras because im kinda busty and need the support that i cant get from other bras. I really cant afford to buy a really good bra and i bought my sports bras at walmart. Should i treat it with some cream or maybe powder to keep dry?? What could it bee and what should i do??
Rash under breast??
It sounds like you have a yeast infection. Make sure that you dry your skin after you shower. There is a cream that is very good to put on the rash which is called "Nystatin". You can only get it with a prescription from the doctor.
Rash under breast??
sounds like it could be a yeast infection,
Reply:See a doctor about it.

In the meantime, put some cornstarch on it. That will help it feel better.
Reply:MAKE SURE YOU DRY GOOD AFTER YOU SHOWER, ALSO USE POWDER. THIS IS NORMAL FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE A LITTLE LARGER. WORSE USUALLY IN THE SUMMER OR WHEN WE EXERCISE. TRY TO REMOVE BRA IN THE EVENING SO THIS CAN GET SOME AIR TO DRY OUT. DON'T WEAR BRA TO BED.
Reply:The sports bra is making you sweat (even if you don't feel it). I recommend using Balmex. You can find it in the baby section of your local supermarket. It is a diaper cream. It will heal your rash and keep any sweat from affecting your skin. I use it all the time in the summer months.
Reply:i have big breasts DD and i wear sport bras too a lot just use baby powder or cornstarch it should go way it's from sweat it's maybe the heat. i hope this helps you
Reply:lotion, and it;'s probaly from your bra! try a wired bra, it holds them up from rashing, if you dont want a new bra, simply put a piece of tissue between the rash and bra
Reply:its probably from sweating and or heat....ever consider to put some powder or even deoderant there?? this might help....
Reply:I'm busty also and my Dr. said that this is prickly heat. Completely innocent but irritating. Clean the area really well then pat it dry. Before you put your bra on, put baby powder on in the whole area where your breasts touch the skin when you're not wearing the bra. I keep my bra on even at night so that i don't get that rash all the time. It has taken care of the problem except when I sweat. Then I have to repowder like 3 times a day.

Help me!!!?

i found out that i have social anxiaty or whatever, what it does is makes my arms turn sunburn red and after i calm down it goes away

what can make me normal, like when a lot of people are talking to me and like are gathered around me it feels uncomfortable and i start blushing and stuff, and when i get embarrased especially, so help me what can i do to make it go away and become part of the group
Help me!!!?
People with social anxiety disorder usually recognize that their fears are irrational, but they can’t help feeling fearful and allowing their fears to affect the way they conduct their lives. They often experience negative thought patterns that contribute to and prolong their anxiety.

How to cope with social anxiety ...

#Slow, shallow breathing.

Consciously trying to heighten or exaggerate your anxiety or symptoms. Paradoxically, this usually has the effect of decreasing anxiety or its symptoms.

#Positive self-talk can reduce anxiety. It includes telling yourself that your symptoms and anxiety will diminish if you wait them out, and that other people in the room are probably anxious too.

#Breaking some of the tension by verbalizing your feelings in a humorous way (“Boy, I sure am a nervous wreck.”).

#Carrying supportive statements, such as “I’ve handled this before, and I can handle it now,” on index cards and looking at them when necessary.
Help me!!!?
is there not a pill that you can take that will help you? hopefully, fijnd out, take care!!
Reply:concentrate on your breating (IN OUT IN OUT) Say that in your head in a slow calming manor.

Ask your doctor about meds.
Reply:try a medicine for it. go to your DOC..... Paxil works well my neice had it and it did wonders for her.... goood luck
Reply:I tend to have the same problem. But it is mainly my face and chest area. I read somewhere years ago that an aspirin can help relieve the red effect because it works with your blood. I've tried it a few times but really don't know for sure it it helped me all that much. Zanax works best for me...
Reply:Who said you have social anxiety disorder? If it was a doctor, he would have given you something for it or recommended counseling. If he didn't, go back.

If a friend told you, that's just his opinion. Blushing does not indicate social anxiety disorder. It merely indicates you are embarrassed at being the center or attention. It takes practise, but you can overcome it by hanging around with one friend who understands and is more outgoing than you.

If it is the most miserable thing in the world to you, then see a doctor. Good luck.
Reply:LOL! Nick, RELAX... They are just people JUST like YOU! Once you realize you have no reason to be sweating, it will go away...

No reason to be embarrassed... Just relax and be you...

Just because someone said so, does not make it so... If it is really bad, then see a doctor, but I have found working out works great and it is natural... Better for you in more ways than one....
