Help!!!!!!?

if i get a sunburn will it help to get tanner?

cuz i always use sunblock nd it dont help so what do i do

cuz i kno you could get skin cancer and i dont want that to happen but i really need to get tan!
Help!!!!!!?
Of course the best thing to prevent skin cancer is to use sunblock follow all label directions, and no this will not stop you from getting a sunburn if you are prone to burning the only thing that will stop a sunburn is no sun. If you try to tan on top of a sunburn you will only burn more. There is an old saying and it fits this case "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" in other words just don't get a sunburn.
Help!!!!!!?
If you want a tan, but not the risks of skin cancer you should try a self tanner.
Reply:Use Banana Boat "fake tan". I have same problem and now I'm paying the price for pre-cancer on my face, even though I used sun screen years ago. Take care of that skin!!! Jergens also has a "slower" tanning with a fake tan. They are inexpensive too. If you go with those spray booths; be careful not to inhale or get chemicals in any orifices.
Reply:go to your docter and ask him/her about it he'll/she'll probably give you some type of cream or something.
Reply:what i do is when I'm going suntanning i put on baby oil that soaks up most of the sun and does not give u a very bad sunburn
Reply:There are lotions you can buy now, that gradually give you some color. You have to put it on evenly otherwise you end up getting a darker portion than the other. The one I bought is called Malibu Hemp Golden Glow. It moisturizes while subtly enhancing skin with a healthy glow. I bought it at Walmart, where all the lotions are sold.

Anyone has a tip on how to provide good lighting condition for a venus flytrap?

i have three venus flytraps and one of them just died because i put it outside in full burning sun so it got sunburned anyways i read faqs about lightiung conditions and all of them tell me to either put it on full sun or direct sunlight so how did my plant died if i did put it on direct sunlight..anyways i hav 2 plants left as i was reading the faqs i also read that i have to acclimate my plants on a shade like a week or so outside does this mean i have to let them get accustomed to the outside temperature under a shade before exposing them to the sun? i also have lots of lightbulbs in my room i don't know ift they provide enough light for my plants do they yes or no? wat shoul i do any expert out there before i loose any of my other 2 because it seems like the sun is killing my plant instead of helping it plus my venusflytrap has not even developed the nice red color under the leaf instead it is full green....ty for ur patience
Anyone has a tip on how to provide good lighting condition for a venus flytrap?
I keep mine on a windowsill just out of the sun. The little paper thing about care of the plant that came with mine said indirect sunlight. You could put it anywhere it was getting sun but just not in the sun itself. Also you should keep the soil moist at all times. I usually moisten it every day or two to make sure it doesn't get too dry.
Anyone has a tip on how to provide good lighting condition for a venus flytrap?
Put the plants next to a window and they'll be fine.
Reply:It sounds like the FAQs are steering you in the right direction--the plants should be outside and I'm sure you've read they need to go through some sort of "winter" --whether this is in the fridge or outside will depend on where you live. Here's my suggestion: since you want to minimize the risk of killing them both, move one plant outside into the shade and GRADUALLY move him into part sun or sun over the space of about two weeks. Keep the other under lights inside, as bright and close as you think is reasonable without burning him. Put the inside one in the fridge when the time is appropriate (see the FAQs); deal with the outside one as is appropriate for your climate. They will die back in the winter. And of course, pay attention to moisture--there are tricks so that you shouldn't need to water every day, yet still keep moist. Distilled/Deionized or rain water as you know. As you've no doubt discovered, there's a lot of information online about how to grow these things--read it and find out what the consensus is. Good luck.

Oh, I did give my brother one--he kept it outside all year in the San Francisco Bay Area in part shade. It did well and bloomed.

Edit: I just reread your question and noticed that you say you have lots of lightbulbs in your room. Are these some sort of lights (fluorescent or compact fluorescent) that are set up specifically for growing plants? If so, that might be OK, although outside is still the better long-term solution. If they are just random lightbulbs to provide general room light, that's definitely inadequate.
Reply:You are correct in your assumption that the plant needs to be aclimated into it's new environment. The Venus Flytrap will do better in conditions that provide full sun, if it is a strong, healthy plant. The problem is, plants that are bought in the big box store are often in a weakened state because of the conditions that they have been growing in. High humidity+low light+moisture can lead to fungus and mold. The best information on planet Earth for raising any plant carnivorous can be found at the following link. http://www.cobraplant.com/cmd.php?af=385... These dudes have a fantastic e-book, as well as care sheets for each plant and a blog. If I were in your shoes I would go to the ask the experts section right off the bat. Then get yourself one of the e-books and read through it.
Reply:I have 3 Venus Flytraps as well, and they occupy a small space outside the patio of my apartment. The spot is shady, and it usually just gets the morning sun. I generally keep them out of direct sunlight for the most part, and only expose them to full morning sun everyday. I find the full-sun all day advice rather questionable. I tried that for a few months, and some leaves started turning brown and died. Some just turned black around the edges. Sunburn? One started going bad even while it was still forming. It's a wonder they haven't completely died. Ever since I moved them, they seemed very happy. Can't go wrong with morning sun I suppose. And yes, my plants have the red colors under their leaves. Good luck!

PLEASE HELp!!!!!!!!?????!!!!!!???? ITS URGENT!!?

I woke up last week and i had a obvious brown patch on my left side of my forehead. two days later my friend noticed my scalp was ever so slightly burnt on the left side. do you think i tanned unevenly on my left side of the forehead seeing as the sunburn is on d left side of the scalp??? and if so will i be able to tan evenly so the right side is tanned...like if i sit out in d sun wll they both become equally tanned??? (i tan easily)

(i no dis my not sound like a big deal but it is...its just too long 2 explain!)
PLEASE HELp!!!!!!!!?????!!!!!!???? ITS URGENT!!?
A brown patch sounds like sunburn, or skin cancer. Use sunscreen, %26amp; if the patch grows, see your Doctor.
PLEASE HELp!!!!!!!!?????!!!!!!???? ITS URGENT!!?
Well first calm down....Ok? Good..now try and put sunscreen on EVERY time your outside because this side sounds like early signs of a little skin problem. Try and go tanning, but not for too long, apply lotion and good luck.
Reply:Are you on any medications? It could be an alergic reaction or if you are on the pill, it might be melasma. I would check with a dermatologist.
Reply:Are you sure you didn't have a close encounter while you were sleeping?
Reply:I would have your doctor look at it. It sounds like maybe skin cancer..maybe. Don't freak out, just make an appointment..

Good luck.. I hope it's nothing but what you thought it was,,an uneven tan. But I would make sure first..

Heat rash maybe?

I was out in the sun for a few hours on saturday and I got these sore itchy spots on my face. It is in the shape of like wings. i know that sounds retarded- but that is the only way i can explain it. It looks like i have a butterfly spread out accross my rose and cheeks. It feels like sun burn tho(it isnt sunburn it is like little dots, i have never had a sun burn!). This morning when I woke up I had a bad headache and i felt terrible. I have also been sick a lot the past month or so. What is wrong with me? Please help?
Heat rash maybe?
you just describe a medical condition nicknamed Lupus. Go to the doctor right away and get a blood test. Lupus is a medical condition that causes the body to attack itself. You need to know what kind it is and what to do.
Heat rash maybe?
Just go tot the doctor and please post it and let us know wath was it.
Reply:heat stroke possibly or sunpoisoning is possibly
Reply:u wish it was heat rash!
Reply:You likely suffered from overexposure to the sun, it can make you quite sick with headaches and such. I would suggest staying out of the sun as much as possible and drinking lots and lots of water until it goes away. Also use moisturizer on the affected areas.
Reply:Did you have any products on your face when you were out in the sun? I know that whenever I am out in the sun and am wearing something with Aloe in it, I breakout. You couldv'e been sensitive to something on your face that the sun reacted to. If it iches or burns, go get your self some spray on Benedryl. It works really well for burns like that.
Reply:see a doctor immediately as seems like rosacea a skin condition

primarily do not procrastinate see a dermatologist

Reply:Sun burns and other rashes to the face can cause Headaches so can worrying or bad sleep. You can feel terrible if you get a bad Headache or also from poor sleep. Its probably nothing but I would go see a doctor if "anything" at all gets worse. You never know , try and think of other things it could be other then heat rash. Do some searches and view some images under yahoo images. Good luck.

