Sunblock actually causing skin cancer?

I have a cousin who began seeing a naturpathic doctor and she now thinks that sunblock actually causes skin cancer, and now she refuses to wear it. So all summer she%26#039;s been getting sunburned. Is there evidence that this may be true, or is she unknowingly putting herself at risk?

She also thinks that soy products are very very unhealthy. Is there evidence of this being true as well?
Sunblock actually causing skin cancer?
her%26quot;doctor%26quot; gave itself that label so people would believe it. That %26quot;Doctor%26quot; is an idiot. Your cuz, needs a real doctor and a good medicial book from a hospital student. Maybe her doctor is starting a cult and needs followers. who knows.

Sunscreen protects you from the UVA and UVB rays that the sun shines down on earth. It creates a barrier between your skin and the sun. The more sunburns she has, the higher chances she has of getting skin cancer. Every burn increases her chance by 30%.

And soy products are natural. so what%26#039;s up with that. I think your cousin needs a head doctor cause she is either lying or retarted or needs attention from lack of parental love or something. NOW you just keep wearing sunscreen in at least 30spf, and do it religiously, and soy products are best for people with sensitive skin. I use them and my skin looks soft, supple and very healthy.

If you read up on it, it doesn%26#039;t cause skin cancer.

You can get skin cancer using it or not using.

the Spf creams and lotions, do not prevent skin cancer, but protects you from UVA rays (burning rays) from the sun..

there is no guarantee.. but if definitely doesn%26#039;t cause cancer or they wouldn%26#039;t sell it......
Reply:Your cousin needs to read-up on the subjects of sun blockers and skin cancer.
Reply:The reason people think that is because since the invention of sunblock the incidence of skin cancer has went up. Maybe the correlation is not that sun block causes cancer. Maybe it is due to the fact that people now spend more time in the sun because they think they are now immune to the effects of too much sun.
