Can sum1 plz tell me of im correct?

is this energy transformations when sumone getz a sunburn..plz correct me if im wrong

electromagnetic energy (UV rays) to chemical energy to thermal energy
Can sum1 plz tell me of im correct?
You'll have to decide if you are correct. What happens is that UV light is absorbed by molecules in the skin. UV light is usually no good in causing damage by itself but when the excited electrons start coming down, they usually radiate the energy as photons of lower frequency (higher wavelengths) that can cause damage to tissues because these tend to directly effect the lower levels of electrons. These relaxation wavelengths include infrared photons which are normally considered thermal energy or heat and that's what really damages the tissues.

So how to differentiate electromagnetic energy from chemical energy from thermal energy? It all depends on your context. It's all rock and roll to me.
Can sum1 plz tell me of im correct?
switch thermal and chemical