Swollen ankle ??

i got pretty bady sunburned and my ankle has swollen up. i have to go to work tonight and i absolutely cannot ring in sick so is there anythin i can do to take the swelling down ? iv been sitting with my ankle up on a cushion and a ice pack on it....but its not really workin ??
Swollen ankle ??
Keep doing what you are doing and stay off it as much as possible. Depending on your job, try and arrange it so you will be sitting down as much as you can. If not, it will be a long shift.

Good luck.
Swollen ankle ??
perhaps soak it in epsom salts, or apply some pressure. there's not much you can do, the swelling occurs to prevent further damage.
Reply:I'm not to sure if the ice isn't workin because ice usual works for me?
Reply:wrap it i a tensor bandage
Reply:Sorry to say but there isnt really anything. I have had four sprained ankles and rest was the best thing. But my mum once had a bit from a jelly fish and her ankle swelled up, she put golden syrup on it and it went down. So that might help, also make sure you keep it straped
Reply:IT'S OKLANG.... what happened about your ankle, maybe the cause is not demaged by sunburn...Just sunburn couldn't take your ankle become swollen up..Did u see the doctor, if not yet. pls see doctor first.

Secondly, you press your ankle and observe it how deep when you press.. If it's deep and don't furbish immediately. Then, it have problems with your kidney....

last and not least, don't worry about it and have a happy emotion ..

Age spot removal?

I am 28 yrs old and have fair skin. I have never been one for tanning in my younger years %26amp; have never gotten sunburned. Everyday I use SPF 15, I wear a hat when going out %26amp; in general I avoid the sun like the plague. At a very young age I have been anti-age obsessed, unline the other girls my age who would tan. So you can imagine my shock when on my left cheek I developed a SUN SPOT! First, I can't imagine how since as I said I take so many precautions. And 2nd, I want to get rid of it. I went to a dermatologist who confirmed it was a sun spot. She put me on Tretioin 0.25% cream. However, creams like Retin-A, hyrdroquinone tend to scare me.For one, I really don't want chemicals on my face. Hydroquinone has cancer causing properties and is banned for use in Eurpoe. And Retin-A may actually WORSEN hyperpigmentation on spots and can reoccur once you stop using it.

What I am looking for is a NATURAL way that is effective in PERMANENTLY erasing this spot!!!!!!!!!
Age spot removal?
I think you can buy a bleaching cream for that, but you have to apply it every few weeks..
Age spot removal?
I don't think there is a non-medical way of removing this. You will have to use an anti-pigmenting cream or banishing creams. This is just your natural predisposition and with your fair skin it is more visible. Don't worry about other people who expose themselves to the sun because they might not be showing it right now. Later on in life they will pay for it by having leathery and wrinkly faces.
Reply:You could try lemon juice but it would probably take forever if it even helps at all. Why not use the cream you got from the doctor for just a short time and see if it helps. Using the cream for a short time really should not hurt you at all.
Reply:stop using a sunscreen (which only filters bits of uva/uvb) and use a sunblock SPF 45 or higher which blocks all rays. Keep with the hat. Also use sunblock on arms and legs. Cremes to fade I dont know. American Laser Center has IPL treaments that fade. Expensive. Find out about the use of Intense Pulse Light in your area. Now I sound like a commercial. good luck

This is usually caused by a virus...have it check out NOW...if you have no insurance...er must except you...just tell them you are homeless and new to the area, don't give them license number or social or they will bill you!!! good luck

Your sppine is the center of your body and all of your nerves go through it, if something is off it could affect ANY area of your body, you would be surprised.

Whats wrong with my skin?? HELP?

I had a sunburn about a week ago and my skin peepled (normal) well the areas that my skin peeled is now waaay lighter than other parts of my body and its not in just one area but its kinda spread out on my back and a little bit on my arms and doesnt look too attractive... It doesnt hurt or anything like that it just looks different from my natural skin color
Whats wrong with my skin?? HELP?
Yeah it's the new skin... you got burned, it takes time for the new skin to form. Just put some lotion on it, stay OUT of the sun and you should be back to normal in a few weeks. In the future wear SPF... you just upped your risk of skin cancer.
Whats wrong with my skin?? HELP?
I think you burned the skin cells. It may be cell damage and I think that there is no treatment for that.

Your skin is scarred that color.

I burned my hand badly on the top heating element of the stove once years ago and I still have a whiter area where it was burned.

How can I even out my skin tone?

I went to Mexico on vacation and I guess I got sunburned- and YES I DID WEAR SUNSCREEN!

Anyways, a few days later it started peeling in random places- the inner part of my elbows, random circles about the size of a dime on my arms, splotches on my back- basically, nothing is even. The spots on my inner arm are worst because they're large- about 6 inches long, maybe 3 inches wide- and very light compared to the rest of my skin.

It seems to be done peeling for the most part, but I'm left looking like a zebra.

Essentially, I'm asking if there's a way I can even it out? I'm sure my tan will fade but it still won't be light enough to match the skin underneath.

Schools starting soon and I don't want to be stuck wearing sweatshirts the first day. Thanks!
How can I even out my skin tone?
try using the Palmer's lotion to even out your skin tone. or the Ambi even and clear. it is for all skin types. they fade discoloration and evens the skin tone.

Why is my skin peeling???

a couple days after i went to the beach i got a little sunburned on my back. then my nose and forehead skin started peeling a tiny bit then it stopped after a couple days. then the skin on my shoulders started peeling. it doesnt hurt. skin skin where it peeled is now white compared to my tanned skin. why is this happening? once i got back to america it stopped. what can i do to keep it from peeling?
Why is my skin peeling???
Maybe you are losing a suntan.
Why is my skin peeling???
Just let it peal, it is dead skin that is why it is peeling. No reason to worry, your fine.
Reply:use lots of aloe vera or just regular sun tan lotion...that ought to do the trick, i always peel when i get burnt
Reply:The best way to keep from peeling is to not get burned. You burned the skin in those areas and it died. Use sun screen prior to getting in the sun and moisturizer after.
Reply:You need it to peel because that's the burnt skin that's trying to come off. It's unhealthy to keep it on your skin, let it flake off. In fact, try scraping it off with a pumice stone. If you let the skin stay on, then the mutated skin cells could metasize and skin cancer can be next. Just use aloe vera to help with the burn.
Reply:one word SUNSCREEN!
Reply:you need to wear sun block. Trust me, it's totally normal. The outside layer have been burned and our falling off for the new skin to come to the surface. It will go away eventually. But don't keep peeling your skin because if you keep peeling it it's going to leave a scar or it will start hurting reeally bad.
Reply:use a a aloevera lotion
Reply:next time you go sunbathing, apply more suncream! but all you can do now to help your skin is to apply lots of body-lotion, moisterizer etc. hope this helps :)
Reply:it is a symtome of a first degree burn (sunburn) the skin dries out and the outer layer which is already a dead layer forms another dry dead layr underneath. this causes the most outer dead layr to peel off. do not worry this is perfectly normal. to keep this from happening during the day when you are around people, use aloe. avoid rubbing it or messing with it.
Reply:because you got *burned* and your body is shedding the dead skin so it can heal.
Reply:The sun dried out your skin!

Lotion, lotion, lotion and you'll be fine. And smell good!
Reply:stay away from the sun, sweetie!! trust me
Reply:You have sunburn on your skin,It will start peeling when it die.

Don't worry, just rub your own urine on to the skin, you will get back beautiful skin soon.

Urine is a natural medicine been used for thousand of year.

