WHY shouldn't I be allowed to SING in my own shower???

I believe I have certain rights, no matter who is whining about my SINGING in the shower. I do not pick unusual hours to do it and believe the ceiling is thick enough -- even if I am bellowing, er crooning -- in my deepest, and incredibly melodic Elvis imitation.

We're caught in a trap

I can't walk out

Because I love you too much baby

BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY

My uncouth, and thoroughly rude, neighbor with the orange skin and 150-year-old sunburned leather face stomps her foot down on the floor above me whenever I'm "performing." How impolite %26amp; STUPID is that?

We can't go on together

With suspicious minds

And we can't build our dreams

On suspicious MIIINDS

When one is as talented as I clearly am musically, I ask WHAT IS THIS CREATURE'S PROBLEM???
WHY shouldn't I be allowed to SING in my own shower???
Jealousy she is soooo dam jealous because you can sing and you are happy sad people don't sing and they don't like it when we do I say to hell with that old bat sing till the cows come and sing it again sam !
WHY shouldn't I be allowed to SING in my own shower???
sing loud and proud sing that elvis
Reply:That's my fave Elvis song. If we shared walls, I'd sing along with you, but you'd probably bang on the walls to tell me to stop...I sing horribly. Keep on singing, so long as it's at a decent hour of the day and isn't violating any noise ordinance.
Reply:Maybe you should turn on your stereo really loud in the living room before you hit the shower. Then she can stomp her foot in another room, and you can enjoy your concert hall.
Reply:U can do wat u want. dont let dat damn neighbour stop u. infact wen she stomps her foot u start singing loudly n continue doin dat until she stops but u do stop wen she does so dat she gets ur msg rite.
Reply:I sing in the shower! Why would anybody have a problem with that? What I think is shower time is your time to be alone %26gt;( who would be in the bathroom while you're in the shower or whatever. Continue singing my friend!
Reply:You sound good to yourself. If you were that good as you said you wouldn't be performing in the shower and you'd be so rich by now that you won't have to live underneath someone else.

I think you are being a little bit too loud with the singing that it bothered her. So keep it down a little. Besides she's an old lady. You claim no one can hear you, but obviously someone does. So keep it down. There's nothing wrong with being yourself, but don't let other become a victim of you being yourself.
Reply:Because you sound terrible.
Reply:Instead of taking delight in annoying your neighbors by being an inconsiderate ingrate, you should take the cacophony of discord you enjoy force feeding your neighbors to a deserted island and remain there with it, because you simply stink.

How much does a paint job for a car cost?

I have a ninety-something civic (just like everybody else, I know) and it's badly sunburned in several areas. I would like to repaint it an entirely different colour; would that cost more than simply repainting it the same factory colour? How much would that cost on average?
How much does a paint job for a car cost?
#1- you get what you pay for. the $200 paint jobs advertised are designed to make your car look decent enough to sell (but sell it quick, it wont last long!)

paint jobs can range from probably $100 from the back yard painter to 10's of thousands like the cars you see at shows and in magazines.

for the regular daily driver car, to update its look, a $1000 paint job would be good.
How much does a paint job for a car cost?
$300-500 last time I asked around.
Reply:no it wouldn't cost any more unless you pick an expensive paint. you could paint it for around 500 less if you do the body work yourself.
Reply:There was a fellow in Atlanta, Georgia, named "Earl Scheib". His commercials always touted: "I'll paint any car for $99.95".

While I've never used them (the birds usually end up painting my vehicle) I imagine that you may "get what you pay for."

Also, if you don't live in Atlanta, it may be cheaper to have it done elsewhere (or learn to do it yourself and buy the materials) than make the trip; although a road trip might be fun!

Edit: Apparently Earl Scheib has franchised. It seems you can get a basic paint job for $229.95. They also seem to have shops in many states. I've included a link to their site below.
Reply:depending on where you go and what color/colors you want to get you will pay anywhere from 350 to 500 or 600. if i was you i would go with the factory color b.c of the inside of the car and you want everything to be able to match. if you change everything in the long run it will cost you double the amount that just painting it the factory color would
Reply:For the love of the automotive gods, do not take your car to maaco. You will be sorry. Period. Reason why: they use substandard paints, and these paints are not compatible with any other paints on the market. Meaning: If you paint your car at Maaco, if you ever need a repaint, it has to go back to a Maaco, OR be stripped down completely before any other paint shop does the job.

Now then, you can do alot of the prep work yourself (remove all lights, trim, etc.) so there is alot less to tape off when its in the booth. Take off as much as humanly possible, as trim will hide dirt until its time to paint...then all the airpressure comming from the gun will blast that dirt out of the crevices and go...on your fresh paint. Remember this: The more work you do, the less work they do, meaning less you owe them...or more to go for better paint combination (base/clear instead of single-stage).

All in all, if you do most of the prep work yourself, you can have b/c jobber done for about 700.00 at a small mom-and-pop operation (they are more likely to haggle with prices than, say, a national chain).

Good luck!
Reply:if your going to paint it the same colour try a good waxing first !!!!! trust me if you use a rubbing compound first to help wear the oxidation off first then buff the hell out of it with a GOOD quality wax you can bring it back to a perfect shine ( heres a tip : wax it at night so the sun wont bake your wax ) you can also get a cheep buffer from walmart for about 15 bucks , but if your dealing with rust get it looked after and you will get what you pay for as long as the place is reputable
Reply:if you want a quality paint job that wont peel or flake(like macco, econo bake and other $300 paint jobs) go to a real body shop, you wont regret it
Reply:I don't know where you live, but around here you can't even buy the paint and primers needed to paint your car for those prices these other answer guys quoted to you. Any decent paint job around my area starts at about $2500.00. The more you need done the more it will cost. I have painted cars that cost anywhere from $2500.00 to $25,000.00. Good luck on your endevor and do what you know you can do to save money on your paint job. If you are not sure of what you are doing, the body shop you chose may have to redo what you tried to do and it will cost you even more.

How do I get rid of a really, really, really bad tan line?

I went to the Bahamas on vacation and I went snorkeling. I didn't put enough sunscreen on my back so i came home with a bright red sunburn that stretched from my shoulders to where my bikini bottoms started.

Now, the skin on my back is a mildly dark brownish color, except I've got a solid strip of my natural skin (which is quite light) going across my back where my bikini top was when I got burned. You can see where it hooked and everything -- so it's not very subtle.

Also, if I wear any low cut jeans or shorts and top that doesn't go past my hips, there's a really embarassing tan line that really visible from where my swim bottoms were when I got burned.

I going into highschool and the freshman class is having a pool party. I'm afraid I'm going to get embarassed if someone sees my tan lines.

How can I get rid of my tan lines? These lines aren't the type that will just fade away with time.
How do I get rid of a really, really, really bad tan line?
hey if you wear the same swim suit... all is good
How do I get rid of a really, really, really bad tan line?
You can have tan sprayed on.

You can apply self tanning lotion yourself.
Reply:Duuuude tan lines are HOT! Dont even worry about it at all. seriously flaunt it.
Reply:My advice is to get a sense of humor and play along if anybody makes fun of you. "They don't let you run around naked in the Bahamas you know..."
Reply:spray tan
Reply:try using sunless tanning lotion...just try not to get the stuff that turns you orange. but who cares what you look like with your tan lines...im sure no one will care :)
Reply:when i get a bad tan line i just try to stay indoors most of the time. i lose a tan pretty quick.like 2 days
Reply:tan nude.
Reply:get a full body burn lay out in the sun naked. just make sure no one can see you.
Reply:A tanning booth. Also You can just wear a white tank top and board shorts over your bikini.
Reply:get a spray tan.......no tanning bed, no tan lines!!!
Reply:hmmm... i guess if they aren't the type to just fade over time the only thing you would be able to do would be to apply a fake tan to the lines... but i don't know why you are embarrassed... tan lines are really not that bad!!! they just show you've been on an awesome holiday, and have a great natural tan :)
Reply:There are some really great self tanning lotions on the market.

One, called the tanning towel creates a very natural to dark tan in a few hours. You can actually match the tan color of your choice.

I would suggest going to a department store and speaking to the cosmetic consultant and ask for help. Clarins has a good self tanning product as do almost all of the cosmetic lines.
Reply:I dunno personally i think tan lines r sexy, I dont know why girls complain about it so much. If anyone only the girls at the party would make remarks, but who cares? Your not perfect right? Just go and have fun, who cares wtf sum one says.
Reply:Just wear the exact same suit to the party, seamless.

My Body Feels cold, I dont know why?

