Emergancy!?
OK a few days ago I really sunburned on my nose. I havn%26#039;t been washing it becuase the soaps sting. Now I have this ginormus zit and I have tried everything... Do you have any home remedies that can help... I need answers ASAP!!!

I know this sounds weird...but you need to put the (sunburn)fire out because it is CONTINUING to burn you.
I know what works because I am Norwegian/Swede and Irish.
pour vinegar over it a few times until it doesn%26#039;t feel so darn hot. then lather your self in aloe Vera. vinegar puts the heat out
aloe Vera keeps it from turning into leather.

Please help me.... I got a sunburn from a tanning. It burns and itches. So far I put anti-itching spray and lotion on it and it still burns and itches. PLEASE HELP ME!!

Tanning bed + you = not destined for anything except maybe weird marks. Try Jergens Tanning Lotion; it works so well, and it comes in 3 types (for pale skin, medium, and dark) so it%26#039;s personalized to YOUR skin. Plus, it%26#039;s under $10 and you don%26#039;t have to worry about some weird spot on your skin that might grow into a flesheating cancer thing. I personally think the only ways to tan are to slather on some SPF and go out in a bikini or get some tanning lotion. Tanning showers and beds are just not ... natural.

Skin started peeling randomly?
Two days ago my skin started peeling. I don%26#039;t have a sunburn and I don%26#039;t use any skin/beauty/make up products because I have discovered that my skin reacts negatively. So I didn%26#039;t really notice anything was wrong until after I took my shower that morning. Skin was coming off of my nose, my cheeks, my chin, and around my lips. Additionally, this white stuff is coming out of my pores. What is this? My skin has never peeled before. All I used that morning were shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste and they were ones I usually use, so it couldn%26#039;t have been an aversive reaction to those. If anyone could help me, that would be great.

I got a bad sunburn on my feet and now I have blisters. Anything I can do?

Try not to take your feet outside--barefoot. And stay off of them as much as possible. I%26#039;m being serious even though it sounds funny. Oh yeah, letting the air get to them may help, so try wearing flip-flops. Hope this helps!

Another option is buy a spray medicine that%26#039;s been advertised on tv for it- comes in a blue box and it used be described as working so well, it was like freezing the blisters off.
Reply:when the blisters rupture, remove all the dead skin which was the cap of the blister. Wash area 2-3 times a day with warm soapy water, then apply topical antibiotic like neosporin. Keep exposed to air as much as possilbe, watch for sings of infection. Elevate feet when not standing, and use motrin. Remember sunscreen.

-take 3 tbls of salt and mix it in with a cup and a half of water
-heat for 87 sec in microwave set on HIGH
-now take 3 D batteries and gray tape them to the sides of the

-fill 50 gallon drum with depleated uranium

-throw in the cup of salt water and D batteries
If my calculations are correct you will be thrown back in to before you sunburned your feets. And so will be able to prevent it from happening in the first place.

I got a really really bad sunburn on my ear in May during my vacation, it blistered and peeled quite badly. And now my ear is peeling again for no obvious reason...should I get this checked out, or did I maybe just burn my ear in California again?

Just to start with, I was a dental nurse for 6 years and never saw this.
Also, I have impeccable oral hygiene, I%26#039;m 24 and have never had a cavity.
But yesterday I was reading and felt something on my tongue. It felt a bit like a really fine onion skin or something sitting there, so I scratched it off. It was some white stuff. I thought it must have been something I ate. Then it happened again, and again so I went to look in the mirror and saw that the white stuff was all over my tongue.
The white stuff was the skin covering my tongue and when I looked at the rest of my mouth, it was the same. I peeled it all off (like peeling off sunburned skin) and it wasn%26#039;t sore or anything.
I haven%26#039;t seen this before and I haven%26#039;t eaten anything hot or spicy in the last few days, but I am pregnant. Has this ever happened to anyone else? And why?

My dog has an inflammation on his muzzle, right next to his nose. It's pink but not scabby or scaly or itchy.
I have a healthy 2 year old male Australian Shepherd. For the last three weeks he has had a pink inflammation on his muzzle, just on one side, right next to his nose, about the size of a quarter. It doesn%26#039;t seem to bother him--he doesn%26#039;t scratch it and it isn%26#039;t scabby or scaly. Sometimes it appears a bit brighter pink, then gets a little paler but never goes away entirely. The skin doesn%26#039;t seem swollen or bruised, just pink. The fine fur in that area seems to be thinning as compared with the fur on the other side of his nose. It almost looks like a patch of sunburn just in that one spot and initially I thought it would just go away on its own. It has not spread beyond that one small patch. He doesn%26#039;t seem bothered by it but it looks sore to me. I just don%26#039;t know what would sooth it--he would probably lick off any kind of medicated cream. Thank you.