2 weeks ago, I have a cut on my finger when I was in forest.I have no other medicine but just urine on my finger. Now it is recover without any scar

I have............?????

sunburn on my fingers tips like where the nail is but the other side where you press it on a finger print. its hurts a lot and i usually get it after i go swimming. has anyone had this before???? well it hurts freakin bad. how can i get rid of it?
I have............?????
I've felt that kind of irritation after swimming, but I don't think it's sunburn.

It might be that the chlorine is too harsh for your skin and your fingers become pruney from being in the water so long, and when they dry out they're really parched.

Rinse off with tap water immediately after getting out of the pool. Be sure to use hand moisturizer daily, especially after you wash your hands and shower. And it never hurts to keep your insides hydrated (after all, your skin is your largest organ), so be sure to drink 8 glasses of water every day (not juice or soda).
I have............?????
I doubt it is sunburn. I suggest you see a doctor if you are concerned.
Reply:Hi Asya, Is this when you go swimming only that this happens?? If so it could be a sunburn. Go to Wal-Mart they should have several thing for sunburns and ask someone that works there which would be the best to help with pain and healing. Good Luck.

A Friend.

Has anybody ever done a glycolic peel?

I just did a glycolic peel for the first time and I was wondering if the dryness is normal it looks like I have a really bad sunburn. My skin is tight and dry. Also, what did your skin look like while you were doing it? and Do you know if I can use a mild scrub tomorrow morning to help get rid of the dry skin.
Has anybody ever done a glycolic peel?
Yes, dry, very reddened tender skin. Do not use a scrub, it will further irritate your skin. Put plain vaseline on your face to sleep. Gently wash face with very mild soap %26amp; tepid water to remove some of the vaseline.

Get into the shower and let the warm water gently hit your face and that will remove some of the dead skin. Do not try to peel it, you will scar your face.

Your skin starts to look like it has been burned. You will have some blackened strips along with the reddness. End results are wonderful.

Can you tan through a window?

can you get a tan or get sunburned through a window when your indoors?
Can you tan through a window?
Trust me, I've been sunburned on many vacations before we even got to our destination! You can definitely get a tan or burn through a window - be it a car window in my case, or a house window in others.
Can you tan through a window?
Keep your own natural skin.Tan is stupid
Reply:Yes. Glass does not block the UV radiation.
Reply:im not sure..but i dont think so
Reply:sure and starter for a the for the the pit.
Reply:Yes, unless the window has been treated with special window treatment (which most windows aren't), you can get a sunburn while indoors.
Reply:Yes you can, but not as much as outside because glass blocks some UV rays. Not completely, but enough to make tanning slower.
Reply:Yes. My left arm is darker than my right arm because of driving with my arm next to the window.
Reply:yes, if the sun is coming through than you are tanning.

Make up tips?

i have brown hair, brown eyes, and a really light tan, but im still red from some sunburn. i was wondering what is a good way to make my eyes look larger and also make my face a little brighter, and maybe good eyeliner/eyeshadow/lipgloss colors?
Make up tips?
Eyeliner makes your eyes look bigger. Bronze foundation will make your face glow and look gorgeous. A good eyeshadow color would be gold. With the lipgloss, don't go too dark or bright. Stay with a subtle pink/nude color that's not much different than the color of your lips. I would stick with black eyeliner.
Make up tips?
You don't need that stuff. You are beautiful just the way you are. Women use make up to mask their ugliness. You have a natural radiance that should never be conceled.
Reply:maybe darker eye shadow?
Reply:use a little black mascara or eyeliner to make your eyes pop, use a shimmery facial whip or blush to make your face look brighter, a minimal amount of blue eye shadow will go nicely with brown eyes. a nice strawberry colored gloss would look good with the skin tone I am picturing. remember to go light and as natural as possible to make you look pretty and fresh!
Reply:first off the best cover-up and face powder is truematch, and it has like a million diffrent skin tone, so you can find the one that fits your tan, and then for mascara and eyeliner, you will want a mascara that has the "lengthaning" thing on the end, (you know the white part, it really opens up your eyes and lastly for eyeliner you would want "mac" it works the best!!!
Reply:Using a white eyeliner on your lower lashline will help to open up your features. Apply mascara but not without curling your lashes first! Use a blush that compliments your skin to freshen up your face. Nothing beats a clear lip gloss.
Reply:a good way to make your eyes look larger is to stay away from eyeliner. Eyeliner on the bottoms of your eyes makes your eyes look smaller. Buy a good mascara and an eyelash curler to curve your lashes, and it will make your eyes more open. I think green eyeshadow looks nice on tan people, but don't put on too much and don't put it all the way up to the eyebrow...that just looks trashy. A little bit of blue will make your eyes stand out too. Brown would look nice and natural, but if you want your eyes to pop pick a color that contrasts your eye color. Just put a little bit near your eyelashes kind of like a liner would look. Go with a neutral shade for lipgloss...or a clear one.

To make your face look brighter get a good moisterizer and don't use a lot of foundation and powder. I've heard that putting a bit of shimmer on the inside of your eyes ...by the tear ducts (near your nose) can make your eyes look brighter and make your face look brigher too.

Ask your friends and your mom/sister/whoever to borrow some makeup if you don't have any, and experament a little bit. See what you like so you know what to buy.
Reply:I have similar colors and have fallen in love with Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals. They are a bit pricey but I go with the Medium and Medium/Tan colors.

Beyond the Bare Minerals. I found that applying a SMALL amount of white eye shadow to the inner corner (closest to your nose) of your eyes makes them look bigger. In the summer/fall, I usually try to work the tan/burn. I'd skip the heavy foundation and use a shaded moisturizure and maybe a bronzer (without out glitter), physician's formula has really great ones. Go with glittery browns, bronzes, and golds on your eyes and only line the outer part of your eyes instead of all of your eyes. I like bronze eyeliner. It's softer so it makes your eyes look softer and bigger. Shockingly enough, lipsticks/glosses with a touch of orange really make brown eyes pop. For blush I would go with a hint of orange-ish pink. Just don't go overboard. Too much color is obvious and you just want to look fresh. Play around. Have fun.
Reply:It doesn't matter what your skin tone is, I think a good mascara and clear lip gloss is really all a girl needs. It's just enough to give you a little something extra but it also helps you keep a beautifully natural look. Not only does it take 10 minutes to do (TOPS) but guys dig girls who look natural.
Reply:I am going to make some corrective comments on some answers, and provide some of my own ideas.

Less is more, keep that in mind. You need to start out with a small amount, you can always add more, but it's much harder to take it off without having to start all over.

Eyeliner does NOT make your eyes bigger if used incorrectly. Eyeliner used sparingly (think very thin line) on your top lid will do the trick and in brown to look natural. Black looks harsh on people with a light tan, brown hair and eyes. You might even try a dark green color! I have it, and it looks nice. You can't tell it's green very easily, but it pops the color of your eyes! If you have specks of color in your eyes (such as gold or green), use those color eyeshadows to complement. Use a lighter color on the bottom crease, and a slightly darker shade along the brow line. Also, to make your eyes look even brighter use a highlighter shadow (obviously this will be a light, natural color). Sally Hansen I believe has trio shadows with complementing colors according to your eye color. It's either that or Almay that carries it. Bronzer is a good thing if used lightly. Too much and you look dirty! I don't use foundation at all, it just melts under the sun and looks cakey, but I definitely use concealor on certain areas, including any blemishes of course. Hope this helps

Please help me?

You can get this numbing lotion with lidocaine and aloe at the store. (WalMart, CVS, Albertsons) My mom used to put vinegar on ours when I was a little kid. It burned like heck but did feel better afterward.

Reply:Aloe vera gel. applied regularly, as in every half hour. it is really soothing. moisturiser is also a really good idea as it'll reduce peeling later. any oral pain killer, like tylenol, will help if it is bad pain, ask your parent/s if you can have some if it really hurts. it is really important to apply aloe and moisturiser now as they will have far less of an affect later. taking a bath or shower with the water comfortably cold will help. before going out in the sun again make sure that any burn is covered with clothing, not just sunblock. if it is your face, be careful not to get aloe in your eyes, it'll sting, and wear a hat. better yet, stay inside.
Reply:Like everyone else said- Aloe Vera is great.