Since yesterday morning my body's been feeling so cold, and I been getting this strange tingly, shivery feeling whenever I touch my stomach or my back. Almost like a sunburn type feeling. I dont know why I think its cause I slept with the air conditioner on all night. Do you guys think this may be serious?
My Body Feels cold, I dont know why?
It sounds like you either have a fever, or poor circulation in certain areas of your body. Everyone gets a case of the chills sometimes. I don't think that it is serious.
My Body Feels cold, I dont know why?
Have you checked your temperature? It sounds like you may have a fever.
Reply:You might need to see a doctor over this one. I'm scratching my head and can't really come up with anything.
Reply:That's a fever, though I can't imagine how you got that if you're not sick. You better see a doctor about this.
Reply:it could be because of the AC but it also could be a sign of internal bleading. If its not better by morning I would go a head and see a doctor
Reply:Sun poison, sunburn or a fever from something else!

Reply:They are blisters caused by a sun burn..or also sometimes called sun poisoningMild form is like sunburn -- red, Itchy, hot, in patches with Scaly Skin.

Severe form -- vesicles or fragile bullae (fluid-filled, bubble-like areas under the skin).

Cold water or ice compresses wet a towel put in the freezer to get really cold ( as needed

Aloe vera lotions have soothing effects

Tylenol or aspirin for pain

Corticosteroid creams (Betametasone 0.1%) can ease the pain, redness, and itching.

Prednisone pills can be given for severe reactions

keep a eye on them sometimes theycan become infected and then you need to see your doctor.

Next time use a good sunscreen

Have you ever....?

...had a weird sunburn pattern? You know, like you feel asleep with your hand on your stomach or something?
Have you ever....?
Oh haah yeah I had a book on my stomach in the beach and when I woke up that part wasnt sunburnt.. but it wasnt like very very clear to see... but it was funny =D
Have you ever....?
Haaaaaaaa. No, I'm always careful of that.
Reply:No, at least not yet. I think it's a little risky to fall asleep if it's really hot outside.

How about you - did you ever get a sunburn tattoo?
Reply:just those lines from the stems of my sunglasses.
Reply:Yup, caused by sand from my kids! Kinda looked like a checker board on acid!

Question about tanning/ base tans?

I never tan in the summer, only burn.

If I go to a tanning salon and get a base tan prior to sun exposure, will my chance of getting sunburned reduce or ... become nonexistant?

Or will the base tan last for a few days and then just go away, leaving me pale and vulnurable to being burned?

Any helpful info welcome.

THANKS.
Question about tanning/ base tans?
Well, you run just as much risk of getting burnt in the tanning bed. They will burn you, too, if you stay in there too long without protection. Honest sunlight is so much better for you, you even get vitamin D from it and don't cook your ovaries. A good way to build up a good base tan is to use 15 protection sunscreen all over when you go out in the sun, and reapply it as directed or when it gets rubbed, washed or sweated off. That lets just enough sun in for you to get that base tan, and then you can start decreasing your SPF if you must go darker. I kept 15 on my little girl who hadn't ever had a suntan when we went to the beach last summer, and it worked! She looked really beachy when we left without getting burnt. We did some research in Chemistry in college and found that anything higher than 15 is not really that much justifiably better at blocking sun. Best wishes!

P.S. I just re-read your question, and yes, you can get a base tan from a tanning bed, all that's happening is your melanin in your skin reacting to the light and releasing pigment. If you've noticed, though, tanning bed tans don't seem to be as golden as regular suntans. I don't know if skin reacts differently to artificial light, but the "tan" you get there lasts (I think) as long as one you get from the sun--a tan's "life" is determined by how long it takes for your skin to shed it's top layers and produce new ones. Tan life can be extended by using moisturizers, especially ALOE-BASED ones. (Some are water-based--look at the first ingredient listed.) Hope this helps!
Question about tanning/ base tans?
Yes if you get a base tan it is less likely that you will burn in the sun, if you use a regular bed which has the same UV as the sun, but you will still want to use SPF. (just a little) But you do have to maintain your base tan or it will fade. Once I have the color I want I decrease to once a week at the tanning bed. But to get the base tan I am going three times a week. I use the regular bed twice and then the stand up on the third day just to get rid of the lines and things. Plus the stand up has a different UV and helps bronze.

You do want to buy good tanning lotion from the salon, the more expensive the better. And moisturize at least once a day. I put regular lotion on in the morning and after I shower at night. Hoped this help!

Anyone know why sun helps so much?

Alright guys, I have somewhat bad acne and whenever i go out in the sun for maybe a weekend (on a trip at the beach or on vacation etc) I get a little sunburnt then the acne flares up then it is really clear for a long time after. anyone know why this is?
Anyone know why sun helps so much?
Vitamin D, is very good for you.
Anyone know why sun helps so much?
i think its vitamin E.....
Reply:i had the same thought. maybe it is sanitizing affect of the sun? solar power kills the germs.
Reply:its because ur sensitive skin is exposed to the sun.. and being in the sun.. ur face also tend to be more oiler.. hence the acne flares up
Reply:I have no excellent explanation for this. I know for a fact that it is a myth that sun exposure dries up oily skin so, that's not the reason. Some studies do show that sun exposure helps, other studies find no direct relation on patients exposing themselves to the sun and acne clearing up. It is highly possible that it is more part of the psyche than reality that the sun helps clear up acne.
Reply:Acne is caused by bacteria clogging pores. The sun and air act to flush the skin with perspiration.
Reply:I guess this is the same thing, like when you cook toast or something the texture changes on the bread because of the heat, well same thing with the sun, the suns heat burns the pimples, and gets rid of them. I know it has something to do with the heat, because the sauna also helps get rid of pimples.

Hope this helps!

Banana Boat tanning lotion & Coppertone sunscreen lotion? Please helpppp!?

hi everyone, i've just bouth the Banana Boat tanning lotion (which does not protect against sunburn) and that's why i had to also buy a sunscreen lotion. I was shopping @ Walmart and I found no Banana Boat sunscreen lotion. I ended up buying Coppertone sunscreen lotion.

My questions are:

1. Are the two good using together? Will I be fine using the combination of these two products?

2. Anyone tried Banana Boat tanning lotion yet? How does it work? How long does it take for u to be as tan as u wish?

3. Can I use Banana Boat tanning oil rather than the tanning lotion? Will the oil be washed off (i'm going to six-flags)? And will it look "ugly" when I sweat - having the tanning oil on my skin? Does it take longer for the oil to dry than the lotion does?

I am sorry for these too many questions! But this is my first time trying these. I appreciate ur time and I hope u have a good one!! Thank you. Please answer my questions!
Banana Boat tanning lotion %26amp; Coppertone sunscreen lotion? Please helpppp!?
I know not from experience, but I would not mix the two products because you'll sunburned (I have dark skin, so I have no worries). I would recommend using the Coppertone sunscreen to protect you from the sun, whether on the beach, or at Six Flags. Tanning lotion is best used when you are going to get a tan. I hope that helps!
Banana Boat tanning lotion %26amp; Coppertone sunscreen lotion? Please helpppp!?
Nothing. Report It

Reply:1. Both products are very good. Yes, you may use them together. So long as you have NO skin conditions. Remember that combining two products is like chemistry class...so if your taking any kind of medication for a skin condition this could have an affect on it. If your using tetracycline do NOT tan...it will only burn you because of that medication is light sensitive.

2. a. I've used it and it only took me 4 hours in the REAL sun while boating to get me started with a fairly decent tan. I'm extremely pale and it takes me twice as long to tan than say...my daughter. Every one's skin is different. You must make sure your skin is in it's best condition before tanning. Dry skin is harder to tan.

3. You can use what ever you wish. I prefer the oil myself. You could then put the coppertone sunscreen on first, letting it soak into your skin %26amp; drying then apply the oil. The oil most certainly washes off during swimming or a water ride and it will "sweat" off. Only the "water proof" lotions are good for long periods of water rides or swimming. And go by 1/2 the time it tells you it's good for. Example. "good for 8 hrs of swimming" reapply after only 4 hrs. Oil isn't supposed to dry...it's oil. The shinier it is on your skin the more it will attract the sun. So keeping this in mind the oil can actually (burn) as well as tan you quicker than a lotion. A good waterproof sunscreen lotion like coppertone would do excellent under any oil. Good luck!
Reply:all i can say is be careful with Banana Boat i tried it once and i broke out REALLY bad. it took forever to get rid of all of it. If you used before then no worries

(sorry i didn't actually answer your question)

How long do I have to go in a tanning bed for it to be dangerous?