They are large white spots that i have had since i was born. they do not become tan or sunburned. And when i get cut there the white comes back after the cut has healed. My mother says its just my skin not getting pigment when I was a baby. But I would really like to know what it actually is?

i cant remember exactly how i got these scars, but ive got a pretty good idea.. i think i had sunburn on vacation like 4 years back, and i scratched it.. thats the only way i can rememeber getting the scars i doubt theyd come any other way so that has to be it...
now theres like 5 pink lines (im tan so they really show on my skin) going across my back.. its pretty visible and it sucks .. i hate it ... and they look like scratch marks

Anyone take acutane?
alright all those acne fighters! here%26#039;s a question for you. i am starting to take acutane and the first does is tonite. how quickly does it work? does you skin get worse before it starts working and when do u see results from the acutane!!?!?!? any advice is helpful.. also does acutane make u get sunburned and what acne creams did u use when you took it! thanks for ur help

Just got back from a week in Cornwall and got a slight problem - On thursday I went surfing, and when I got back to the beach I took off my wet suit and applied a fresh layer of sun cream everywhere........ apart from my feet (mainly as they were covered in sand). Aside from the usual sunburn, they%26#039;ve also swollen and I can feel fluid sloshing about on the top of each foot down towards my toes - anyone else ever had this? I%26#039;ve been applying plenty of moisturiser, ice packs and taking anti inflammatories, but the swelling still doesn%26#039;t seem to be subsiding.
Has anyone had this before and what have you done about it?
(And yes I%26#039;m quite aware that it was stupid of me not to apply suncream to my feet, so please no patronising comments that I should have done so in the first place - that doesn%26#039;t help - hindsight is a beautiful thing and it%26#039;s a bit late now to tell me what I should have done 3 days ago!)

Yes, I%26#039;ve seen swelling with severe sunburn. One of my teens came home from a river tubing trip severely burned. I took him to the dr. the next day, was told he had second degree burns in places.
If you have blisters over the tops of your feet, you have second degree burns most likely. I would advise you to see a physician. In the meantime, continue the anti inflammatories, try a soothing sunburn relief gel that contains lidocaine, which is a topical pain reliever.

Anti inflammatories are definitely the way to go. Problem is that you can get an infection if the area does not remain clean. Good luck

As far as I know, the risks are very low for injury and the health benefits outweight the injury risks by far! If trying to reason with your mom doesn%26#039;t work after several attempts, I%26#039;d say that you do it anyway, tell your mom that she really can%26#039;t stop you. What is she going to do, kick you out of the house? If so, tell her fine, you%26#039;ll go live with one of your friends who has their own place. I always freak out if my hair gets frizzy or if my eyeshadow isn%26#039;t perfect or if I get a pimple, but guys say that they don%26#039;t notice those things. If they think a girl is pretty, then she%26#039;s pretty regardless of any imperfections she has at the moment. Is this true? When I was on vacation in St. Thomas and St. Maarten I looked like crap (mismatched clothes, sunburned skin, frizzy hair, no makeup) but guys kept telling me how beautiful I was. I still find it a little hard to believe though.

In the year 2100 humungous domes will have to be built where humans live. Everyone has asthma and/or some kind of serious respiratory disease. Hopefully the humans can get the wild animals--hardly any left--to live with them inside these domes. Due to air pollution the sunlight will be obscure and if any living being goes outside they will get a 3rd degree sunburn! The possibility of skin cancer is prevalent--3/4 of the population of US have it. Besides the domes, a thick layer of protective cement has to be placed over the ground to protect the living from the poisons that ancestors have pumped into the ground. Ocean life will be vastly dimished--perhaps mutants that can live off of pollution will live there and no human could ever swim in it again! People, does this sound like an accurate outcome to our senseless destruction of the planet? The generation of 2100 will be cursing ours. Is this the legacy we want to leave to them? Purchase more eco friendly products.
Carpool to work or events.
Volunteer for adopt a highway projects or other cleaning projects.
Work with city officials on ways to conserve energy.
Try not to use products that contain CFC%26#039;s or other harmfull materials.
Perhaps even start a compost garden.
Run your car on vegtable oil.
Turn your house into a solar powered home.
Ride your bike more often or walk vs. driving.