Also, drinking milk and taking prenatal vitamins will get your skin to heal much faster
Reply:Lots of suggestions for aloe, and that works, but another thing that will help is to take a baking soda bath (sprinkle some in a cool bath and soak in it).

My dog has an inflammation on his muzzle, right next to his nose. It's pink but not scabby or scaly or itchy.

I have a healthy 2 year old male Australian Shepherd. For the last three weeks he has had a pink inflammation on his muzzle, just on one side, right next to his nose, about the size of a quarter. It doesn't seem to bother him--he doesn't scratch it and it isn't scabby or scaly. Sometimes it appears a bit brighter pink, then gets a little paler but never goes away entirely. The skin doesn't seem swollen or bruised, just pink. The fine fur in that area seems to be thinning as compared with the fur on the other side of his nose. It almost looks like a patch of sunburn just in that one spot and initially I thought it would just go away on its own. It has not spread beyond that one small patch. He doesn't seem bothered by it but it looks sore to me. I just don't know what would sooth it--he would probably lick off any kind of medicated cream. Thank you.

you should go to the vet because it either is seriouse. or normal .. but i stroly suggest you should atleast call a vet :)

Really white skin????

My skind is really white. It sunburs VERY easily, and I can't get much of a tan. Is there something I could but on my sundurn to turn it into a little bit of a tan? Is there something I can do to prevent sunburn other than use sun block or sunscreen? Also, does anybody have any sugestions on what spray on tan or something like that I could use?
Really white skin????
Go in the sun often and alot, wear lots of sunscreen and sunblock, and gradually roast the crap out of your skin!
Really white skin????
Have a look here.
Reply:yah i am da same way!!!!! but try not to burn cuz u have more of a chance of getting skin cancer because ur so fair skin. just try to use as much sun block as possible. and u can try self tanning. i use L'OREAL sublime bronze tinted self tanning. try med-dark. it really works and u wont turn orange!!!!
Reply:wear lots of sunscreen and if or when you do get sunburn put aloe on your skin every few hours. It gets rid of the burn and also keeps you from peeling and it turns your burn to tan.
Reply:dont ever use spray tans. use neutrogena lotion thats gives u a glow tan..its healthier...and i think white skins are beautiful u shouldnt change that
Reply:my sis has the same proboblem....try using BANANA BOAT SUNTAN OIL. it works great, smells good, and isn't sticky like all those creams.

Deportation, the fun and easy way?

I do not want an ugly fence streching the length of the Mexican-American border!

AT least no a big 50ft. tall one.

Why not build a HUGE superslide!

One with water!

100 ft tall and the only stairs ar on our side and there would be a couple tunnels ever 75 miles or so!

The illegals try to get in and have a REALLY goo time trying, but in the end, they can't and even if they could, they would be so tired and sunburned, that all they would want to do is go home and sleep.

Makes ME want to move to the border. How about you?
Deportation, the fun and easy way?
I agree! Let's change the word 'deportation' to something more fun, too, like call it 'change of venue'. I'd wanna live on the border and watch the sunburning.

And here's a fun and easy way to deport them:

Load them up in a canapolt and launch it in the general direction of what ever country they came from. It will get them out of our country any way! :) And they will have a fun extream ride!

Your idea is kinda funny.... but remember, just say no to illegals.

Sickness? disease? Warning signs? ugh! weird help!?

Ive had a wide array of symptoms over the past few weeks. First my period was late by almost a half a month (i did get it, and i did take about 5 tests, all negative), my eyes blew up and got infected and later turned into a sunburn looking rash, frequent urination, constant headahces and sinus aches, increased anxiety and always tired! is my body trying to tell me somethings wrong? or is this just all in my head. very stressed all the time. such bad heartburn( ALWAYS HAVE THIS) low blood pressure, it sucks. my body jsut aches randomly sometimes as well and sharp pains in just random places, its just getting annoying. i went on an antibiotic for the swelling of the eyes, but what the hell is going on with me
Sickness? disease? Warning signs? ugh! weird help!?
Hi Hallie

Wow! That's a lot of stuff for anybody. Our bodies are always giving us signals and you have 8 at one time and that is kind of like the last straw. You sound like you're on level 3 and the next level you might have a disease. It's time to make some changes and the stress is the first one to address. You know plenty of ideas to fix that, so please fix it.

The 2nd thing I would do is go on a detoxification. Eat organic raw fruits and vegetables (especially) for the next 5-7 days and start drinking at least a gallon of distilled water a day (to rehydrate and flush toxins). Juice fasting would be better, but you need to get a juicer first.

You also need to do a colon and liver cleanse. If you don't have regular bowel movements everyday (3 times a day), then the toxins sit in the colon and get into the blood and this is what causes illness and disease. You must rid of the toxins in the body! Take control of your health and you'll have control on your destiny. Any questions click on my name and email me.

Best of health to you
Sickness? disease? Warning signs? ugh! weird help!?
You're getting old. It happens to the best of us. I must say, though, if that's you in the picture and not just an avatar, then you look pretty "healthy" to me!
Reply:The increased anxiety could be because of your period being late and you thinking that you were pregnant. Not sure what the other things could be. Your doctor might need to send you to a specialist.
Reply:Could be a number of things. You need to see a doctor asap.

Do not wait. You could have something serious just starting and you can get a grip on it.

I do not want to try to speculate what it could be. But dont think it is all in your head.

Go to the doctor tomorrow.

Reply:sounds like me!!! its aging my dear
Reply:It could be any number of things. It sounds as though you may have an anxiety disorder. Both anxiety and depression can cause/increase any and all of those effects. Alternatively, you could have a physical illness that is causing the anxiety.

It's best to see the doctor.
Reply:Well it may as well be just one of your listed symptoms that is giving you all these problems Anxiety but you should see your Dr. because these could be signs of another under lying illness
Reply:Doesn't sound like a disease from what you've said. Sounds more like you're not eating right, resting good, or getting enough exercise. I've felt sorta like you (except for the period part) at times and found out by accident that getting out and moving around helped quite bit, along with eating and getting my rest. You're probably more active than me already because I have a disability that limits me, but still, you might need to move about more.

It might be a good idea to go in for a complete physical if you don't feel better soon.

Hope you're chipper again soon.

Here day temprature is very high nearly 36 deg celcius.

can she wear hand gloves of cotton of shoulder size that is 25 " %26amp; as well as white Apran to avoid sun stroke?

If she can wear those gloves %26amp; Apron, then tell abt the pictures of those gloves as well as apron.
How to avoid sun stroke?
heavy smoking is going to affect her lungs shortly...don't worry about sun stroke....ask her to quit smoking considering her family value
How to avoid sun stroke?

Removal of sun(liver)spots.?

Removal of sun(liver)spots.?
Try Porecelana or Nadinola cream. They are available at the drugstore. It takes a month to 6 weeks to work so be patient. Otherwise use a cover up stick to touch it up.