I am going on a tropical vacation and want to be a little tan so I will not get too sunburned. (I am very fair-skinned.) I recently bought a membership at a tanning parlor and have only gone once, a few days ago (for the first time in my entire life.) I know tanning beds are very dangerous and I fully intend to stop tanning after my vacation (in about a month.) but I just read an article talking about tanning even once a month is bad. How often should I go and for how long to get a good tan but not cause any damage? I went for 6 minutes, Level 1 my first time. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How long do I have to go in a tanning bed for it to be dangerous?
Unbelievable. Come on, now. You hear it over and over for years that tanning causes skin cancer.....and YOU don't think it will happen to you? Did you know it's common for people as young as 18, 19, 20 to get skin cancer? That's like saying that "I'm going to stop smoking after.." or "I'm going to stop drinking after.." or "I'm going to stop doing 'E' after...". BS. Tell the tanning salon that your work hours changed and you won't be able to come in and see if you can get at least a partial refund.

With fair skin you will never get a good tan, you will only get pink. And ANY color that you get from the tanning booth or the sun? It's all damage.

You don't want to get burned on your vacation? Simple. SUNSCREEN. Apply OFTEN. I have very fair skin---but it's BEAUTIFUL skin. My sisters are older than I am....and 2 out of 3 have had skin cancer twice. That's why I always used the highest sunscreen I could.
How long do I have to go in a tanning bed for it to be dangerous?
45 minutes at most
Reply:Tanning, regardless of whether from sun rays, or a tanning bed amounts to you being roasted like the Thanksgiving Day turkey. This is not said as a joke, but in hope of you forgetting this nonsense. The effects of burned skin is NOT reversible. You will pay for it down the road, in the way of leathery skin, skin cancer, etc.
Reply:how many times do you have to be told tanning in any way is bad for you think of the cancer you may get or leather like skin you have to live with for the rest of your life
Reply:Your best solution is a high SPF sunscreen, applied very regularly throughout the day, especially if you go in water. Even the water-resistant stuff should be reapplied when you get out. I know you say you are not concerned about being tan, but I think you probably want to a bit to look good. Keep in mind, looking tan and "good or healthy" now could mean cancer later or lot of leathery, wrinkly skin. And, later could mean when you are 30ish; not necessarily when you are 60 or 70. Please just protect your skin instead of tanning it.

Please help! Acne problem.?

I have mild acne on my face and chest. My doctor perscribed me : Rosac, Benzoyd Proxide 10%, and RentinA. He told me to go ahead and put it on both my chest and my face. Promblem is my chest is now red like sunburn and is peeling. It is also sensitive to move. Is this normal or what?
Please help! Acne problem.?
With Retin-A you will have sensitivity and peeling for up to 6 weeks.

After, you will notice that it will improve.

What I would do is continue to use the Retin-A, but cut the Benzoyl Peroxide on the chest for a while. It might be too strong to use both until your skin gets used to the Retin-A.

I would also contact your doctor and see if you should cut back to once a day on the Retin-A for a couple of weeks to allow your skin to get used to it.
Please help! Acne problem.?
okay! you may think that this is weird.! But take a egg and rubb the clear slimmy part on your face and let it dry.And when drys wash it off. And u have to be completely open I guess to try it, but Sh** it works. Just do it for bout a month and see if it is a change in your face. Not the yolk (the yellow) tha clear slim when you crack the egg open.
Reply:It is a common side effect, no need to worry unless the redding and peeling is painful.
Reply:I would only put t on the spots where you get them, just a little dab on each on where it dosen't touch the skin that dosen't have it.
Reply:the product is stripping out essential oils and drying out the skin on you chest , which is kind of normal, but not good for your skin. ask your doc for a gentler product or use lotion to help heal your damaged skin.
Reply:Stop using it, you are sensitive to it. To get rid of acne, you have to get to the root of what is causing it-congesting toxins in your body. Check out http://acnefreeindays.com to learn more about this.

People of WA and Queensland - do you want daylight saving?

I grew up in SA and always had it......I live in Perth now and sometimes think it would be so great here, with the balmy nights. All that crap about the cows being stressed out and people getting sunburned (Beattie you idiot), I think people are afraid of change.
People of WA and Queensland - do you want daylight saving?
I used to live in Perth, and voted against daylight saving in the last referendum. If I get back to WA in time for the referendum at the end of the current trial I will vote against it again. Why? Because, as one of the previous posters said, we have tried it before and rejected it before, so there really is no justification for yet another trial.

By the way, an argument against daylight saving in Perth that is about on a par with the arguments for it, is that the best time to swim, surf or generally enjoy the beach is before the seabreeze comes in. That means there are plenty of people who would prefer to go swimming or surfing before work rather than having extra daylight in the evening.
People of WA and Queensland - do you want daylight saving?

Reply:G'day again Richo

I totally agree (in fact I asked a similar question yesterday)!

I'm a Gold Coast resident and Daylight Savings is long overdue.

The farmers don't really have a logical arguement in my opinion. You go to bed an hour earlier, you get up an hour earlier - simple. The cows don't wear watches!

As for Beattie.......a total embarrasment on every level - so what can ya say?!?!
Reply:I live in the west and I was around the last time we had daylight saving and it was great . I live on the beach and it was great to finish work and still have plenty of sunshine to actually enjoy the beach .
Reply:Hmmm, I don't know about this. Up in Qld they say that the curtains will fade if they bring in Daylight savings. And, of course, if they open the curtains they'll all get skin cancer!!! What a joke.
Reply:Beattie was taking the piss, everyone needs to stop taking him so seriously!

The fact is everytime Daylight savings has gone to a vote in QLD we said we don't want it. Whether we generally have a good reason or not, well thats hard to say lol, but I don't really mind one way or the other.

But if there isn't a good reason that will benefit most people, well, whats the point?

Don't fix it if it ain't broke
Reply:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I spent the last two trials in WA feeling ill and stressed. It was way too hot travelling home from work on our (un-airconditioned) public transport, and so hot when i got home that I just lay around in a cold bath drinking ice water. Getting up at a different time just stuffed up my body clock totally, and I felt in slow mo for the entire summer both times.

Now I have two small children and I am really really dreading it and the effect it will have on them.

Seriously, with the UV risk as 9 right now and it's only September, the ozone layer hole the worst it's ever been, who NEEDS more sunlight?

Perhaps I should emigrate to QLD.
Reply:yes, but have it in winter when you need the extra hours light not in summer when its too strong at the tiem kids come home from school, farmers need to work etc
Reply:daylight saving was tried in queensland but the farmers complained too much.

the farmers complaind that the cows did not understand the difference in the time therefore they were always late for milking so they stopped daylight savings

also q.l.d.ers are so lazy that they couldnt be bothered to change their clocks
Reply:Lucretia.. I'm a Queenslander and we have got the sun!

the heat, and the hours of light that go with it!!!!

When will the southern states get over themselves with the emulation????? You don't have what we enjoy already,... and if it takes daylight saving to make you feel like you live in Queensland, then fine! no argument here! Sort it out amongst yourselves and leave us out of it!! Get in the car, with your family and drive...............

I agree with you ! (seen the light) so to speak!

Help! please! asap!?

i got a pretty bad sunburn ... how long til it fades back to my normal skin tone?? please help!!
Help! please! asap!?
a few days... no more than a week... you'll probably peel in about a week though... try to keep lotion or aloe on your skin, it'll help with the dryness and the pain
Help! please! asap!?
put on Aloe Vera, it helps cool down the burn and reduces the risk of peeling skin.

it may take some time before you go back to your normal skin tone, just for now, use aloe vera, it can help some.
Reply:i had the same problem- it was sunburned for like 5 days, and then the skin starting peeling for 2 more days, so it was about a week in total
Reply:couple of weeks at least, if it is that bad u will peel and make sure u dont get blister on the skin and that they dont infected if u do get blisters dont pop them and keep a good eye on them. take ibuprofen for the pain and rub your skin with a deep moisturizing lotion as right now your body is craving liquid and moisture so keep it moist and sit in a cool bath as this will relieve the pain...

Could I be pregnant?

I have been feeling very tired lately (but that could just be my sunburn).. and i am a 9 days late for my period, and my nipples really hurt! Could i be pregnant?
Could I be pregnant?
I don't think so
Could I be pregnant?
Since you are 9 days late then you could be pregnant or it is stress causing your period to be late.

Take a pregnancy test as soon as possible.

Go to http://www.peeonastick.com and good luck
Reply:9 days late isn't that bad, and nipples can be sensitive around period time.

Get a pregnency kit, some are really good and can pick it up early. Alternatively, a doctor could tell you.
Reply:Perhaps .... women show different signs of early stage pregnancy

Only one way to find out.... get the test!

