Men and Wearing Make-up....??

When I was 7yrs old I was in a fatal bike accident. I have a huge scar above my right eye from it. I am also part Irish via my Mom%26#039;s side. I inherited the red face gene. Myself, my Mother and a couple of her siblings have this %26quot;red face%26quot; thing going on. They have all been to a Derm. to find out what it is. The Doc says that it%26#039;s a Irish thing and nothing we can really dd medication wise.

I work as a Server. I am always getting comments from people that I am sunburned or embarassed or that I must have high blood pressure. It gets pretty annoying. I notice that it seems more and more men are using make up these days. I was curious if anyone can recommend something that I can match to the skin tone to blend out the red face thing. It%26#039;s like the first thing people see and comment about it. Then if they see the scar They comment on that too. I wear hats as often as I can. But can%26#039;t at work. Is there something like cover up or a bronzer or a powder that won%26#039;t dry my skin out??? Thanks...

ok try true mach because it maches your skin tone really well apply this with a big makeup brush and blend well. then apply cover up stick to your scar. remember the key to apply makeup is to make it look as natural as possible. if you have lots of friends who are girls then take them with you when buying the makeup because they will know how to much the makeup to your skin tone. good luck
Men and Wearing Make-up....??
ummm hard question. go to a makeup person in the mall and ask them about it they might help u wit it better...
Reply:bobbi browns makeup should work, im sorry about the accident hope you feel better about yourself soon
Reply:i would think you%26#039;d be more embarassed when they notice the make-up---i wouldn%26#039;t use any--i have facial scars and the red british ruddy complexion--i drive a bus--i%26#039;m not worried/annoyed --everyone has some sort of abnormality about their appearance--forget about it
Reply:Definitaly try bare minerals by sephora.Itis a mineral and your skin DOES NOT dry out from this. They have matches for every skin tone known to man and it is a great product . You cant tell that you have it on so this would be a great product for you and it really works.
Reply:If it is to cover up an injury.... that is okie dokie. there is what%26#039;s called a foundation brush... on the handle of the brush it has powder foundation in it. it comes in lots of skin tones...鈾?br>Reply:wearing make-up doesn%26#039;t mean you%26#039;re gay. If you feel more confident, then put some on. I prefer Bobbi Brown or MAC foundation. Find a foundation that matches your face color the most and buy it. Or maybe ask help from the salesperson for choosing it because you%26#039;re a guy so i think you wouldn%26#039;t know how to start.

But one thing, if you have a dry skin, don%26#039;t forget to put mosturizer (find one that is for men) because putting foundation on a dry skin can make it even drier.

When you apply the foundation just make sure, it%26#039;s smooth all over your face because if it%26#039;s not smooth, people will know right away that you apply it.

Either MAC or Bobbi Brown would have a good one for you to use .

Hope I did help you something. BE CONFIDENT!!
Reply:I have the Irish blush also. (have you gotten a medical opinion of your own, it may be rosacea (sp?) which is treatable). If there%26#039;s nothing that can be done medically, you may want to try a redness minimizing tint or primer--something with green tones to even out some of the blushing. I use smashbox color correcting primer in green. It%26#039;s incredibly moisturizing too.. no need for a separate lotion. Mac is not a good stand-alone product for dry skin.

If you need to cover it to be comfortable, go for it!! People wouldn%26#039;t think to question your sexuality if you were born with a crooked nose that drove you crazy if it could be treated by plastic surgery. To each their own.
