Vacation Advice.?

I want to go to New Jersey with my friend and her family, but my parents are saying no. I used to behave very badly and do things I shouldn%26#039;t have done, but I have shown extreme amounts of responsibility in the past few months. Now their excuse to not let me go is because my younger sister went away for the weekend and came home with a bad sunburn, and they will not allow their children to be neglected by other people. I%26#039;m almost 17 years old, though. Does anyone have any advice? The vacation is in a week and I%26#039;m running out of ideas!

Listen to your parents. I know this sounds so, well, stupid, but you will have PLENTY of time to vacation when you are older and you won%26#039;t have to worry about what your parents will say about it.

Reply:Just go with it.... Parents don%26#039;t normally change their minds and the more you buck the system the more they will say no...
Reply:Tell your parents that you are becoming a responisible young adult and they will never see that if they don%26#039;t give you the chance to prove it to them. If you think that you are so responsible then you have to act it and whining and crying to them because they said no isn%26#039;t going to let them see how grown up you are. Take responisblity and they will more than likely say yes!

Reply:They said no so thats your answer, you used to be have badly so how can they trust that you wont do it again. They cant completely trust you because of your past. Regardless of what you think your only 16 years old and depend on your parents and they just want to ensure that you dont take the time to undermine how they want to raise you because they think they are doing it right, they want you to turn out right and another parent would have different parenting skills