I hope you get the result you are looking for
Reply:If you had sex without protection for sure! but, why you do not make a test... is easy.

it could be that you are under some kind of stress too. the nipples hurting could be caused by this period delay too. So better go the drugstore and buy a test.. and take out that doubt of your head.
Reply:YES!!!!! go to your physician just to be sure. A blood test may be too early to tell as well as a pregnancy test. Around 3 weeks things start to read positive or negative.
Reply:buy pregnant test kit,,,,,,,,,,,or do medical check up ,

did ur husband know it about this? or sugestions go to doctor or nurses ,congrats
Reply:i dont think so. it's not enough evidence to tell you're pregnant. having late monthly period could mean many things. it could be physiologic. stress could be a factor.
Reply:i think it's like a 50/50 chance. around the time of your period... you could experience soreness around your boobs. 9 days late isn't that big of a problem... but it's good enough so that you can take a pregnancy test. so i really really really recommend you go take one and you'll know for sure. it doesn't cost that much and it's really easy. my friend and bf helped me did mines LOL. so just try that. try not to worry neither... the more stressed you are the slower your period's going to come if you're not pregnant. good luck though!
Reply:late period may always mean pregnancy. otherwise, in ur case it can be ur sunburn side-effect, especially if it was really bad.
Reply:you could be but go out and buy two different test, first response and ept. those will definitely tell you if you are pregnant.
Reply:You may be pregnant !!

but maybe not have you had sex recently ?

My period's are very irregular sometimes two weeks late, but I am quite promiscuous, when I am late my nipples get very tender just before my period arrives

but you shouldn't rely on our answers this is a important thing in your life

go to the chemist and buy a pregnancy testing kit take it home pee on it it takes about 5 min ( I have done it loads of times)

good luck and I hope you get the result you hope for
Reply:take a test that the only to find out....

Is there sunblock for the scalp?

I have really thin hair, and whenever I go out into the sun for a long period of time my scalp gets sunburned. Is there any sunblock for the scalp?
Is there sunblock for the scalp?
yes, i don't remember who makes it but it comes in a spray bottle that you can spray on your hair. i'll see if i can find the name...

**it was banana boat but they don't make it anymore. i included a link to a bunch of others. hope this helps!
Is there sunblock for the scalp?
I'm not sure if there is a spray for your scalp. You might want to use a hat while your out in the sun to prevent skin damage.

Dark patches on face due to years of sun?

how do I get rid of these patches- i have tried lightening creams and fade creams. Also I have been wearing sunscreen for years and currently wear an spf of 45.These are an accumulation of years sun exposure- not a tan or sunburn
Dark patches on face due to years of sun?
Avon has a great product that has worked for me... my mom has also used it with great success. :)

If you ask a rep. you can find out what its called, because I cannot remember!

If that does not work for you, go to a dermatologist - they have lots of products for this... one is by Obage' Blue I think is the name of it.

I got my 2nd tatto about a month ago i have some ?'s?

ok i got a tattoo on the inside of my ankle well i got it about a month ago and for somereason it looks like its all wrinkly i dont know if thats normal or not and you know when you get a bad sunburn and you start to peel well im peeling around the edges of my tattoo on the skin that wasnt tattooed on, is that normal as well?? i dont know if its bc my body is healing differently i dont know but i need some advice
I got my 2nd tatto about a month ago i have some ?'s?
That is normal.

I depends where your tatoo is.

I have three tatoos and the third one was like yours.

Use a lot of Lotion -- don't be tempted to pull at the skin.

I waited it out, now it is fine.
I got my 2nd tatto about a month ago i have some ?'s?
Kepp it loitioned up, eventually the dry skin will fall off.
Reply:Go see your tattoo artist. That is the best advice I can give you. Or go here for more information:

http://www.tattooinfo.net/Scripts/defaul...
Reply:It's normal, mine did too on my wrist, I believe it's b/c of the placement, just DON'T scratch or over medicate.
Reply:I've heard people say that this happens, just keep putting cream on it and when it heals it will be fine. Good luck.
Reply:You are just fine, sweetie! When you get a tattoo, you bleed. It's scabbing that is peeling and wrinkling up. Don't fret! Just keep it lubricated with lotion, neosporin, etc and make sure to clean it at least once a day. That crusty skin is going to come off on it's own leaving a beautiful tattoo afterward. :)
Reply:I have a couple tattoo's and that sounds fairly normal. All of my tattoo's peeled though they usually did that between month 1 and 2. It is normal for the skin around the tat itself to peel as you have killed a lot of skin cells with the tattoo. As far as the wrinkly effect, not quite sure. The tattoo will bubble some and get wavy but that is usually before it scabs over. There is a book at the library called "tattoo's and you" that will help alot. Good luck.
Reply:Contact the place where you had your tattoo done at also you can use Curel lotion just keep putting lotion on it %26amp; don't pick at it %26amp; in time it will heal but if you are unsure call the tattoo place %26amp; ask
Reply:You should get pure vitamin E. All the local paharmacies sell them in a bottle and rub it on the tattoo 3 times a day for about a week. it helps the tattoo keeps its color you should start seeing the skin heal in about 3 days or so. After that, use aveeno lotion, that is really good for you skin. DO NOT scratch for any reason on or around the tattoo. It should work. You can always put on the vitamin E because it also really good for the skin keep moisture. My second tattoo is near near my pevic bone and it happen to me too. Don't worry about it.
Reply:Well, the wrinkled looking part of the tattoo is a healing process. When i got my second set of tattoos, i began to peel, and have a wrinkled looking affect to my back, than i went back to my tattoo guy, and he said that it was a healing process. Than he said to put some carmax (lip treatment) on it because, it is for cracking skin, so i did and it worked. the healing process went faster, and the wrinkled look went away and the peeling also went away. Just do not peel it off...
Reply:The same thing happened to me with the one I got on the inside of my ankle. It got better after a while, but it took longer to heal than my other ones. Just be patient.
Reply:its normal. the skin will peel all around the tattoo and turn into a scab and flake off. i don't think you have anything to worry about.
Reply:It's normale. Keep Vaseline on your tattoo and keep it moist .

No need to worry.

Tattoo Timing?

If I got a tattoo on the same day as what I have to go to work... is this going to be possible? I understand it will be painful (apparently like a bad sunburn) but will I still be able to work? (I am a waitress.)
Tattoo Timing?
dont let work ever get in the way of what you want to do in your spair time go get your tattoo you will be fine at work

i dont know who told you getting a tattoo is like bad sunburn its no where near as bad it is like 1 tenth the pain of a bee sting i should know i have over 40 hours of tattooing on my body
Tattoo Timing?
The size, location, and colors of your tattoo will decide that. You are better off, in my humble opinion, waiting until you have a day or two to let it heal a little so it does not bleed colors into your work clothes. I have six tattoos in various locations and I noticed they were easier to care for on days off but you can manage work with them just as easily if you prepare for it. As far as the pain it is similar to a sunburn except while the are performing the tattoo. That hurts like the dickens until your endorphins kick in and ease the pain some.
Reply:Sure you can depending on where you get the tattoo, but whats the rush personally I book in to get mine when I'm off work for a couple of days. Not because of the pain more so I don't knock it. if its a small tatt you will hardly notice. hope that helps. Think carefully about what you want I have five and love them all all though my first could be better but that's what you get when you do it on a whim at 16 lol. look into tatt artists see the sort of work they have done before, never be pressured into getting something your unsure of.

Bright blessings to you Fim
Reply:You should still be able to work as far as physically able to move and such. Unless you cannot stand to be in pain at all. But most tattoo artist recomend you wear a bandage afterwards for about 24 hrs and keep ointment on your new tattoo all the time for about a week or until it heals. So that means appliying ointment every 2 or 3 hours.

The real question is will you have the chance to reapply oinment and possibly change the bandage every few hours while you work? Also is your tattoo going to be in a place where the bandage will also be able to be hidden? And if your work outfit is going to rub on your tattoo, you will be miserable!