I have a cousin who began seeing a naturpathic doctor and she now thinks that sunblock actually causes skin cancer, and now she refuses to wear it. So all summer she%26#039;s been getting sunburned. Is there evidence that this may be true, or is she unknowingly putting herself at risk?
She also thinks that soy products are very very unhealthy. Is there evidence of this being true as well?

If I burn, Is it possible for me to get a tan?
I have red hair and fairly pail skin. Today i was outside for a while and i got a sun burn on the back of my neck, arms, and a little on my face which needless to say made me feel dumb and annoyed at the same time. So I was wondering, is there some method that when applied would make me tan instead of burn. I also dont think that if i got really sunburned it would tan.... i think i would just continue to burn and my skin would start peeling off. I don%26#039;t really know the science behind tanning so im not really sure... reguardless I was just wondering if its possible for me to tan (I also dont want to do anything unsafe that might result in skin cancer or malenoma)... But it seemed like a lot of risk for a little, temporary result. And it resulted in a lot of permanent freckles. Two days ago my skin started peeling. I don%26#039;t have a sunburn and I don%26#039;t use any skin/beauty/make up products because I have discovered that my skin reacts negatively. So I didn%26#039;t really notice anything was wrong until after I took my shower that morning. Skin was coming off of my nose, my cheeks, my chin, and around my lips. Additionally, this white stuff is coming out of my pores. What is this? My skin has never peeled before. All I used that morning were shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste and they were ones I usually use, so it couldn%26#039;t have been an aversive reaction to those. If anyone could help me, that would be great.

I suggest Arbonne products they make pure and natural ph balanced things for every skin type. If the purest is to harsh their baby line is really wonderful and may be just what you need.
Do not ever use lotions with mineral oil in them (petroleum based, vaseline, baby oils) this is really hard on your skin it doesn%26#039;t soften it like people assume.

Another option is buy a spray medicine that%26#039;s been advertised on tv for it- comes in a blue box and it used be described as working so well, it was like freezing the blisters off.
Reply:when the blisters rupture, remove all the dead skin which was the cap of the blister. Wash area 2-3 times a day with warm soapy water, then apply topical antibiotic like neosporin. Keep exposed to air as much as possilbe, watch for sings of infection. Elevate feet when not standing, and use motrin. Remember sunscreen.

If my calculations are correct you will be thrown back in to before you sunburned your feets. And so will be able to prevent it from happening in the first place.

I got a really really bad sunburn on my ear in May during my vacation, it blistered and peeled quite badly. And now my ear is peeling again for no obvious reason...should I get this checked out, or did I maybe just burn my ear in California again?

Immediately apply a cold compress (either a cold wet washcloth or ice) and take some ibuprofen. If you would like to take a shower, take a coolish, lukewarm shower. You don%26#039;t want it too hot, it will hurt, and you don%26#039;t want it too cold or you can shock your system. Use aloe gel or lotion (oil free!) on it or any other good, water based lotion, and continue to take ibuprofen for it, for about a week. You can also use plain yogurt on the burned area, it will soothe it and cool it down. This should help with the pain and help the skin start to heal itself. From now on, you need to either stay out of the sun and wear a high SPF sunscreen so you don%26#039;t reburn the skin.

my bf had a %26quot;pimple%26quot; on his neck which was full of pus, it had been there for quite a few years (at least 10). he%26#039;d even been to doctor thinking it may have been something else, doctor said it was a pimple not to worry about it. my bf got badly sunburnt so i applied fresh aloe vera on it and the next day it formed a head, i squeezed it and pus came out. it smelt horrible, but the %26quot;pimple%26quot; has gone down. he even had people try and squeeze it years before but to no avail. it was quite noticable on his neck and now u can%26#039;t see it!

Sounds like a cyst that keeps getting infected. I had one. He should see a dermatologist. They can remove the cyst and prevent further infections from occuring

OKay, maybe i am being a little dramatic but yesterday i was in the sun and got sun burned soooooooooooo bad on my shoulders! Then I was outside last night and the mosquitos were out! The mosquitos bit my sunburn and it itches really bad, BUT when I scratch it, it hurts! I have been piling on aloe vera and it only helps a little. Taking a shower this morning was murder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How do i soothe my sun burn and stop the mosquito bites from itching!

ok, ok, dont give up yet.get a real aloe vera plant.break it in half.rub the juice on your sunburn.keep your shoulders wet at all times.when the musguito bites itch put vinegar on them.the real aloe vera plant has to be full grown.so ask some ppl near here u live if they have one.u wont peel if u do this.
