My mom won't let me play track, what should i do?

well, i love track alot but my mom wont let me play she said it was something about getting sunburned or spraing an ankle?
My mom won%26#039;t let me play track, what should i do?
you got to obey her she is your mother but try to convince her that this something you really want to do and that if you love it that much you will risk spraining your ankle and getting sunburned tell her it wont kill you
My mom won%26#039;t let me play track, what should i do?
get a tattoo. She will hate that.
Reply:CAn you sneek out and do it?-----------good LUCk star
Reply:try chess. it is a very enticing sport.
Reply:Listen. Try to talk to her find out the real reason. Good Luck!
Reply:Dont let her %26quot;run%26quot; your life
Reply:Try to get your mother more involved in track. Like watching races, videos, television, reading books anyway she might be able to connect with it. And hopefully she would see for herself you will be okay. She loves you and only wants the best. Good luck hun, and lucky for you one day you WILL be old enough to make your own decisions...
Reply:Don%26#039;t get a tattoo and don%26#039;t sneak out. Maybe you could discuss it more with your mom. Explain to her how much it means to you and that risks are a part of life. Maybe you can talk her into it. Also, tell her you%26#039;ll wear sunblock.
Reply:first of all what mother would not let you be in track? i mean my mother practically begged me to be in track! well, just tell her that you will wear alot of sun-screen and you can put sport bans on your ankles.
Reply:well if ur careful itll all be ok. i ran track last year and i was perfectly fine. i put on sunblock before every practice and meet.
Reply:Earn her trust, make a deal with her, do something let her choose, in return you can play track.

Good luck,
Reply:and you wont get sunburned or sprain an ankle any other way?

shes not being honest with you..maybe track coach could call her and discuss what her real fears are
Reply:I would talk to the track coach first and explain to him what your mom%26#039;s concerns are. See if he has any advice or if he would be willing to speak with your mom about the risks, etc. Your mom would be crazy (seemingly) to not let you do track as it is very healthy and a good activity... its better than getting drunk. As far as I know, the risks are very low for injury and the health benefits outweight the injury risks by far! If trying to reason with your mom doesn%26#039;t work after several attempts, I%26#039;d say that you do it anyway, tell your mom that she really can%26#039;t stop you. What is she going to do, kick you out of the house? If so, tell her fine, you%26#039;ll go live with one of your friends who has their own place. Mom%26#039;s will never let their kids really move out haha. Good luck!!
Reply:She sounds like a control freak. If it were a sport where you could be seriously hurt very easily, I%26#039;d understand. But track?

If it%26#039;s a school team, have the coach and school counselors talk to her. They might convince her, or, find out why she has a strange mentality.
Reply:slap her in the face and then do it
Reply:That seems weird - sports don%26#039;t get much safer than track. Does your Mom let you leave the house in the morning?

Does she let you play any other sports or participate in any other activities? I%26#039;d just ask her to compare what you already do with the rather low amount of peril involved in track. Good luck!
Reply:Talk to her and tell her that it is the most rewarding sport you can ever do.