A%26amp;D ointment is the best by the way, Neosporin can draw some of the ink out and cause the ink to have a smeared effect sometimes, with some people. As long as you wash it with antibacterial soap and keep your hands and anything coming in contact with it clean, you should be free from infection.
Reply:good question. i am also a waitress and i got my **** tattooed 12 hours before work. it sucks. you'll be in pain. simply put. no colors, area, or size will make a difference and trust me, my fiance is a respected artist and he says its going to be uncomfortable no matter the circumstances.

good luck
Reply:As long as it is covered while you work, it shouldn't be a problem. Get yourself some good quality burn gauzes - you can get the type that don't stick to the wound. This will keep your new tat protected from the elements %26amp; also moist for the duration of the healing. I use a cream that is designed for nappy rash - Bepanthen - excellent stuff!!
Reply:Nopes, it's really not THAT bad. Depending on whether the area you'd gotten the tatt on is going to be constant friction (clothing, etc) you'll most probably be able to go back to work on the same day.
Reply:a tattoo on your back should be fine. i have never gone to work the same day i had a tattoo because i usually get tattooed after work or on my day off but many times i have gone to work the very next day. good luck!
Reply:It will be quite sore on the back because everytime you move the skin will stretch. Especially being a waitress you have to do a lot of movement. I would just try and schedule your regular time off in a week together (like request your two days off a week together) after a couple days you shouldn't have any problem. I might just be a wuss, but I would say it will be quite a bit worse than a sunburn.
Reply:I got one on my stomach and went to work a few hours later. At that time, I worked on a farm, so I had to move around alot. You are supposed to keep ointment on it, so you would have to make time to do that while at work.
Reply:Nicole -

I've answered a couple of your question about your tattoo and since I know what you are getting let me say you'll be stiff. I can't remember if I ever found out if you were going vertical or horizontal on your spine. You won't be in pain, but you'll be uncomfortable since as a waitress I would think you will be lifting, etc.

I think since you are just doing lettering you will probably be ok. My outline wasn't so bad - it wasn't until the fill in that it was more uncomfortable to move.

Actually, the day of will most likely be easier than when it starts to heal more. My biggest issue has been the itching and it being hard to reach in some spots to put on the lotion! Good luck! I'm sure you'll be fine. Glad you decided to go for it.

Side effect of light chemical peel?

About a month ago I had a light chemical peel. My face responded normally, according to the aesthetician and from what I read on the web beforehand. However, my forehead has been breaking out somewhat ever since. It isn't horrible or anything, but it's noticeable, especially in the sunlight. This isn't acne, per se, but slightly raised bumps that just won't seem to go away. I noticed that when I was heeling from the peel that my forehead responded differently from the rest of my face. There was more peeling, and it looked more 'sunburned' and shiny immediately afterward. I'm wondering if the chemical peel caused me to begin breaking out on my forehead or whether it is just a coincidence, since I've not heard of this as a side effect. I have combination skin, incidentally, with an oily t-zone. I use no other products than Dove sensitive skin because I tend to respond to anything else with an irritation. Any remedies, or suggestions (other than not having another chemical peel)? Thanks.
Side effect of light chemical peel?
there is no side effects

provided you avoid sun light
Side effect of light chemical peel?
I had a chemical peel and i developed an allergy after that. Dont touch it and get a cream from ur dermatologist. It might take a week or so before it completely disappears. Dont worry its perfectly ok.

Red cheeks?

I HATE my red cheeks! I never know what to do! Whenever im @ my house or around my family im fine and my cheeks look normal. but when im at school teachers and friends tell me that my cheeks are red or that i look like i have been sunburnt. I have heard to use green make-up but that just dries out my face with many other powders and cover-ups. I need help! what should i use!!
Red cheeks?
well i know exactly what your talking about because i have the same problem!!! i actually dont use anything. i just go into the girls bathroom and take some cold water and put it all on my face. and if u wear make-up then just take the make-up that you applied at home to school and re-apply it at school after the water!
Red cheeks?
use liquid foundation ..it wont dry up your skin like dry powder and it'll cover up your red cheeks..
Reply:ok so u have a little problem, and its not a big one, actually its better than having a zit, i can tell u that. but anyway, use the liguid cover up stuff , it prob. wont dry up your face and it will only puy on i light coloring over top of your cheeks so u hav pink cheeks, trust me it will work.:)
Reply:you can try something with soy in it to calm your skin down..the green is out don't try it, it also makes you look like your sick..try Aveeno because they use a lot of soy in their products which helps inflamation..if you want a cover up use a mineral type of makeup like Neutrogena Mineral Sheers..their lightweight and inexpensive and you can put them in your purse if you need to..my cousin has red cheeks and she uses this makeup, she really loves it so its worth a try :)
Reply:iwould use a liquid foundation and then you can even use bronzer or powder over that.
Reply:Okay.

Well, before you put on the green cover-up, try using a moistureizer that will increase the oil in your skin. Then, follow with a powder foundation. Don't use liquid foundation, because that would just cancel out the green cover-up and move it around. Then, use a translucent powder. Since your cheeks are red, after using the cover-up and foundation, your cheeks will show through it all as a pink. In order to look glamourous, use the translucent powder to add a sheek sparkle that will make it look like you do have a gorgeous shade of blush on.

Instead of people asking you if you are sunburnt, they will ask you where you get that amazing shade of blush. You will get to reply with,"That's just my natural skin tone."

Also...

make sure you do use the green cover-up. not a normal color that is your skin tone.

Green is opposite to red on the color weel, making it cancel out.
Reply:It's usually only fatties and gingers that have red cheeks. If you are one of the above, you have bigger problems (like being the scum of the earth, for example).
Reply:I suggest using a good foundation that matches the rest of your face.
Reply:omg i have the same exact problem...i hate it!! anyway, i like Dior Red Correcting Cream, it's a light green cream, that won't dry out face, plus it lasts a long time and it doesn't cause breakouts either. feels very natural! after add on a loose powder makeup, like bare escentuals, to finish the look, this won't make skin dry either, cuz it's very light. hope this helped, good luck!
Reply:You may have rosacea or another skin problem, so you should probably see a dermatologist. I know a couple of people who have the same problem. I would recommend that you use a mineral makeup so that you don't irritate your skin. Try Neutrogena or Physicians Formula, or spend more and get Bare Minerals. I know that some makeup brands sell color-correcting primers. Smashbox has a green one to counter redness.
Reply:I just discovered this last week and i PROMISE you, you will see a difference!

Buy AVEENO ULTRA CALMING MOISTURIZER (the spf kind OR regular) and apply twice a day...AM and PM. You will see a difference in 2 days i bet.

My cheeks are really really red always and it stopped in 2 days after this stuff!!

SPF 15, whenever I use this I get little bumps all over my skin, as though I am allergic to it.?

I have tried many brands, but always the same results. Any suggestions other than staying indoors? I would rather be sunburnt than put up with these itchy spots. They are like tiny little blisters, thousands of them.
SPF 15, whenever I use this I get little bumps all over my skin, as though I am allergic to it.?
you r allergic to the paba most likely as it is an ingrediant in all sunblocks. try using just zinc ointment/cream. but b careful until c if itll top u from getting burnt. its good for some and not others
SPF 15, whenever I use this I get little bumps all over my skin, as though I am allergic to it.?
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. I wish I knew what to tell you, but it happens to me too. I would guess that we are sensitive to some ingredient. I'm putting your question on my watch list, and starring it, in the hope that somebody knows an answer; I'm REALLY fair-skinned and can't be outdoors without sunscreen!!!
Reply:All i can say is to keep trying different kinds until it doesn't happen. If you can't find one go to your dermatologists and they should be able to help you guys find one that will work for you.
Reply:yeah those who tend to have whitter pigment then other tend to be allergic or sensitive to alot more then others.

If you break out in hives or they itch then im guessing you are probably allergic to that specific lotion. If you are not itching then it could be something totally different. usually itching results in an allergy to something. I would read then ingredients to ones that you broke out to and the ones that you may not have reactions to and find out what you are allergic to. other then that i cant help much sorry.
Reply:ur probably allergic to paba(something lots of sunscreens have in em) neutrogena has sunblock that has no paba

Why is my skin peeling???

a couple days after i went to the beach i got a little sunburned on my back. then my nose and forehead skin started peeling a tiny bit then it stopped after a couple days. then the skin on my shoulders started peeling. it doesnt hurt. skin skin where it peeled is now white compared to my tanned skin. why is this happening? once i got back to america it stopped. what can i do to keep it from peeling?
Why is my skin peeling???
Maybe you are losing a suntan.
Why is my skin peeling???
Just let it peal, it is dead skin that is why it is peeling. No reason to worry, your fine.
Reply:use lots of aloe vera or just regular sun tan lotion...that ought to do the trick, i always peel when i get burnt
Reply:The best way to keep from peeling is to not get burned. You burned the skin in those areas and it died. Use sun screen prior to getting in the sun and moisturizer after.
Reply:You need it to peel because that's the burnt skin that's trying to come off. It's unhealthy to keep it on your skin, let it flake off. In fact, try scraping it off with a pumice stone. If you let the skin stay on, then the mutated skin cells could metasize and skin cancer can be next. Just use aloe vera to help with the burn.
Reply:one word SUNSCREEN!
Reply:you need to wear sun block. Trust me, it's totally normal. The outside layer have been burned and our falling off for the new skin to come to the surface. It will go away eventually. But don't keep peeling your skin because if you keep peeling it it's going to leave a scar or it will start hurting reeally bad.
Reply:use a a aloevera lotion
Reply:next time you go sunbathing, apply more suncream! but all you can do now to help your skin is to apply lots of body-lotion, moisterizer etc. hope this helps :)
Reply:it is a symtome of a first degree burn (sunburn) the skin dries out and the outer layer which is already a dead layer forms another dry dead layr underneath. this causes the most outer dead layr to peel off. do not worry this is perfectly normal. to keep this from happening during the day when you are around people, use aloe. avoid rubbing it or messing with it.
Reply:because you got *burned* and your body is shedding the dead skin so it can heal.
Reply:The sun dried out your skin!