My nose is peeling?

this week i have got one sunburn[[i even reapplied my sunscreen]] now my skin is peeling on my nose and i made the mistake of picking at it... the skin is very red and hurts to touch.. i evne tried lotion and aloe.. HELP??
My nose is peeling?
Apply some moisturisor on it and stop picking at it. It will heal soon.
My nose is peeling?
just leave it alone and it will peel off properly and become normal again.
Reply:Ow! If you buy Noxema and put it on your nose the burn will heel properly and you won't have to worry about it eratating your face because its mostly for your face. I have used this stuffed many times and I have super sensitive skin and I get hives alot with different face products and I found Noxema never gave me one ounce of trouble. And when I have a really bad sunburn on my face i just put the Noxema on my face and it started to heal and I to pick and picked at it. Hope this works good luck - Andrea
Reply:Even though you reapplied sunscreen. You can still get burnt especially on those sensitive areas like the nose. It sounds like a sunburn. Keep putting Aloe and sunscreen on it. If tit keeps getting worse, talk to your derm. (dont worry especially if you were vaca-ing somewhere like Florida)

How can you get a redness tint out of your face?

it seems when i am natural (without makeup) i have a redness tint and its not because of a sunburn

HELPP!!
How can you get a redness tint out of your face?
Are you a native american?
How can you get a redness tint out of your face?
I have that too. Just wear a makeup that has a yellow tint and not red tint. It is perfectly normal.
Reply:either go to a dermatogolist, or get a lotion or makeup that hides or fixes it. I'm sure its not that serious unless its abnormally red.
Reply:I have the same "problem", use a concealer or moistureizer that has a green color to it. ( Avon has a new daily moisturizer just for this problem.) the green cancells out the green and makes your face look smoother.
Reply:They have face powder in a light green which cuts red. My sister and I both use it and it really works.

Also if you wear foundation you should put the powder on before the foundation for a smooth finish and shine control
Reply:Go to a dermatologist and get it checked out they should be able to help you. It could be because your either way to hot or way to cold also. But i still think you should go to a dermatologist
Reply:I have the same problem. Do what the people above me said with the makeup tips, but I have also found there are other things you can do to help.

For starters, although I love the color pink and red I try to avoid wearing them as my tops because it just brings out the pink in my face.

Also, I went to the salon to get the red tones out of my hair because that also brought out the red in my face.
Reply:It sounds like you might have rosacea. It's a skin disorder that mostly affects people with fair skin who blush easily. A dermatologist can give you a lotion or gel that helps with the redness - tetracycline helps, too. You should stay away from spicy foods, vigorous exercise and the sun - anything that makes your blood vessels dilate will make the condition worse. What works the best for me is mineral makeup. Bare Escentuals is the brand I use but there are other brands on the market, too. It's very lightweight, doesn't rub off and is put on with a brush - it's a powder. It completely covers the red.

If humans are Intelligently designed...?

...why are we so prone to sunburn? Why do people go bald? Wouldn't teeth be better in one plate-like ridge instead of pieces that need flossing and brushing? Why is the heart so prone to failure?

Reply:The teeth are made perfectly for eating all foods, cutting, grinding and everything. The teeth perform a function and it works so there is no problem, the brushing thing is dumb and you just might as well ask why we need to shower, or clean our shoes when we walk through the mud.

Because of our sun, which in the beginng if there was indeed a canopy of water in the atmosphere (as stated in the Bible) then man was not prone to sunburn, and since we sinned and God destroyed the atmosphere to shorten our lives the radioactvie elemnts come through.

The heart like anything else wears down in time, yes some are born with problems and others are not. God's plan for cetain people, but indeed for most people the heart stands strong and does everything that it needs to... alot of this has to do with what we eat, and the things that modern man eat or put into our food.

As far as baldness goes....i will have to get back to you on that...
Reply:Some Christians say it's because Eve ate the wrong fruit, but they're missing the point. While our bodies are not intelligently designed, that doesn't mean that our tailbones, vestigal hair, and so on are necessarily harmful.

It also misses the political point of the ID movement, which is supposed to put the Christian theology into the background (or at least pretend to).

Then again, you're looking for reason from IDiots.

Edit: The idiocy of the "vapor canopy" lives on.

Several points. First, absence of radioactivity would not prolong our lives. Lifespan is strongly correlated to telomere length, and those get shorter through cell division, not radioactivity.

Second, every scientist considers the "vapor canopy" to be a joke.

Third, we have mountains of evidence against every detail of the young earth creationist crowd.

Fourth, ID is a form of OLD EARTH creationism, and it's (supposedly, but not in practice) separate from YEC and Christian theology. If the only thing you can do to save it is invoke YEC and Christian theology, then you know as well as everyone else (and the whole world, post-Dover trial) that ID is bankrupt.

Amazing how many different answers you get to that. Particularly the one about how we're de-evolving following the great fall and how we're falling apart or something. So macroevolution is true, but science has it backwards. Or the water canopy thing with radiation, etc.
Reply:God gives us common sense. Why sit out in the hot sun like an idiot and let yourself get sunburned? Why do some people willingly shave themselves bald? If our teeth were one plate like ridge, what would happen if part of it decayed? Why do people smoke and have unhealthy diets? The question you've asked are pretty pointless and stupid, but then again, you are an atheist so perhaps we should expect as much. LOL. Our bodies our intelligently designed. We, however, have to start making intelligent decisions in the things we put in and do with them. Peace and God bless.

Wondering what color to dye my hair and how to cut it!?

Ok, well here's the deal:

I have been waiting all summer to get my hair styled/cut and now that my appointment is next week... I need suggestions on what to do with it! :)

I have a light skin tone.

I don't tan. (I sunburn! )

I currently have a *dirty blonde* shade of hair, that can't make up its mind if it is a super light brown, or a really dark blonde... it changes with the seasons.

I have blue eyes (If that means anything)

I am thinking of going brown, but am not sure if i should make that change! And I am having trouble picking out a shade!

AS FOR MY HAIRCUT:

I have pretty long hair... just around 2 inches above my elbow. I am playing Volleyball this year, So i will need something long enough to go into a ponytail. I Maybe I should get a few inches taken off so it is shoulder-length. I was thinking about getting a layered...but not in the *usual* way. Like get only a few chunks that high or that low... IDK.

Please help me!

(websites help 2!)
Wondering what color to dye my hair and how to cut it!?
girl, do not color your hair!

i have that same unique shade.

I MEAN WHEN DO YOU SEE THIS KIND OF HAIR?

its a beautiful honey blonde, or its a light brown, and it is so unique.

dear God help you.

do not dye your hair!

as for the cut,

i'd say medium length! its so versatile, i mean, you can do ANYTHING with it, ponytail, braid, curl, straighten!

i think that you should get layers and that you have a wonderful idea,

if you want natural, ask for little texture(they will know waht you are talking about) if you dont want natural, ask for a lot!

dont get short bangs though.

for two reasons.

1. it'll be hard to get them out of your face,

and 2. long bangs look prettier

Wondering what color to dye my hair and how to cut it!?
get layers and brunette an it would look reall good but don't get your hair reall short just get it below ur shoulders
Reply:DO NOT CUT YO HAIR THAT SHORTT U'LL REGRET U. IDK BUT I THINK GIRLS WHO HAVE BLUE EYES WOULD LOOK GREAT WIT A REALLY REALLY LIGH BLONDE . LIKE BROOKE HOGAN SHE LOOKS PRETTY WITH DAT COLOR AND SHE HAD ICEY BLUE EYES
Reply:go brunette.

and keep it shoulder length,

my friends in volleyball keep their hair shoulder length
Reply:i would get it cut short (like to your chin) layer it and get blonde highlights. for volleyball you wouldnt need to put it up bc it would already be short!! :]
Reply:Get a honey brown. It's like a light brown with some dark blonde. http://www.abcwigs.com/images/ry/f_honey...

Then get long layers. If you get choppy layers, it will be hard to put in a ponytail, and then it will look weird.

All of these would work: http://www.hairstyleswatch.com/sub/long-...

Reply:Do the layered thing, and go light brown. Blue eyes with light brown hair is really pretty.
Reply:i would choose a lighter hair color because if you go darker it will just make you look even more pale. As for the length, your hair sounds beautiful! i would maybe cut a few inches and layer it but i wouldn't cut it up to your shoulders, long hair is so pretty!
Reply:don't cut your hair short! (short short) maybe like 2 inches and layer it and i think black and brown hair go good with blue eyes :-)

light brown is also good

What is wrong with me? Do you do any of this?

I can not stop pulling my goatee hair out. One by one, i sit and pluck them out. I also pull hair from other parts of my body. I've read about a condition called trichotillomania, but it seems like most of those people pull out BIG patches of their hair on their head. I dont do anything like that. I think mine is more OCD related. It relaxes me or helps me think. I also enjoy picking scabs, peeling sunburnt skin, popping zits, etc...

