Help me!!!?
People with social anxiety disorder usually recognize that their fears are irrational, but they can’t help feeling fearful and allowing their fears to affect the way they conduct their lives. They often experience negative thought patterns that contribute to and prolong their anxiety.

How to cope with social anxiety ...

#Slow, shallow breathing.

Consciously trying to heighten or exaggerate your anxiety or symptoms. Paradoxically, this usually has the effect of decreasing anxiety or its symptoms.

#Positive self-talk can reduce anxiety. It includes telling yourself that your symptoms and anxiety will diminish if you wait them out, and that other people in the room are probably anxious too.

#Breaking some of the tension by verbalizing your feelings in a humorous way (“Boy, I sure am a nervous wreck.”).

#Carrying supportive statements, such as “I’ve handled this before, and I can handle it now,” on index cards and looking at them when necessary.
Help me!!!?
is there not a pill that you can take that will help you? hopefully, fijnd out, take care!!
Reply:concentrate on your breating (IN OUT IN OUT) Say that in your head in a slow calming manor.

Ask your doctor about meds.
Reply:try a medicine for it. go to your DOC..... Paxil works well my neice had it and it did wonders for her.... goood luck
Reply:I tend to have the same problem. But it is mainly my face and chest area. I read somewhere years ago that an aspirin can help relieve the red effect because it works with your blood. I've tried it a few times but really don't know for sure it it helped me all that much. Zanax works best for me...
Reply:Who said you have social anxiety disorder? If it was a doctor, he would have given you something for it or recommended counseling. If he didn't, go back.

If a friend told you, that's just his opinion. Blushing does not indicate social anxiety disorder. It merely indicates you are embarrassed at being the center or attention. It takes practise, but you can overcome it by hanging around with one friend who understands and is more outgoing than you.

If it is the most miserable thing in the world to you, then see a doctor. Good luck.
Reply:LOL! Nick, RELAX... They are just people JUST like YOU! Once you realize you have no reason to be sweating, it will go away...

No reason to be embarrassed... Just relax and be you...

Just because someone said so, does not make it so... If it is really bad, then see a doctor, but I have found working out works great and it is natural... Better for you in more ways than one....