Gray/brown patches after sun?

a few years ago i got a second degree sunburn on my back/shoulders/arms/chest and since then i'm really careful about sun exposure and always wearing sunscreen. i have, i guess, scarring from the burn i had. there is what looks like a tan line, but it's just been there for years. it's been a long time since i've been in the sun for a long period of time. but today i decided i'd take a swim. i only let myself stay outside for around 40-45 minutes, and i put on sunscreen. i come inside and my skin looks awful. my skin that was previously burned was a lot darker than the skin that wasn't. there are tiny raised white bumps, and in the area between them the skin has tanned a great deal for such a short time. and then on my back there are large brown/gray patches that are pretty dark and noticable. ahh! what is this?! should i be worried?
Gray/brown patches after sun?
Yes, you should be worried. Go see your doctor or a dermatologist right away so that you can get tested for skin cancer and other skin diseases.
Gray/brown patches after sun?
I would see a skin doctor - but not worry too much,,,, it most likely is just damage done from the previous burn, but better safe than sorry

Does the acne prescription BenzaClin work?

I was recently prescribed it for a mild case of acne, and since it's summer I do not want to get sunburn, but I also want to get a good tan. My doctor said this is not possible considering I'll be on BenzaClin which will force me to use high SPF and shield my face. (there goes my summer!) Any advice on still getting a great NATURAL tan (not selftanner) and having the clear skin? And does the prescription work?
Does the acne prescription BenzaClin work?
If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

Oh, by the way the site that helped me is:

Does the acne prescription BenzaClin work?
I'm not sure about tanning, but I used Benzaclin along with the antiboitc Minocyclin once a day for 3 months and it did not clear my skin. I had a mild case as well. But everyones skin is different. I have very oily acne prone skin.
Reply:not really but the best thing that really works in 2 days its gone is toothpast w/ baking soda in it (crest) and mix it with nutrogena's acne on the spot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Reply:im not to sure about benzachlin. but there is a great acne article here you might like to look at has some really good tips on how to deal with acne and scaring
Reply:I used Bezaclin and it worked fine (I've also used Retin A ... I was in beauty pageants ..) and to be quite honest .. you can go to the nearest KMart or Target and buy Benzoyl Peroxide (gel) at 10% and get the same effects without the perscription! I learned THAT after 6 years of being on perscp. medications! Also, same goes with sun ... if you want to keep a clear face, the sun isn't going to help ... the self-tanners are about all you can do to acheive color without the damage .... I use the Avon self tanners (I've tried them all) and love the results .. the one for the face works great too : )

How long till your skin goes back to normal color after peeling?

ok i just got a a sunburn on my shoulders and now im peeling... its not a bad peel and its the first time i have ever peeled how long will it take!
How long till your skin goes back to normal color after peeling?
Peeling skin is a normal part of having stayed in the sun too long. Three days and you won't be a walking advertisement that getting sunburn is dangerous and can result in skin cancer decades later. Use a good tanning creme next time and you won't burn or peel. Just a healthy glow.

How long should i tan?

i had sunburn, and my skin peeled, well not all.but i have to be tan before school starts so is it ok to tan right now?my skin doesn't hurt, only peeling at chest area.will it make it worser?
How long should i tan?
You really shouldn't tan at all as any sun exposure, or sun burn increases your risk of getting skin cancer when you get older. However, I know for many people this fact will not stop them from tanning so my recommendation to you is to keep your chest area moisturized so the peeling stops, and tan in spurts of a few minutes at a time outside. If you do get a sunburn keep it moisturized to prevent peeling.

If you are tanning in a tanning salon keep in mind that 20-30 minutes in a tanning bed is the equivalent of 8 full hours outside in the sun. Use a tanning lotion before tanning to help prevent burning and promote a darker, longer lasting tan. Keep any burn you notice moisturized.

There are outdoor tanning lotions available at stores. If you are going to be tanning outside it wouldn't hurt to purchase one of these to use before tanning out doors once again to prevent burning and promote a darker longer lasting tan.

Hope this helps. :-)
How long should i tan?
DON'T TAN AT ALL.

IT'S BAD FOR YOU, in case you haven't heard.

Just use self-tanners - those lotions you apply that helps you gradually build a fake tan over time.
Reply:Ever heard of skin cancer???? the younger you start the more chance you have to get it!, if you really want a tan get a fake one!

Reply:if you must tan about twenty min. a day
Reply:all out , dont worry skin cancer is overrated i suggest tanning on your roof
Reply:yea ive been doing the same thing because i want a nice tan for when i go back 2 school...i tan for about an hour a day. and as for getting skin cancer, my opinion is that the people who get it are the freaks that go to tanning beds like 3 times a week, not people who only do it casually in the summer. but thats just my theory

I just put elmers glue all over my nose, was this a bad idea?

ok, well the thing is, i had sunburn on my nose, and the skin was like peeling off a little and it was driving me crazy, sooooo 4 some reason i thought it would be a good idea to put glue on my face! buuuuuuuuuuut now its starting to burn...........am i gona die???
I just put elmers glue all over my nose, was this a bad idea?
You'll just look like Michael Jackson!
I just put elmers glue all over my nose, was this a bad idea?
you wont die but will be in pain
Reply:wash/peel of the glue.. your not going to die.. not the brightest idea though.. for a peeling nose if you must peel it.. or use tweezers.. maybe something like a little rubbing achohol but be careful with ANYTHING NEAR YOUR EYES!!!!!!!!
Reply:umm yeah really stupid idea but i don't think you will die
Reply:No ur not going to die wash it off.
Reply:it will irritate you skin
Reply:no lol it may burn because the sunburn but just wash the glue off.
Reply:That's O.K. I snorted some root-b-gone septic system cleaner crap. That **** nearly killed me
Reply:Oookay then, get that stuff off your face right now, no you wont die, the chemicals in the glue are just iriiatating your already sensative skin. Yes that was a bad idea, next time just use a bit of scotch tape if you must.
Reply:You should have stuck a ball to it. That would have been funny. :)

No, you are not gonna die. Wash it off.
Reply:Go get a warm wet wachcloth and gently wipe it off.
Reply:omg . lmao . sorry but glue lol. i mistook tooth paste and heat rub once i used a heat rub omg did it burn.
Reply:A really bad idea would have been to put superglue on your nose. At least Elmer's will peel right off. My daughter had a friend that enjoyed putting Elmer's on her skin so she could peel it off - so I know it comes off pretty easy. But it will not help your sunburn - or peeling skin. A moisturizer or lotion might help tho.It isn't a good idea to put lotion or moisturizer on a new burn, but once it is in the peeling stage it should be fine.
Reply:Ya--that was a bad idea! lol....but NO ur not gonna die! its just glue on ur nose!! it might hurt trying to get it off..but u will survive...i promise....try to be as gentle as possible when taking it off....good luck with that! :)
Reply:You won't die but you probably made the damage worse. For sunburn, wet a regular caffeinated tea mag and pat the drippings all over your nose for a while. It will help- after you get rid of the glue.
Reply:Well I don't think your gonna die but I don't think glue was the right decision to make for sunburn.Next time try a little aloe and wait the peel out it's not that bad to have a peeling nose for a day or two.Try using some hot soapy water to get it off.
Reply:it'll make your nose soft as a baby
Reply:This is not the best idea, but it will work until you wash the glue off.

Dont do this again after that!

What's a really good way to get RID of STRETCH MARKS?

All the way thru my pregnancy I had ABSOLUTLY NO STRETCH MARKS! Then when I was about 9 months pregnant, my husband and I went to the beach and I got a sunburned. When we started to peel, it started itching on my belly where I got burned, which led to scratching which led to strech marks, I have about 7 total stretch marks, any good ways to get rid of them?! THANKS!
What's a really good way to get RID of STRETCH MARKS?
Stretch marks are almost permanent scars that you can lighten, but not get rid of. If they are red, Mederma may work, but if they are the white embedded ones, there is not much you can do for them. I had them with my last pregnancy, and I ended up getting a tummy tuck which removed all the stretch marks below the belly button. Cocoa Butter and vitamin E are said to rid of them, but i think you have to use it everyday BEFORE the chance of stretch marks appear. Good Luck!!

