Going tanning at a tanning salon?

im going tanning for the first time, normallyif i lay out in the sun for a while i get a great tan but recently ive been getting burnt and schools about to start so im just gonna go the quick way and go tanning to even out my skin color due to peeling from my previous sunburn. my main question is how long should i go in for the first time and if i go every day for like a week if i shoud that is how long till i get a nice tan....btw i dont want noone of that dont go tanning ull get cancer stuff i knwo what im doing and no i dont want a spray on tan. than kyou.

It depends on the bed. The counter person should advise you on how long you should go in for, based on your skin color and its condition. I haven't been tanning in a salon in over a year, but there are actually restrictions on how often you can go. It's at least a full 24 hours. Every other day should be fine, especially if you get a high-powered bed or a stand-up booth.

Well, if you went tanning everyday for a week, you would die. Seriously.

Reply:The first couple of times I ever went, I stayed in for 5-8 minutes. Since you'll just be starting out going, try to go only 2-3 times the first week. I have been going for 5 years now and I still only go a maximum of 3 times a week. Try to keep it that way.. You can get a great tan without going every day and it's much safer! : )
