Can someone explain why this happened? - see more detail below?

my bf had a %26quot;pimple%26quot; on his neck which was full of pus, it had been there for quite a few years (at least 10). he%26#039;d even been to doctor thinking it may have been something else, doctor said it was a pimple not to worry about it. my bf got badly sunburnt so i applied fresh aloe vera on it and the next day it formed a head, i squeezed it and pus came out. it smelt horrible, but the %26quot;pimple%26quot; has gone down. he even had people try and squeeze it years before but to no avail. it was quite noticable on his neck and now u can%26#039;t see it!

or it%26#039;s possible that the inflammation from the sunburn or an ingredient in the aloe vera may have caused the infection to be pushed to the surface, causing a head.

Sounds like a cyst that keeps getting infected. I had one. He should see a dermatologist. They can remove the cyst and prevent further infections from occuring
Reply:wow great idea, thanks.
Reply:Wierd but sweet story.
Reply:It could have been a boil or an ingrown hair that worked it%26#039;s way out. I%26#039;ve dealt with both on an ex and when his popped, it smelled terrible. It leaked some green pus for a little while and then disappeared. Nasty stuff, but at least it%26#039;s gone now.
Reply:sounds like a misdiagonosed syst. Those things can last forever and they do have pus. My mom had on on her back one time..ewwwww...repressed memories...coming...back!
Reply:Burned the first layers of skin, applied aloe (also good for pimples) it helped. Brilliant!!!
Reply:My suggest is to go to a dermatologist. It could be a calcium buildup [it will keep coming back] or a cyst [which will keep getting infected and coming back] in either case a dermatologist can remove.

Also get some charcoal mix[comes in a small flat can] if it starts to grow, open it up,put the charcoal mix on it ,let it set, wipe it off after it has drawn out the infection and bacteria. Clean with hot water then apply cold cloth to shut the pore. Especially if it takes time to get an appointment.
Reply:Probably a misdiagnosed cyst that might reappear if the internal lining not destroyed. Heat (sunlight) and enzymes from aloe vera helped.