Vitamin E works good also mederma works good.

How can I get rid of stretch marks?

Surgical methods

Lotions and creams

Diet and exercise

Unfortunately, skin will not bounce back in its pure state if it's been stretched by rapid growth due to pregnancy, weight gain, or extreme weight loss. Instead, it becomes decorated by a form of scarring called stretch marks, or striae. Stretch marks often start off as reddish or purplish in color, then become glossy skin that appears streaked in silver or white.

Stretch marks occur in the dermis, the elastic middle layer of skin that allows it to retain its shape. However, when constantly stretched, the dermis can break down leaving behind stretch marks.

Men and women can get stretch marks on several areas of their bodies, including the abdominal area, thighs, hips, breasts, upper arms or lower back.

What Can I Do About Stretch Marks?

There are several treatment options for stretch marks. If you are serious about dealing with unwanted stretch marks, it's best to be in the care of a surgeon or dermatologist who can recommend your best options. He or she will take a detailed medical history, including medications you are taking. Some medications can cause stretch marks, and it is very important to be open and honest with your doctor. Those medications include hormones and steroids.

Surgical Methods

Dermabrasion or chemical peel can be used to address unwanted stretch marks, and there are new advances in laser surgeries. The degree of success with any treatment will be impacted by your age, your skin tone and even your diet. It's important to note that insurance coverage probably will not cover stretch mark removal because it is a cosmetic procedure (even if the stretch marks are particularly severe).

Lotions and Creams

There are plenty over-the-counter treatments for stretch marks. If you are a woman who is pregnant and you are concerned with stretch marks, let your physician know you want to begin preventative treatment before your stomach starts growing. Often, your physician can recommend creams.

Diet and Exercise

Make sure you are maintaining healthy skin! Mama always told you to drink plenty of water. Maybe she knew this: it helps prevent stretch marks, too! Proper water intake keeps your skin soft and less likely to develop stretch marks. Caffeine can increase your risk of stretch marks. If you're stuck on your caffeinated coffee or tea, make sure you balance the fluids. Drink just as much - or more - water as you drink coffee, tea or soda.

Remember, stretch marks can also result from nutritional deficiency. Be sure to consume foods that promote skin health.

Zinc-rich foods such as nuts or fish

Foods high in vitamins A, C, D, such as carrots, citrus fruits and milk.

Protein-rich foods (such as eggs).

Reply:From personal experience they do lighten with time but using vitamin E oil and cocoa butter helps with the healing. Tanning helps them to not appear red. I have had three children and after about a year they do lighten a lot. I hope this helps.
Reply:Use vitamin E oil. If used long enough they shall fad. I myself think that stretch marks are sexy on a woman. I love those little flaws. It keeps things real. If your man truly loves you, he will love your flaws. Good luck.- Feel free to e-mail me.- ERICK

Ortho Evra question....?

Well, I had sunburn and unfortunately put my patch on top of it, its half way off........what are my chances of getting pregnant if I don't replace that patch? Is it still protecting me half off?
Ortho Evra question....?
I would call your gynecologist immediately and ask the nurse that answers the phone. They can give you advice over the phone and not charge you for it. I would not have unprotected sex until you get the answer from the nurse.
Ortho Evra question....?
you might end up having... half a baby... hehe, nah your fine, just put your next patch on when its time.
Reply:Well first of all if you had a sunburn why would you put on your patch over it, its not a band-aid. Second you should find a better spot next time. Use some sunblock too.

Is a mild tan alright?

So I was out this weekend and I got a sunburn on my face and my mom kept talking about skin cancer, how I should have worn sunscreen (I was out for about 20 minutes). I never realy try to get a tan (usually avoid it) and wear sun screen when I remember but at the end of the summer I usually have a mild tan. Is this raising my risks for skin cancer or should I be fine?
Is a mild tan alright?
don't do it. ur asking for trouble girl!!!
Is a mild tan alright?
I hate to say it, but your mom is right. My little brother was diagnosed with Melanoma when he was 8 years old. Had surgery and chemo-all of that scary stuff. He is now 17 and doing great. Last week I was told that my aunt Jenn was diagnosed with Melanoma. It was horrible to hear. You might be thinking that it is hereditary, but she is not a blood relative to me or my brother. Please do not tan whether it be outside or in a booth and remember even if it looks cloudy outside, you should still wear sunscreen. I know that when you are tan you look better, but imagine how great you will look when you are older and have awesome skin!

Reply:Go to your doctor or a dermatologist and get some perscription creams
Reply:the same as facail acne, there is no one cure

try a facial wash made for acne-proactiv is great

continue to drink lots of water, it clears out your systemn and prevents your pores from cloging as much

exfoliate with sugar in the shower-this will remove surface dirt preventing acne

never sit in the sun without sunscreen! It makes any skin problem 100% worse!

never use suntan oils-it cloges pores majorly

there is no one cure for acne but there are ways to reduce it. you will most likely grow out of it sooner or later.

Dont give up on one treatment, it takes a while for any efforts to work

Is it normal for tattoos to be very red after a day and a half?

Got my first tatoo yesterday, great experience--very little pain. However, last night sometime it started burning much like a sunburn, it's located on my hip and got stuck to my pants and I had to pry it off. I just figured this was a normal part of the healing process but today the burning sensation has lasted the whole day and when I went to look at it just now, it is very puffy and red extending two inches all around the tattoo. I've been following the after-care instructions and applying a fragrance-free lotion which only makes the area more red. Not sure if I'm having some sort of allergic reaction or possibly getting an infection(if so, what's the next step?) or if this is just a normal part of the healing process. I've looked on the internet and found mixed information, any help would be appreciated :)
Is it normal for tattoos to be very red after a day and a half?
The first thing to consider is if the tattoo is hot to the touch. Use the back of your hand and see if it feels hot. Infections usually show up within the first 36 hours. An infection is usually shown as a reddish purple area around the tattoo, very hot to the touch, and irritated. However, without seeing it it is hard to see if your tattoo isnt jsut irritated from being stuck to your pants. Go see your artist for sure if it hasnt gone down within the next day. They willbe able to give oyu the most accurate information because they are specifically trained for it.

If the lotion is what is irritating it STOP using it. Don't put anything on it. Overdoing it can be worse than anything. putting nothign on your tattoo can heal it jsut fine. Make sure you leave it uncovered and let it breathe.

Allergic reactions to the ink usually show up as only on whatever colour you have a reaction to. It is possible you are having an allergic reaction to your lotion. Any petroleum product eg bactracin or neosporin is not suitable for tattoo healing (it even says so on the box) and can cause a very irritated tattoo.
Is it normal for tattoos to be very red after a day and a half?
i just got a tattoo yesterday too..and mine isnt doing anything like that but i am washing mine 6 times a day..
Reply:it's just your body's way of protesting. Keeping it clean is the primary concern; and I've found that using bacatracin works best.
Reply:dont use lotion. try some vitamin e ointment. stuff works good. and normal for some redness and puffyness. keep it moist, dont pick at the scabs. if it doesnt get better in a couple days see a doc. there are also some stuff specifically made for tats, but hard to fine. most tat shops carry it.
Reply:you shud try using Neosporin...thats what i used and it healed pretty fast and you should try cleaning it atleast 3 times a day considering you the fact that you are covering it up with jeans and Dial would be a good cleaning soap. Let me know if it gets better =]
Reply:yes it is very normal. i got one about 4 months ago of a indain banner with feathers hanging down and roses that vine around the banner that has my daughters names in it and it turn bet red for a few day put a little cream on it for the first to day to keep the skin soft and it will start filling better.
Reply:Well, fact being that you TORE the scabs off, that would be a big factor to it being red and puffy. Try wearing skirts and no underwear until the scabs are gone completely, I had to do this with my 5 hip tattoos I have so far every time I had it done so the scabs wouldn't pull out and take ink with it.

The burning is most likely from raw, irritated skin...remember you did just get a set of needles pushed into your skin a few hundred times a minute to get that ink into your flesh.

Use Dial antibacterial soap, and try not to use your body wash over it in the shower because the scented body wash can irritate your fresh tattoo.

Don't use neosporin, it tends to fade the ink out of tattoos. Instead look for H2Ocean, it's an antibacterial, antifungal after tattoo care that keeps it clean and won't irritate at all and is the BEST I've found so far from what I've used.