I know its...like...all like...bleh...or whatever. Anyone else take pleasure in any of this sick sh!t?
What is wrong with me? Do you do any of this?
it really does sound like trich....some people have mild trich and the hair loss isnt noticeable. mine used to be noticeable, i had very short hair....then i stopped for awhile and my hair looks good and longer again but i recently started and theres a smallll section thats like 2 inches shorterr, but it isnt noticeable unless i show u the difference. when i would do it, it helps me relax cause i also have anxiety.

i also still do my eyelashes and eyebrows

your other habits i think may also be considered trich, but if not its def ocd.

hope this helps!!
What is wrong with me? Do you do any of this?
I pull out my eyelashes and eyebrows. One by one just like you do. I don't know if it is just a nervous tick or just some odd thing I do, but it is nice to know I am not the only one. I don't think it makes either of us crazy.
Reply:I also pull hair out, pick at scabs/cuts to make them bleed, and bite the skin around my nails and my lip until it bleeds.

Just habits.
Reply:Personally I don't take pleasure in any of the above mentioned activities, but it's not what I would term sick behavior in the least. If you are concerned what you should begin to do is to first pay attention to what is going on in your surroundings and with your moods when you begin any of those activities. When you can understand why you are doing these things you can work on not doing them at all. (I assume that since you called this behavior sick that it's something that you do indeed want to stop). It all comes down to redirecting yourself to do something more soothing and perhaps less self debilitating. If necessary discuss this with your doctor. He or she can help decide if medication might be helpful or perhaps even seeing a therapist. I wish you luck.

I need advice for an ill piglette, 4 weeks old with a major case of the poops..?

we just got a 4 week old piglette. she took heself off the bottle/formula about 3 to 4 days ago...she is eating pellet food and drinking water....we did catch her eating dog and cat food so we put them up and she is still having the problem. she shivers alot and seems to have sunburn on her head, ears and back....what can i do to help her problems and does anyone know what it can be from? any information will be greatly appreciated...she is NOT a potbelly she is a regular feeder pig like for 4-H being kept as a pet. thanks for your time in advance.....
I need advice for an ill piglette, 4 weeks old with a major case of the poops..?
There are many causes of diarrhea in pigs, especially baby pigs. Some require antibiotics, and some just time. The most important thing to do for your piglette is to make sure she is getting enough to drink - make sure she has plenty of water. Babies of all types can get very sick very quickly when they have diarrhea. You may need to contact your veterinarian soon if your little one doesn't get any better, if she seems to be acting very tired, or if there is any blood in the diarrhea. As to the shivering and the 'sunburn' - it could be signs of a fever (although pigs can get sunburned just like us if we stay out in the sun too long). Good luck with the little girl!

Why is the new layer of my skin red, irritated, there are tiny bumps and its itchy?

my face was sunburnt a while ago and my cheeks turned bright red for a few days, than it started to peel.,,, it looked like my face was healed .. but a few days later the redness will come back at the exact same spots.. and a few days later it would peel again...this happened a few times now.. and each time i made the mistake of peeling off the skin when it wasnt ready to be peeled off..this time i waited for it to peel on its on..now all the dead skin has peeled away but the new skin is still slightly red.. there are red tiny bumps in some areas so it feels irritated and itchy? it still feels like my face is hot at times.. i thought this was suppose to stop after the peeling? what is wrong and what can i do to make it better? will this go away.. and how long does it take for new skin to heal?
Why is the new layer of my skin red, irritated, there are tiny bumps and its itchy?
It sounds like a pretty bad sunburn, it sounds like it could be a little more than just a typical sunburn but could be more serious. I would see your dermatologist or a regular doctor
Why is the new layer of my skin red, irritated, there are tiny bumps and its itchy?
u prob have contact dermititus
Reply:A good bet it's soap that's irritating you face. Find something milder
Reply:Well you could have either an allergy to the sun or a skin condition called ( rosesatia) not sure of spelling but you need to see your doctor about it. Or hell it could just be razor burn if you are shaving your face with a crapy razor.
Reply:Keep your face cleaned, and apply some aloe vera. Try using a milder soap, it could be affecting your sensitive skin.

Hope this helps ~ Elle

How to make your suntan go away?

ive been in the sun too many times, and now i have shorts talines and tank top tanlines. i want to get rid of my dark tan. what do i do? if it helps, im asian, and i never get sunburn.
How to make your suntan go away?
use sunscreen when you're out in the sun...a higher SPF would be best. you just have to wait for the tan to fade away, exfoliating may help some, but it will still take time.

If you cover yourself up for a couple of months (yes months) the coloring of your skin should dilute naturally.
Reply:stay out of the sun and it will go away on its own. Or you could use sandpaper and scrape away your top layer of skin... I'd probably just wait it out.
Reply:stay out of the sun let it fade
Reply:exfoliant and long baths
Reply:Stay away from the sun. Slap on moisturiers with sunblock before u step out of the house. Alternatively, try using self-tanner to make the tan lines less obvious.
Reply:Exfoliate (this will help remove the dead skin cells on the top layer to speed up skin regeneration), wear sunscreen EVERY day ALL OVER (to keep from getting any darker) and moisturize.
Reply:Stay out of sun. Use products that bleech the skin. But be very careful.

You may just have to let it go away on its own.

Try a dermatologist. They will have the correct answer.

Is there any ways to....????

make a sunburn go away over night? I went swimming today and I got burnt. My nose is like red as a cherry and my whole face and shoulders and back and cheast is burnt. How can I make it go away over night?
Is there any ways to....????
overnight isn't gonna happen.

get a cocoa butter or aloe lotion.. just keep the sunburn hydrated. that'll help it go away sooner AND prevent peeling once it does go away.

making a sunburn go away overnight is just impossible.
Is there any ways to....????
i don't think u can
Reply:not over night, just keep it moisturized so it doesn't peel.
Reply:no...it goes through stages..............first you heal and then you peel and you're just as white as you were before...
Reply:aloe helps, but it will have to fade with time
Reply:not overnight, but aloe might help with the sting.
Reply:apple cider vinegar-stinks real bad, but it takes out the sting and helps with the redness a little.
Reply:no..make up can hide but that is dangerous..
Reply:I don't think it can go away that quickly, but I know using baking soda in bath water takes a lot of the pain away. Follow up with after sun lotion,Noxzema for your face. Sounds weird but I've used it before.
Reply:There is no way to make it go away over night. Aloe Vera is good for the pain though.
Reply:I don't know about making it go away overnight, but Aloe Vera will help. Next time use a good sun blocker.
Reply:try applying alot of alovera cream and perhaps, rub gently on the burnt skin until it peels off completely?? i hope it helps
Reply:You're not gonna believe this, but.....run a bath and pour about half a gallon of white vinegar in it. Then just relax for about 30 minutes. For the parts of your body NOT touching the water, use a washcloth and lie it over them. More than likely, it will completely be gone by in the morning.
Reply:you can make it a lot better. put aloe vera gel on it, it will really help and may make it completely go away if its not to bad
Reply:Take a cold shower, the water won't aggrivate the burn, and you won't peel.
Reply:nope srry =(

use some aloe vera and stay outta the sun too much

Sunburns suck?
Reply:Time heals the wounds
Reply:Put aloe vera on, that's the best thing you can do for a burn, and it feels soothing......you shoulda, put on sun screen, silly!..................:)......the aloe vera, also comes with a pain killer in it, they have it at walgreens, try it.

What good will Viagra do him?

A guy falls asleep on the beach for several hours and gets horrible sunburn.

He goes to the hospital and is promptly admitted after being diagnosed with second-degree burns on his legs. He's starting to blister and he's in agony.

The doctor prescribes continuous intravenous feeding with saline and electrolytes, a sedative and, every four hours, a Viagra pill.

