Does anyone care about the environment? We are really screwing it up and our administration doesn't--do you?

In the year 2100 humungous domes will have to be built where humans live. Everyone has asthma and/or some kind of serious respiratory disease. Hopefully the humans can get the wild animals--hardly any left--to live with them inside these domes. Due to air pollution the sunlight will be obscure and if any living being goes outside they will get a 3rd degree sunburn! The possibility of skin cancer is prevalent--3/4 of the population of US have it. Besides the domes, a thick layer of protective cement has to be placed over the ground to protect the living from the poisons that ancestors have pumped into the ground. Ocean life will be vastly dimished--perhaps mutants that can live off of pollution will live there and no human could ever swim in it again! People, does this sound like an accurate outcome to our senseless destruction of the planet? The generation of 2100 will be cursing ours. Is this the legacy we want to leave to them? Please think about this even if you don%26#039;t care

I admire your wanting to change the world overnight.

The current economy we live in makes it rought to adjust elsewise. Nonetheless, to conserve:

I%26#039;d suggest: Turning off electrical applicances or lights when not in use.

Minimize useage of dryer.

Take shorter showers and take less time to wash your car.

Dry your hair w/ a towell vs. blow drying it.

Purchase more eco friendly products.

Carpool to work or events.

Volunteer for adopt a highway projects or other cleaning projects.

Work with city officials on ways to conserve energy.

Try not to use products that contain CFC%26#039;s or other harmfull materials.

Perhaps even start a compost garden.

Run your car on vegtable oil.

Turn your house into a solar powered home.

Ride your bike more often or walk vs. driving.

Volunteer to spread the message on how to conserve vs. bashing presidents. That isn%26#039;t going to do anything but steer away from your agenda and make it as if your in care of government vs. enviroment.

The only way we are going to see changes if we all do our part. The President doesn%26#039;t represent how we all react to daily life. We live in a democracy. Therefore, everyone is entitled to thier own decision making. You cannot force viewpoints. However, what you can do is assist in providing solutions vs. pointing fingers.

Reply:Bush doesn%26#039;t care, His Jesus will come back soon and fix everything,
Reply:yes. I think we are totally f%26#039;ing up our planet. And I agree.....the administration doesn%26#039;t seem to give a damn! I truly care! I am pagan and I feel that we need to be responsible to our mother earth! Blessings to you! Im glad to see others who care!
Reply:Why did we come about from this environment in the first place? Seems like something went right, and science would argue that no one was around when life begin in this environment. Not to mention, how do we know the environment will not be here if we are destroyed by it? I do not have to care about the environment because it is not up to me to care, if I do care about the environment it is because the environment is set up in such a way that I am supposed to care about it. Thus, if we screw up the environment, is that not just the environment working with itself? I can not hurt the enivronment, the environment will be what it is beyond us.
Reply:I care I use to work for Greenpeace international I try to do my part in keeping mother earth happy. Greenpeace is an environmental agency out of Washington D.C. you can find them on the Internet, go for it let them know how you feel maybe even join them in their fight again ts the administration.
Reply:I do ...but also blame the multinational corps. as well.