Ladies? i need help?
The brown spots are damaged skin...you need to see a dermatologist...trust me on this. You may very well have a form of melanoma.
Ladies? i need help?
nope !!!!! sorry babe but ur stuck with em, did u ever see the soltan ad?! well thats what you got on your shoulders !!!
Reply:i would go to a dermotologist, and ask for something that would either make the spots go away, or effectively cover them up
Reply:no be careful
Reply:See a dermatologist
Reply:go to Nordstrom, they have bleaching creams that remove freckles and brown spots. you have to be careful with them, but they work like a charm when you use them right. :)
Reply:I think you should talk to a dermatologist about getting some cremes that could cover up these marks

you shouldnt have to live your life in hiding!
Reply:GO to the doctors and ask for medicine. and use shea butter
Reply:Don't bother much about the condition, be happy as you are.
Reply:well u could cover it up with makeup.im not sher how to help.sorry.
Reply:You should accept yourself for who you are and realize that you are beautiful as you are. As for the spots I would talk to a doctor first.
Reply:u got SKIN CANCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THATS BAD U CAN DIE
Reply:sounds like perm sun damage to me babe... sorry... i would recommend talking with a skin care consultant, just set up a consultation with one (usually free) and c wat they have to say. take it wit the grain of salt though, nothing is set in stone....
Reply:Gurl don't worry bout it! but if u really don't like it try cocoa butter or banishing creme it's helps get rid of dark spots on your bod! Also please remember ur beautiful no matter what others might think!
Reply:You have what is called "sunspots". Go visit a doctor so you can get medicated. My dad has this. And dont get a tatoo. If anything is unattractive, its ink inside ur body.....so just visit a doctor. Hope you get better!

Avon has a dark spot remover

Banishing Cream Skin Discoloration Lightener

http://shop.avon.com/avonshop/default.as...
Reply:You can go to a dermatologist and have them removed with a lazer. (why can't i spell that word) just to lazy to get the dictionary.
Reply:Honey, tatoos are a big NO. They are a bit trashy and you will really regret it later in life.

We recommend going to a dermatologist to have those spots checked out. The spots may be a skin condition. The dermatologist may be able to recommend or prescribe something to help. You might even want to consider laser resurfacing. Good luck!

Concerned,

The ShoeBitches
Reply:i'd say to put make up over it. try not to put a tattoo just to cover it up unless u r really that desperate. take a cool shower (not cold or hot) until it starts to go away. if those brown spots won't go away, u can go talk to a doctor and they might give you some treatment for it.

tip: try putting on sun lotion every 30 minuntes when u r using it. also use the sports kind because the lotion tends to stay on ur skin longer than regular ones.

hope this helps
Reply:I think that aelo vera might help. recovers sunburns. its good for skin problems.
Reply:srry if this sounds mean....but honey get over yourself....its your SHOULDER trust me noone is going to be examining them anytime soon....i have them too it comes from sunpoising....and the "brown spots" are called frekels....just deal wth them some people will even think that they are cute....my bf does...dont obsess about them and you will forget they are even there.

I have pale skin.?

I have pale skin. Really pale. People in my class call me 'Albino' they say i wear contacts and dye my hair so i look normal. I cant tan or i sunburn. Im 11 years old in 6th grade. Please, help.
I have pale skin.?
I HAVE GREAT ADVICE!! I have pale skin too and what I do when I go swimming or on vacation to the beach is: I put on sunscreen about every hour so I don't burn. Then over that I apply a small amount of maui babe tanning oil. After about a week it really helps. But if it's winter then you should definately try a bronzer or if you have a LUSH store then they have some really cool bronzer lotion bars and other stuff like that!

GOOD LUCK!!!

BEST ANSWER?!
I have pale skin.?
Well I would use Jergens Daily Glow to give you a natural slight tan since you're so pale. It is really helpful!
Reply:bronzer

or some tanning lotion.

lol
Reply:I agree with the other posters, bronzer would be best I think, cause it's just when you are around people at school, just don't use too much of it or it can look pretty goofy.
Reply:i have da same problem but ima 14 (almost 15) and hav frekles i use jergens natural glow it helps alot (get da medium it works bttr fo lite skinned ppl) rub it in real good tho hope it helps good luk!
Reply:Do not use fake tans! You will look like an auburn Oompa Loompa and they'll get *way* more mileage out of that fake orange tan than they will if you stay normal. Don't believe me? Watch an episode of MTV's "Made" where an orangey-tan girly-girl gets made into a rugby player.
Reply:So? I'm like white out. I love it. You should feel lucky because many many years ago, ladies powdered themselves all over so they could be lighter. It was believed that when a woman's skin was light, she was wealthy because she never worked in the fields and darkened. If you are going to use the fake-and-bake method, watch what you use. I tried it once and I looked like an orange and white zebra. Creamsicle zebra, anyone? It made me appreciate my color.
Reply:First of all you need to tell them kids that if you were "Albino" your hair would not change colors, because when your "Albino" your hair and skin has no pigment! that means even if you dye your hair a thousand times it ain't gonna work!

if you have to tell to look it up!!!

if you want to darken you skin i suggest you use jergens Glow!

But us pale girls already look good, so i suggest you just tell the kids at school to stop being jealous, cuz you know your beautiful!!!
Reply:Use tanning lotion/ spray for ur body.

Bronzer for ur face
Reply:If you're really as pale as I think you are, red blush wouldn't look good at all! I suggest, for your face, wear a soft pink blush. For the rest of your skin, wear sunscreen. You'll be glad you did. I didn't and I am too colorful! You're only in sixth grade, you'll get more color. For now, eat healthy, go outside, and drink lots of water. It may help.

Can you put sunblock on freshly peeled skin?

is it okay to put sunblock on your skin if it has just peeled off from recent sunburn?(such as on your nose-especially-or on your shoulders and back)
Can you put sunblock on freshly peeled skin?
yes... you probably should so you don't tan funny. This skin is new and not near as protected as your old skin so you don't want it to get burned.
Can you put sunblock on freshly peeled skin?
Yes, but ideally stay out of the sun and allow the sunburn to heal completely first. A floppy hat and T Shirt should do the trick
Reply:It would probably be best not to expose newly peeled skin to too much sun. However, if you do, use a very high spf.
Reply:of course you should apply sunscreen to 'healing' skin. A good brand of sunscreen doens;t just protect you from damaging sun rays, it also helps heal your skin from previous damage..just make sure its a good brand, with healing ingredients.

When will my tan go away?

this past friday i went to this concert

and i was outside for most of the day

well yehp i got a horrible sunburn cuz i didnt use sunblock

and my arms are so tan now

...

does anyone know like when will it go away..and how can i make it go away faster???

thnx
When will my tan go away?
One of my friends really likes being pale [she has dark red hair so it looks good on her] and she got really tan this one time. She told me how she used some whitening toner and it made it go away faster.

I personally don't know if that works. You might just have to wait it out. But be sure and wear sun screen everytime you go outside or you'll get even more burned [and tanned].

Pale skin and freckles?

i have really really really pale skin with a bunch of freckles. I can't tan (naturally anyway) and i sunburn all the time and really easily. Is there anything i can do that won't totally damage my skin so that im not ghostly pale?
Pale skin and freckles?
A woman without freckles is like a day without sunshine. This is an old quote but it pertains today as it did then. And, anyone can 'tan' with the right amount of exposure over longer periods of time without harming your skin or you body. Check out herbal tanning solutions.
Pale skin and freckles?
Personally I think freckles are kind of cute. I have always wanted some, which may seem weird. For tanning you could buy some GOOD tanning lotion, not the cheap stuff. Remember not to over apply.

Best of luck to you!

=)
Reply:if you're a red head w/ pale skin %26amp; freckles ... you're gorgeous! be sooo happy w/ what you have. i always wanted what you have when i was little (i was very dark skinned, had long black hair %26amp; no freckles - i looked like a little indian girl). now i embrace my heritage, but so should you. ;)
Reply:Firstly always wear a sunscreen!!!

Try using a fake tan on your body %26amp; some bronzer on your face. Try not to be in th sun for long periods of time without sunscreen on. If you protect your skin now from further sun damage your freckles will fade over time.
Reply:As a healthcare provider, and a fellow fair skinned, freckled person, I can tell you that for you to try to tan is to invite skin cancer. It's not worth it. The best tanning lotion in the world will not protect you...or work. The fake spray on tans are an option..or the fake tanning lotions. Either way, its what you have...we are who we are. I personally have finally decided that I am proud of my ghostly shine. I will tell you that once when I was overseas I was shocked to find out that in England and the British Isles, very white skin is considered extremely attractive. The same in the Bahamas. All of the sudden I was flooded with attention. So....beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Reply:I am completely with you on this one girl! i have red hair, pale skin, and freckles, and i used to want to tan all the time, but now i accept it for who i am and i love it! i get compliments all the time on my skin and my complexion! i know you might want to be tan, but just embrace who you are
Reply:HAH!!!!