The nurse says, "What good will Viagra do him?"

The doc says, "It'll keep the sheets off his legs." :)
What good will Viagra do him?
I've heard some cures and antidotes for sunburn but Viagra beats the lot! I think I need a few good stiff drinks now fidgety.

Errection problems?

i have two problems to address, and i hope you people can be serious, because i have been laughed off of other boards and this is a serious issue!

the first problem is, my penis is slightly bent, to the right..this causes discomfort in my lover and she says it hurts alot

second

for the past few weeks i have had this flaky kinda plasticy film over the head of my penis, and it hurts when i peel it off...do i have sunburn or something?
Errection problems?
you are sick sick sick. thanks for the two points
Errection problems?
Go to a friggin doctor... why are you asking a bunch of teenagers about this???

2. syphillis
Reply:do you masturbate a lot, something you've done caused this irregular form to the penis and 2nd I don't know what the hell is that about, you may need to seek medical attention.
Reply:I'm not really sure, best advice I can give you is to see a doctor asap.
Reply:DUDE, I WOULD GO SEE A DOCTOR ABOUT FLAKY/PLASTICY FILM. YOU DON'T WANT TO MESS AROUND WITH PROBLEMS ON YOUR PUD. AS FOR THE BENT ISSUE, TRY DIFFERENT POSITIONS WITH YOUR PARTNER TO SEE WHAT IS MOST COMFORTABLE FOR YOU %26amp; FOR THEM.
Reply:Dude!! why don't you ask the doc for complete %26amp; correct info.

Why u even bother asking on forum boards such as this to get laughed at??

A visit to doc will end all ur miseries...
Reply:i don't know? sorry.
Reply:Umm, neither of these are a problem with your erection itself then?

A curvature in one's penile shaft is a common problem caused by an imperfect circumcision operation. Everyone's born with this flap of skin thing that can cover the tip of the penis. In circumcision, they cut that off, and since you end up with a lot less skin, the penis is held back slightly (until the skin can stretch to compensate) If the circumcision doesn't take off the exact same amount of skin from each side, sometimes the penis ends up getting a little crooked. (Mine's to the left a bit) so far as I know there isn't any real way to fix this.

A flaky film... umm, could be a dried discharge. When a guy gets excited, he sometimes starts leaking a bit of a clear fluid that would normally be used to lube up for the act. If that dries, it can form a bit of film that does indeed hurt to peel off,n and it does look something like a sun burn. I can wash it off when that happens, although that takes a lot of scrubbing, and I find peeling to be less painful. My best solution so far is to either wipe it off while it's still wet (I generally know when I've gotten excited) or soak it in the shower for a while.

Of course, if you've been with someone, and you're not entirely certain that she's disease free, or even if this is a new thing that you've never experienced before, you might want to make an appointment at the family planning clinic for a checkup. The doctors aren't the most friendly and accomodating types, but it is free.

Problem skin: any comments or suggestions??!?

i can't stand looking at myself in the mirror and avoid it at pretty much all costs. lol seriously, not only do i have acne (which has gotten way better over the past couple of years), my skin is dry but yet oily. what i hate the most is how red my face is; it's just across the middle too. almost like a sunburn only it doesn't fade or get better. i look like a ****** raccoon or something! man during the summer i make sure i get sunscreen made special just so it won't clog up pores, but it really burns when i put it on! and i'm talking about my face face that's red, not the pimples. i've tried all kinds of antibiotics and washes. pro-activ worked great for a week or so, but then it got so much worse and my face burned all the time. it even hurt to touch it. so then i got the gentle solution but it didn't make any difference. i wouldn't have any problem dealing with my acne itself if only the redness was gone. does ANYONE have ANY comments or suggestions??!? gracias ta yal

Ask any question and it will answer correctly each time.

Wanna learn how to really use it? My boyfriend's friends did it to me and I got freaked out until I knew how they really did it.
Reply:Yep.
Reply:No you cannot tan with a sunscreen...and you shouldn't try. Get a spray fake tan. Save yourself the wrinkles and possibility of skin cancer. No you are not an idiot.....unless you are trying to tan.
Reply:You are not an idiot! Sunblocks have an SPF number, the higher the number the more UVA and UVB light they will block...

You shouldn't tan anyway, but if you must, use a 15 on your body and a 45 on your face and you will get some results.

I would suggest you buy one of those lotions that produce a "glow" or very light tan on your body. You put them on once a day and get a little color and no risk of ruining your skin and having freckles and wrinkles and skin cancer when you are older.
Reply:You're not an idiot. When you apply sunscreen, you will not get a tan. You don't want to get a tan anyway. If you protect your skin now, you will have fewer wrinkles when you are elderly. Tanning your skin is just damage to your skin. It's not healthy in any way. People think they "look" healthy when they have a tan. They're not. How do you think skin cancer comes about? Whether you tan outside or in a tanning salon, you can get cancer either way. Protect yourself now, and apply sunscreen before you go out in the sun, and consistently reapply it throughout the day.
Reply:Just remember that when you have a visible tan, it actually is an indication that damage has been done to your skin.
Reply:Sunscreens have a wide range of SPF ratings (from 2 to 60.) SPF means "Sun Protection Factor." The SPF rating is calculated by comparing the amount of time needed to produce a sunburn on protected skin to the amount of time needed to cause a sunburn on unprotected skin.

So, YES you can still tan while wearing a sunscreen. It just depends on what SPF rating your sunscreen has. I had a very fair-skinned friend who would burn severely while covered in many coats of SPF 50. Unfortunately for him there was no such thing as a tan, sunscreen or no sunscreen.

Oh, and also, you are not an idiot.
Reply:Its actually a good question. SPF will block out the rays of the sun for a specified period of time. For example, if you were to burn with in 15 minutes in the sun, and you applied SPF 30, you would be safe from burning for approx. 45 minutes. Read the packages for the specifics of each.

You will still get sun - whether a sunburn or suntan, depending on how long you are exposed to the sun. SPF only delays the effects of the sun on your skin.

Hope that answers your question.
Reply:you're not an idiot but don't forget to reapply the lotion every hour for continual protection.

Why Are People Buying Holiday and Retirement Homes In Bulgaria?

With Health, Hygine and Hospital and Emergency Services at such a primitive level it is virtually suicide to spend any amount of time holidaying in Bulgaria and other former Communist Block Countries! Even monor injuries are treated in barbaric a ludacrus ways! My son had sunburn on his feet and the hospital socked his feet in oil and bandaged them tight. They kept cooking until he was screaming in pain! We had to cut them off and force his feet into a bath of cold water! They do not have the faintest idea on basic first aid!

While we were waiting in the hospital an English man was brought in who had had a heart attack and been waiting 5 hours for a ambulance. The taxi drivers in the resort would not take him to hospital! BUY IN HAST REGRET IT AT LEISURE! Spain is still the best place in the world for holiday and retirement homes! Today the medicine and treatment is first class and they have the best transplant record in Europe!
Why Are People Buying Holiday and Retirement Homes In Bulgaria?
Maybe people don't realise or think of them things till there in the situation u were in? why did u decide to go there on holidays? just wondering?
Why Are People Buying Holiday and Retirement Homes In Bulgaria?
It also raises the prices of houses and the locals will be unable to afford them
Reply:People buy in the likes of Bulgaria because it is very cheap. There are other issues to that any one buying would have to evaluate as in available health care, language problems, cost of living and availability of food that they are able to eat.

As for Spain you cannot be serious just ask all those people who have purchased only to find the property seized by the government or even knocked down.

Spain lost then plot a few years back and many people are now out of pocket as a result.

Is there a way to get rid of freckles?

I have embarassing freckles all over my shoulders and chest from when I got sunburned really bad, is there any way to remove them??

Is there a way to get rid of freckles?
take a buttermilk bath, but it's temporary, or don't go in the sun that often...
Reply:If there is tell me!

I dont think so tho.
Reply:nope, unless you cut them off.............ouch!
Reply:Stay out of the sun, exfoliate, and mosturize--but it will take a really long time for the cells to grow out...
Reply:freekles are perminent you are born with them not every one has them
Reply:well there's coverup... but i don't think you want to put makeup on your shoulders and chest...

I think freckles are cute.
Reply:Afraid not. I have tried everything. But the sun only makes them show more so use a good sunscreen where you do have them so they wont be as noticeable
Reply:they reason why u have freckles is because the pigments in ur skin that get colored by the sun ( a.k.a. tanned) are clumped together rather then spread out evenly like on a person without freckles. so ur basically asking is their any way to get rid of a tan. the only thing i can think of is stay out of the sun until ur skin naturally replaces itself. cause rubbing lemon juice or anything like that never got anyones tan off... oh, u could always apply a sunless tan or airbrush a tan.
Reply:nope
Reply:there may be a laser surgery

but see a dermatologist

or your regular doctor
Reply:well u can always use skin bleach

I have freckles on my face but then I told my mom

I didn't like having freckles so she used

a skin bleach cream on my face %26amp; now they are disappearing
Reply:There's a way but it may be pricey you can go to the dermatologist and they might give you some cream to apply on everyday or similar things like that or they might laser your skin it depends. There might be other products out there but I recommend this because it surely works because my mum did it although it took her along time.

Good Luck.

A Friend.

How many people die on the streets in Las Vegas every day?

When I was in Vegas last week I saw two people that did not seem homeless but they looked as if they were on their death bed from heat, drugs, and alcohol.

One ladies skin was so badly burned that it was peeling up into thick and large rolls. A man I saw, his face was severely sunken in from obvious massive dehyfration and he was too severely sunburned.

How many people die like this every day out there?
How many people die on the streets in Las Vegas every day?
From reading your question, sounds like you've had very little exposure to life in a big city. Perhaps you're from a quite, smaller town where the quality of life is much higher. The reality is that you will find more people like that in larger cities, not just Las Vegas. I've been to all the major cities in the USA and see very similar people on the street. It's just the way it is, unfortunately.

I hope after seeing this, it will help you appreciate what you have. :)
How many people die on the streets in Las Vegas every day?
contact the Las Vegas coroner's office or the medical examiner there - they would have all of the numbers
Reply:yeah that nevada sun will really reek some havoc on you. And the las vegas lifestyle, i've heard, isn't too health conscious.
Reply:Sweetie, it's not just in LA.

Did you know that homeless people in New York City are known to fall in front of the subways while intoxicated?

Or that homeless people in northern areas freeze to death every day in the winter months? Or, some just starve to death?

Homelessness in America is a serious problem that needs to be addressed!

Help me!!!!?

i have these 2 red spots on my face, i recently went swimming indoors, and the skin on my cheekbones is bright red, there is no possibility that it is a sunburn. are there any remidies that work overnight, i think its chlorine burn.
Help me!!!!?
Relax, if it's chlorine burn, it will start to disappear before you go to bed tonight. Put a light moisturizer on it before bed. It'll go away, don't panic.
Help me!!!!?
Yes moisturizer should fix it :o)
Reply:Use Clinique moisturizer. I can't remember the name but it is pastel yellow. It will do the trick.

Pale and in need of a tan?

I am extremely, extremely pale. A lot of people go outside and get sunburned, but then this turns into a tan. I, however, ONLY get burned. I know the same would happen in a tanning salon. What can I do/buy to get a good fake tan that won't make me look like an oompa loompa? I would prefer answers from other people with fair skin. Hopefully your suggestions are inexpensive! Thanks.
Pale and in need of a tan?
I am also very fair and have trouble tanning. One product I like is a fake tan lotion from Coppertone. My secret is that I don't put it on straight- I put it on when I get out of the shower, before I dry off. That way, the water on my skin not only helps it spread more evenly, but dilutes it so that it isn't so thick. It only takes a small amount of the product for this to work, so it also saves money. By diluting the lotion, you don't get a sudden "whoa, I just turned orange" effect. Instead, it will darken you by just a tiny bit, and you can apply it every or every other day to gradually reach the color you want.
Pale and in need of a tan?
Go online and buy a good fake tan.
Reply:look for COPPERTONE SUNLESS TANNING, its got built in SPF too, n its GRDUAL tanning, so u pick yur color as u go, my frind's wyte as heLL n this worked AWESLMYLYYY on her
Reply:DO NOT GO TO A TANNING SALON! Fair skinned people are prone to skin cancer. Get a spray on tan, or a tanning cream or lotion. Be sure to exfoliate before you apply!

Good Luck!
Reply:Have you tried the spray brush tan? I don't know how expensive it is, but is safe and you do not stand a chance of getting sun poisioning from this.
Reply:I love the MagicTan system. It's nice and realistic and not orangey at all. It's at tanning salons across the country. Second best is Mystic Tan. Neither is cheap but they only need to be refreshed about once a week.

Otherwise, for a more gradual, more subtle tan, try one of the moisturizing lotion-slash-tanner solutions like Jergens or Dove. They do a decent job for very little $$$.
Reply:swimm like hell...dont wear gogles
Reply:Alot of top name brands IE nitrogena, Coppertone, banana boat...they all have self tanning lotions I would trust. if you do the tanning bed the right way, you may not burn. Talk to the techs preferably a knowledgeable one, they will guide you though every session so you don't get burnt. Start off with 4 to 5 minutes and use a good tanning lotion. I was told when I asked if it was safe for my 15 yr old (also very fair), to tan, that if she planned on being out in the sun this summer, it was a good idea to get a base tan because the sun could cause more damage if she burnt the 1st time out.
Reply:I am pretty fair to and I burn really easily and then i tan. What i have found to keep the perfect tan is to go out in the sun. but not to long. Then do it again everyday for like a week. Then maybe you skin will develope a tan. It worked for me. HIH
Reply:I have tanned in salons, outside, with sunless tanners. The best I have used (and cheapest!) is Vaseline's version with gradual tan amplifiers. Instead of using the pale skin version, I chose the medium instead, and it has worked great. I also recommended it to a friend who has skin like yours, and she now has some colour using the medium colour. Just remember to wash your hands thoroughly, especially around your fingernails, and don't use the lotion on the palms of your hands or the bottoms of your feet (can turn slightly yellow, despite what the commercials say!)
Reply:Try Jergens natural glow moisturizer. It gives you a gradual color that you can control, it smells great, and it works well on fair skin without looking fake.
Reply:Buy a fake tanner that isn't too dark for you. Usually it's when people use stuff that's too dark or far from their tone is when it makes them look orange. Maybe first try that will only have a subtle change from your current tone and see how it goes.
Reply:I am the same way. When ever I go outside to get a tan I end up getting burned really badly. You can buy "spray on tan" called coppertone sunless tanning, it is awesome and works really well. All you do is spray it on and you have a tan, simple as that. Good luck with your tanning.
Reply:Good luck girl. I am fairly pale too, I have found the best product for me was Neutrogena Build a tan. You can barely notice it the first time. But everyday you use it, it gets better. Then when you like the color of your tan, take a break for a few days. Make sure your skin is very moiturized or else you will get streaks. I think it is around nine bucks.
Reply:i am super pale too, but thankfully i am a redhead with freckles so it doesnt look very off. my suggestion is to just stick with being pale. when you see somebody that goes to tanning solons or uses fake tans, you can always tell that they are fake, no matter what the brand/ type is. plus all of your friends/family probably know by now that you dont tan, and when you get a tan all of a sudden it will be pretty obvious that its not natural. just be confident with your skin color, and be proud of who you are.
Reply:Why do you need a tan? Pale skin is healthy and beautiful. Think of all the pale models. If you must tan, it should be fake. You can go to a tanning booth and get airbrushed. Or you can try it yourself. The best option- if you don't want to be orange- is to get this airbrush spray tan at like Walmart. It washes off so you have to do it everyday. But it looks nice. However, don't feel you have to be tan. Be proud of your healthy skin.
